I understand that Peregrine Planets/Luminaries are planets that are either in the sign they rule, exhalted, in detriment or in fall, and they make no other major aspects (in the natal chart).

Major aspects only include: conjunct, opposition, square, trine, sextile... and do you include quincunx? Any others?

Is that correct?

Do you include AC/MC or anything else as points or is it only planet to planet/luminary?

peregrine belongs to Traditional astrologers terminology...

peregrine
“Definition of PeregrineForeign, alien. Said of a planet posited in a sign where it possesses no essential dignity: where it is neither dignified nor debilitated. It is employed in Horary Astrology, where it is usually reckoned as a debility. In a question of a theft, a peregrine planet in an angle or in the second house, is the thief. However, no planet is reckoned peregrine if it be in mutual reception with another. “ http://www.astrologyweekly.com/dictionary/peregrine.php
Dr.Farr says –“I personally have long ago come to reject the peregrine concept as invalid” http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showpost.php?p=297610&postcount=3

Traditional astrology uses lots of complex terms, sect, that are not used in modern day astrology http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essential_dignity

“Many modern astrologers take little heed of essential dignities, with the exception of domicile rulerships (see article on ruling planets.) This is most likely the result of the simplification of astrological technique that occurred when astrology lost popularity beginning in the eighteenth century” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essential_dignity

occidental and oriental
“Oriental means to rise before the Sun, occidental means to rise after the Sun. The qualities, significations and humoral qualities of the planets can change considerably according to whether they are oriental or occidental. For example, most planets gain in height and hair when oriental.” http://www.skyscript.co.uk/gl/oriental.html http://www.khaldea.com/planets/oriental_intro.shtml http://www.khaldea.com/planets/oriental_houses.shtml
at the bottom menu gives info on which planet is oriental http://www.astrologyweekly.com/dictionary/occidental-or-oriental.php http://www.your-astrology.com/oriental-vs-occidental-horoscopes.html http://www.superglossary.com/Definition/Astrology/Occidental.html
