In astrology, you will be dealing with four factors. Learn "what, how and where" the energies are operating and you know alot.

The Four Factors
Planets, Signs, Houses and Aspects

*PLANETS are the energies. "What" energy is actually operating.

*SIGNS are "How" the energies operate. The planets in the signs indicate character - the individual pattern from other lifetimes. The signs show how the energy (the planets) is conditioned and how it operates. The planets in the signs show your capacity, ability or power to achieve what is indicated by the nature of the planets. SIGNS are the type of energy a planet has at its disposal, or needs, for proper functioning. Signs qualify or color the energy of the planet(s) in it

*HOUSES show "Where" the energies will work; the circumstances. Houses indicate the environmental pattern where you will work out your destiny. They indicate the opportunities offered by your environment. Houses are "Where" a planetary energy operates or is released in your life; the particular arenas and circumstances each of your planets operates in.

*ASPECTS (the flow of force between the planets) show your use or abuse of the energies operating in your magnetic field. They show dispositions and the predispositions to action and reaction.

The horoscope or birthchart is an X-ray of the personality. It shows how we operate within our personal magnetic fields. We are miniature universes. Every energy operating out in the larger universe is operating in our persoonal magnetic field for we are part of that universe. Life flows. Changes take place. Energy is released and how we release it is the all important factor. The birthchart shows the tendencies and conditioning. It shows what can happen, not what will happen. We have the right to choose not to respond to life negatively. The birthchart rules the personality in the world of appearance, but we are spirit too. If the real self operates we rule our stars (energies) and are not ruled by them. (- this paragraph by Isabel Hickey)
**********************************************

Try giving an example of an aspect in your chart using this new knowledge.

Tell us 'what' energy [planet] you are interpreting, 'how' it operates [through sign], and 'where' it expresses itself [through what house]. Can you include something about an aspect it makes to another one of your planets. Be creative. There is no wrong answer. Write a sentence or a paragraph. Give it a shot!

Uranus in scorpio in the 12th. (placidus)

intuition/innovation expressed in terms of regeneration/enlightenment in the impersonal/absence of "self". perhaps there is some intution regarding the reality of manifestation.

Saturn in virgo in the 10th.

discipline/limitation expressed in terms of health/service in the career. perhaps a life spent learning and practicing healing crafts such as massage or medecine.

moon in taurus in the 7th house. seeks emotional stability/security from others. possible negative and trending towards dependency and possibly positive and trending towards pickiness in terms of the true sincerity of friends sought.

mercury in leo in the 9th house. swift clever thought expressed dramatically and proudly in the area of travel or philosophy. perhaps could be interpreted as a tendency towards philosophical debate.

Sun in cancer in the 8th house. "self" is nurturing and domestic expressed in the area of life concerning death, regeneration and inheritance. ??? (criticism is welcomed)

venus in cancer in the 8th house. aesthetic beauty expressed as nurturing and domestic in the area of life concerning death, regeneration or enlightenment. hm... any clues?

mars in gemini in the 7th. action expressed in terms of swiftness of thought in the area of life concerning relationships. perhaps could be interpreted as a marriage concerned primarily with the intellect.

jupiter in leo in the 9th house. dramatic and proud expansion and growth of philosophy. could mean a LOVE of travel, as it seems that jupiter is somewhat exalted in this house.

neptune in saggitarius in the 1st house. illusion and altered consciousness expressed in terms of freedom, philosophy and honesty in the area of life concerning the FACADE. could be interpreted as good or bad... im hesitant, any suggestions?

pluto in libra in the 11th house. power, regeneration, rebirth, enlightenment expressed gracefully in the area of life concerning friends and acquaintances. perhaps a somewhat aloof or reserved appearance but never unfair or unwise in dealing with friends.

comments and criticism welcomed!

all i've eaten today is broccoli so i am feeling a little woozy and maybe after dinner im gonna come edit

Venus in Gemini in the 5th.
Sense of asthetic beauty expressed in terms of variety, swiftness or intellect in the part of life concerning fun, sex, and kids. maybe you get on good with kids or maybe you are gonna have cute twins! and maybe you are experimental with sex.

Sun in Taurus in the 4th.
"Sensation of being" is grounded and steady with a clear sense of your family history or somehow your father either forced you (possibly by not being there) to or taught you to be down to earth.

Moon in Virgo in the 8th.
Emotion expressed in terms of asthetic beauty and/or service expressed in the area of life concerning death/rebirth, regeneration, or enlightenment. maybe thats why you volunteered to help teach an astro course! there is something emotionally fulfilling about offering yourself to others in terms of their spiritual journey.

cont...

