I know that Saturn is transitting Cancer right now which squares Libra and I heard that this is a trying time for Sun Sign Libras because of the square. But doesn't it make a difference that Saturn is exalted in Libra so maybe the trying effect of the "square" is diminished a bit? Also could you tell me how long a planet takes to transit a house And what is the exact definition of "exalted" is because I might have the wrong idea. Thanks

Hi Silverbells Just a quick post, as I have some things I need to get done today.
Different planets take different amounts of times to transit a sign. Saturn takes approx two and a half years per sign. The amount of time a planet takes to transit a house (in a natal chart) will differ depending on the persons chart. If you use the equal house system then all house sizes will be the same but if you use other house systems eg: Placidus, Koch etc then the house sizes vary.
Yes Saturn is exalted in Libra - which basically means it likes being there However I personally haven't found it to be of any great help (I have natal Saturn in Libra) regarding Saturn transits. Sue
PS: Think of transits as the two (or more) planets involved as having a conversation. If transiting Saturn is in Cancer making a square to your natal Sun in Libra - then it's those two planets that are "talking". So the energy is between them.

Silverbells Don't worry you'll survive it. Trust me....I've just been through Saturn opp Pluto transits - both where opposing and squaring practically everything in my chart But I'm still alive and kicking
