I did my sons birthchart on cafeastrology and it showed his Houses as follows - 1st- Aries, 2nd- Taurus, 3- Gemini, 4th- Cancer, 5th- Leo, 6th- Virgo, 7th- Libra, 8th- Scorpio, 9- Sag, 10th- Cap, 11th- Aqua, 12th- Pisces.... All signs in the Natural Planets??? Is that odd? Or does that Cap in 10th change if his cap is in Uranus and not its ruling planet??? IP: Logged |

It looks as though because he has Aries Rising all of his cusp signs are in their natal houses. However that doesn't necessarily mean the planets are there also, unless he has a splash chart and each individual planet is in its own house as well as in it's own sign. It's not uncommon because many people who have Aries rising or even Pisces rising with Aries intercepted can have the natural house signs on their natural house cusps. But it is interesting. quote: Tripny: Or does that Cap in 10th change if his cap is in Uranus and not its ruling planet???
If Saturn is in Capricorn and Uranus is in Capricorn then, Saturn is at home in the 10th. Uranus will not be home because the 11th is the domain for Aquarius. Planetary house placements are important because they show how exactly the energies of each particular planet play out in addition to aspects. For example. I have Mars in Aries in the 1st house. Therefore Mars is at home in Aries and at home in the first house. This energy is potent and at it's most natural. I also have Pluto in Scorpio in the 8th house. Scorpio is at home in Pluto and at home in the 8th house. This energy is also very potent and at it's most strongest and natural. IP: Logged |

Your right Joan. I am new at this and it did just look that way to me because of the Aries rising. Thank you for helping me understand ------------------ “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson IP: Logged |

Thank you Randall. And no problem Tripny. quote: Randall: Would that make for a well-rounded and balanced person?
I'm not sure. I think astrologically it should however, I've meet people with balanced elements, planets in their signs at home for example Jupiter in Sagittarius, Moon in Cancer, Sun in Leo, Venus in Libra, however they weren't the most balanced of people. I definitely think it would make for a well rounded person because they'll know a little bit about everything. But it's hard to balance those energies because the elements aren't in harmony with one another. But it's definitely possible. IP: Logged |

It's neither good or bad or unsual, it's just as is for that person... Basic astrology Now basically your sun sign is your 'core beliefs, values, ego' and Asc is your physical body, mode of expression and mask and persona that we all wear and hide behind, but definitely not what's going on underneath. What's going on underneath is your Sun sign. Moon sign, house placements and aspects describe your emotional and intuitive responses, also describes your view of your mother, as saturn describes your father by sign and house position. So, think of a glass milk bottle the bottle is your Asc and your sun the milk, but the milk still has to 'come out' through the glass neck of the milk bottle.... Now aspects within a natal chart represent 'facets' of our personality, because we are all multifaceted beings. What these do is 'break down and compartmentalise' these facets into smaller bite size chunks. This does take quite a lot of self analysis and objectivity to 'see yourself' and why you do certain things and behave in certain ways. Actually it can be quite good therapy... Remember back to your school days an opposition is 180', square 90', trine 120', and sextile 60' Now challenged aspects are conj (depending on the planets, cos some like each other and some really don't) squares and oppositions. Easy aspects are conj (if the planets get along) eg: Jupiter conj Moon, sextile and trine. Quincunx is inbetween (depending on the planets) causes health strains and unresolved or hard to balance planets/energies. Uranus is *at home* in 11th house being it's natural home and this is simply a generational planet for masses of people born for your generation in Cappi. AND unless it makes an aspect to a personal planet, probably won't be felt... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detriment_(astrology) ------------------ I love the parable, “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, BUT if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for life.” IP: Logged |