Saturn and Mars both in Leo in the 7th.
Action and restriction expressed proudly/dramatically in the realm of life cocnerning business partners or spouse. maybe you are single (or often single)because there is a conflict between what you actually "do" and what circumstance will allow. or maybe you have chosen a partner and you have a clear sense of what is and is not acceptable in terms of how you express your love to others. hm... kinda sketchy on that one actually. anyway with that i can see either an extremely dramatic life with the spouse or complete renunciation of that kind of relationship.

Pluto in Libra in the 8th.
Regeneration, cycles, death/rebirth expressed intellectually and gracefully in the forum that you express this type of thing. maybe on a conscious level there is skill and grace when it comes to sharing ideas in place like this (lindaland). hm this seems to me like an extreme placement (in terms of possibly being equally negative and positive simultaneously or cyclically) although i cant put my finger on how it might manifest.

Neptune in Sag in the 11th.
Altered consciousness/poetic idealism expressed honestly in the area of life concerning friends and acquaintances. although possibly considered eccentric by friends, never considered phony or contrived always genuine. i imagine there is some popularity but it is often wondered "what do they find so interesting?" because of the tendency towards recluse. (i know that was a big jump but i just gotta know... are you a bit of a recluse or renunciate, without being totally adverse to social atmoshperes?)

Jupiter in Cancer in the 6th.
Expansion expressed in terms of nurturing taking place in the area of life concerned with "chores" or "daily-life/routine". You either have the ability to accomplish a great deal at home, you possibly have to capacity to earn a good living in your own house doing what you do, without feeling even slightly out of place. Maybe many people are stopping by your house on a regular basis, or maybe even you are gonna have a BIG family. but if you do have a big family it seems like you would like it.

Mercury in Taurus in the 3rd.
Swift and stable thought communicated. you would be a good teacher because you know exactly what your own point is (that you are trying to teach) and you will be able to keep the ADD kids on track. i am betting you have the agility to catch a kid that gets off track and quickly straighten them out (in terms of the thought/learning process that you are guiding that student on.) there are certain students who would thrive with this kind of teacher/tutor/intructor, and that would be the "ADD" kind i think.

Uranus conjunct MC in Scorpio.

ok, intution "infused" into a "lifepath" of investigation into either "manifestation" in general, or especially the sensation of "being" and the mysteries of life/death. perhaps you would be best off always paying attention to the "first thought". the application of rational thought to matters of "enlightenment and life/death" should probably only be done for the purpose of benefiting others (where verbal expression is needed) and never for the purpose of personal comfort. it seems like for you the "first thought, best thought" mantra applies (not serisouly suggesting repeating that hehe) and with the advanced teaching ability that "first thought" could possibly be verbalized very skillfully. but with the IC in taurus maybe there is the chance of over-thinking gut-feelings and settling on them as 'truth' because of the desire for comfort (but since there will be the gut feeling that the "comfort" is unstable and subject to decay the possiblity of long term "spiritual" stagnation is practically non-existant.

ok, but you realize you are doing ME a favor, dont you?

Venus conj Mars in Aries in the 2nd.
asthetic beauty/service fused with action expressed in terms of action in the area of life concerned with acquiring. you have the potential to be 100% physically healthy and probably have lots of vitality. mars enhances venus which denotes acitve-service which is interesting, i bet you have a unique job.

Chiron, Mercury in Taurus in the 3rd
the wounded healer that straightens others out after he has straightened himself and the swift and clever thought both expressed with stability in the area of life concerning communication. pay attention to whether you have the tendency to play the "martyr" with others, tell me if you do cause thats a shot in the dark without seeing your picture and talking to you and anyway please lemme know if i am ever way off.

Sun in Taurus conj IC
i wish i knew what sign your IC was in, im still a bit confused with some of the planetary aspects to Ascendent.,Descendent IC, MC and pars fortunae.

Jupiter in Gemini in the 5th
expansion expressed in terms of swift clever thought in the area of life concerned with fun, kids, sex and enjoyable relations. perhaps you are a bit of an intellectual, education is definitly highlighted, whether its formal or not you probably will keep learning throughout life. in love, maybe trying new things will make you happy.

Saturn in Leo in the 7th
discipline/restriction expressed proudly and dramatically in the area of life concerning partnerships in business or marriage. hm, i hope im not going way off here but again i wonder about the "martyr" thing. please lemme know if i am way off but maybe there is a tendency to feel restricted by your partner or with partnerships in general... the other possibility is that you learn the discipline that is needed to maintain a partnership, through your partner, which can be very fulfilling and liberating.

Pluto in Libra in the 8th on the 9th cusp
death/rebirth, regeneration and enlightenment expressed with grace and charm in the area of life conerned with death/rebirth.

