So, if I have Venus in Aquarius as part of my own chart, is it then amplified by the effect of Venus moving into Aquarius ?

And if that is the case, what should I look for that might happen?

Probably somewhat, but not significantly (at least to my experience it hasn't).

I also have Venus in mid-Aquarius.
I think it might have some significance but Venus is a moderately fast moving planet so it will have a nice effect probably but not necessarily so powerful. Pleasurable times I assume for the next little while

venus is a relatively fast moving planet, so you get your venus return rather often...so you might not notice it, or you just become a bit more romantic for the time being
