The two fish that symbolize Pisces are representative of their ability to swim with the flow. It also points to the dual nature of the sign: the male and female aspect as well as the reality and dreams. The unconscious and the hidden aspects of life are what concern the Pisces. They are often quite intuitive, at times to the extent of being psychic. The needs of others are felt intensely by these individuals. They are caring and sympathetic and will often put the needs of others ahead of their own. The fact that they are so caught up in the nether world makes it difficult for them to grasp reality at times. When they cannot realize their dreams they can become very pessimistic. Art is a way to bring their dreams into reality and will help them cope with feelings of being isolated or misunderstood.

Hi, one Cancer here

Although I know all about my Sun sign, I enjoyed reading about it anyway I must say most of it is about right, except for the mother-connection part and collecting things (I used to do that when I was little, though), but I'm one bleedin' afflicted Cancer anyway
AND I just hate family tradition and tradition in general - but I think this is due to my Uranus squaring my Sun.

Moonshadow, that's a heck of a lot of typing there

Awesomeblossom

I'm fish, and it seems to be as good a sun sign sum-up as I've ever seen. Wonderful, wonderful.

One thing: And to think, I was almost a "secret agent" (kinda - I was training to be an intel language interceptor/analyst when I broke my pelvis; the NSA is the top employer of ex-what-I-was-goin-to-be-s).
Ah, the fickle winds of fate.
Now I'll just have to work on one of the others...

Hi everyone!

Just a quick note: Your sun sign is the center of your personality BUT there are so many other factors to consider. This is what the rest of the course is about. So if your sun doesn't make perfect sense there might be an aspect to it or a placement that will bring our some other elements. This is why I do not agree with the newspaper type of astrology, it is just too simplified.

Hi Moonshadow and All,

An astrologer friend of mine (who's quite into Liz Greene) says that sun signs are what our soul has chosen to become in a particular lifetime, and so we're learning to be who we really are along the way. Would you agree with that?

cheers,
Lunargirl

I couldn't find an introduction to the sun so i'm just sticking it here - apologies if it makes everything messy.

THE SUN

What is the sun?

Put simply, the sun is a huge ball of hydrogen gas burning at a surface temperature of between 11,000 28,000 and degrees C.

How huge? Put simply the sun makes up 99.86% of the entire solar systems' mass.

Burning at its core, heated to 14 million degrees Kelvin by thousands of miles of hydrogen crushing it, is a zone where the hydrogen fuses into heavier helium releasing energy that is carried up to the surface in massive convection currents.

I'm a cancer, and I can see most of my traits, I definatly have a problem with getting rid of things, except for the money thing, I don't hoard money, actually, I have a problem with spending way too much. Don't know where that comes from. Notice you didn't mention that in your summary though. Is that true for most Cancerians?