Uranus in Scorp in the 9th conj MC
Intuition expressed in an investigative manner in the area of life concerned with travel/philosophy fused with your life-path or karma. Studying the mysteries of life and death or contemplating enlightenment is ultimately a part of this life. i think this is a positive aspect.

Neptune in Sag conj Moon in the 11th
Altered consciousness expressed idealistically fused with emotions expressed in the area of life concerned with friends and acquaintances. maybe you have group of friends that you drink or do drugs with. or it could be that you idealize a group of friends that you would like to spend more time with.

Moon in Sag on the cusp of 12th

ACS conj Eros in Cappy

ohhhh, im tired, im going to bed and i will do more tommorow. please understand i am just practicing and it would be really helpful for you to give me feedback.

Thanks sssssoooo much!!!
Venus conj Mars in Aries in the 2nd - my job isnt unique at all, I am just an assistant and I change my jobs very often beacuse I always seem to have problems with my bosses (afflicted Uranus on MC, I think)I read somewhere that Mars in the 2nd means that I love to buy things for people I love (this is very true)
Chiron, Mercury in the 3rd - 'the wounded healer that straightened himself and the swift and clever thought both expressed with stability...' - YES, very true
I think Chiron in the 3rd has also something to do with my relationship with my brother, I have always suffered from his coldness towards me as if I were just a stranger to him and nothing more...
'A martyr complex', yes, sounds familiar I had some of that when I was about 14 yo but now I am well aware of it!
Mercury in the 3rd - I am into foreign languages, people that know me well say that I can be very sarcastic (opposition to uranus)
Sun conj IC, home is where my heart is: HOME SWEET HOME my mom is a Leo
Uranus on MC, my dad is an Aqua rising, very eccentric and unusual person, we've had some tough times though we love each other very much; I moved very often, about 9 or 10 times!
MC in Scorp: I have always been very interested in poisons, crimes and stuff like this
Sun is in opposition to Uranus on IC/MC line - my parents divorced and this divorce was very painful for all of us
Jupiter in the 5th - I am very generous to my friends and those I love BUT I dont like children and I dont like dating (makes me feel like committed must be my Lilith on the cusp of 5th house
Saturn in the 7th - I am very slow to commit and still not married (am 28 yo) and see any kind of relationship as restriction of my freedom (Uranus squares Saturn)
Pluto in the 8th - dunno
Neptune conj Moon in the 11th yes, I idealized my mom and like to nurture and mother my friends, they say I am a good but a bit strange person
Moon in Sag on the cusp of the 12th; am very idealistic and sensitive, easy to hurt so I usually hide my true feelings, have prophetic dreams often

See how you inspired me?! THANKS again! :kisses:

It would be interesting do yours

Thanks beebuddy! Great job.

I am often single. I dont take partnerships lightly. With Venus in Gem in the 5th, you might think otherwise but that Venus is actually sextile Saturn in the 7th. I am not into flings and if I see that a relationship is going nowhere, I will leave. Saturn is where you take things seriously. It's where things get heavy. My Saturn expresses itself in the 7th house arena. With Mars there as well, I am happiest putting all of my energy into a relationship. That is where my energy (Mars) is best expressed. But I can wait forever for the right person to come along if need be (Saturn). Action/restriction. Push-pull. It's a little hard having those two opposing energies in the same house. I find that I attract Saturnian and Martian type partners. Cancer on the DC colors things as well. But with Leo intercepted there and those two planets in that sign, I expect to be treated like a Leo would (like royalty lol), in relationships. I also tend to be quite 'Leo-like' in partnerships (the positive qualities of Leos).

I have to go now. I'll get back to the rest later. Again, great job. You are very good at this. I had a feeling Uranus was conj. your Asc. You are a born astrologer.

This I have to get a new feel for as I am used to just soaking in interpretations from a book, surprised at how many interpretations there can be for one aspect! I did mine by using the activity from another one of 26T's posts...Here's one of mine, very basic:

Virgo Venus in 5th square Sag Uranus in 7th:

Boundaries drawn (Virgo) around children (5th house/venus) create conflicts (square) with carefree (sag) originality (uranus) in close relationships (7th).

hi peri, i was torn between your job being super interesting or being secretarial (like the virgo would indidicate), maybe you have the potential for an interesting job?

as for the eros aspect i bet you are quite serious about love-making or that its a "serious" event.

here is my info...

hey 26taurus, i am gonna start reading all of the other stuff you posted lately. i have been spending all my time doing the interpretations so now its time to study! i always felt that astrology came natural but ive never (until now) really tried to learn the technical aspects of it. im gonna go to massage therapy school this summer and then i plan to learn how to "Rolf" and i think doing a patients chart would be a super sweet thing to do before starting therapy.

Beebuddy, I do go through times of reclusiveness. That could also be partly because of my 4th house Sun (and 8th house Moon perhaps?). I would rather let someone else take the spotlight, but I am pretty popular and do have alot of friends back home. My friends, you could say, are very much....Neptunian types.
Well done.

hi peri, i am gonna start on it in a few hours.

hi 26taurus, i was wondering if you could help me with a question. i was using the pullen astrolog to determine most/least aspected planets and noticed something that i really wanted to ask you about. at astro.com there is an option to "aspect lines to all" and i dont understand why you wouldn't aspect lines to all object automatically. so are there some objects that wouldnt be considered to be in aspect to each other normally? im really stumped on this one.

ok, here is your info Beebuddy:

Uranus conj ASC: natural-born ASTROLOGER, are you a kind of a solitary nature?

Uranus in the 12th trines Sun in the 8th: any clairvoyant abilities??
sextiles Venus in the 8th: ever fallen in love madly at first sight??
squares Mercury conj. Jupiter in the 9th: quest for self-discovery through religion though you wont give allegiance to any one form of religion, you would try to study as much as you can to form your own system of values, can be sarcastic, cast reflections on any absolute authority,
sextiles Saturn in the10th other people as well as your superiors usually respect your opinion
opp. Moon in the 7th: any committed or important relationships may end abruptly, leaving a deep hurt

Neptune in the 1st in Sag: dreamy and somewhat idealistic??
squares Saturn: prone to frustrations??
opps. Mars: you cannot work or complete the task when you are not inspired or disappointed?
Sext. Pluto in the 11th: what really gives you strength is your friends, or are you a possible group leader?? anyway I am sure you are a true and reliable friend that will never forgive a betrayal though

Mars the ruler of the5th in the 7th : early and probably hasty marriage, definitely a love match but with further disappointment?? (oppst to Neptune) ??

Chiron in the 6th: HEALER??? (!!!)

ASC in Scorp/Sun in the 8th: you need to be alone in order to maintain vitality, lots of Scorp traits

IC in Pisces, Neptune in th 1st: you need to be alone often and lots of space for yourself otherwise you might feel emotionally drained,

MC in Virgo: deliberative, thoughtful and have a talent for critical research, is your work connected with accounting or engineering or mechanics maybe??

My Mc is in Scorp. I worked in pharmaceutical, nuclear and insurance companies

DSC in Taurus: in close relationship you may acquire Taurean traits

Mars/Moon in the 7th: Do you attract independent and kind of unpredictable partners, a partner that is more of a competitor than a partner?? You take all kinds of relationship quite emotionally so when something goes wrong or you may become real enemies. You invest a lot of energy into relationships but if they disappoint you, you withdraw without hesitation. Moon in Taurus in the 7th : you crave for emotional and financial stability in marriage?? (hehe, we all do)

Venus in Cancer in the 8th: protective, caring, nurturing, deep and passionate in love… ahhh (signs ) serious-minded, want all or nothing in love and friendship, don't love with half his heart;
square to Pluto: demanding, possible power plays in love, need to control the other to feel secure??

When Mercury is in the 9th and the Sun is in the 8th, there is the likelihood that a person will seek a spiritual explanation for emotional suffering and this combination can lighten, quite markedly, the heaviness which so often goes with an 8th House Sun.

Mercury in the 9th: interest in spiritual and philosophical ideas and usually a very fine intellect; imaginative, creative, enthusiastic, idealistic; flourish in management work and innovative tasks

Jupiter in the 9th: expansive mind, interested in foreign cultures; proficiency in laws??
Any friends abroad?? Friends usually possess Sagittarian qualities?

Have you ever lived abroad for a long time?? a person with Jupiter in the 9th (ruler of the 2nd ) should venture overseas, then the quality of his life will be enhanced, both materially and spiritually

Saturn in the 10th: Lots of disappointment and struggles in life, many obstacles blocking your career?? Any negative experiences or absence of father??
You always have to work twice as hard as others to achieve the same success or results in life, don’t you?

Ohh, I am tired already , any feedback is very welcome

Hi beebuddy,

I had wondered about that too. I figured that by giving ALL aspects, they were giving ones that were slightly out of orb as well.....? (that's why I dont check that box) I'm not quite sure what they mean by that either. I once emailed astro.com with a question and they got back to me promptly. Maybe you could email someone there and find out. I'd be interested in finding out myself.

Lala? Any ideas?

Also, great job Peri.
