How do you figure your midheaven and what is it? I know that if certain things are there, it means this or that but what exactly is the significance, Please.

Do you know where the mid heaven is in your chart? Which sign?

The midheaven is at the top of the chart so it's how we like to be seen publically as opposed to houses/planets below the horizon which are more private. ie: the IC (which is opposite to the MC) is how we are at home.
Think of the IC as your roots and the MC as the leaves that blossom on your tree of life.
For example: if your MC was in Gemini (ruled by Mercury) you'd like to be known/seen as a good communicator.

Thank You Cat. I do not know what MC and IC stand for, does MC stand for something about your midheaven? I was under the impression that the midheaven was an indicator of what occupation you would gravitate toward and how succesful you were to be at it. I don't know what my midheaven is and I also don't know how to determine where the top of my chart is.

My ascendant is Saggitarius so I have the notion that the top of my chart is related to that. I will now go to astro.com to see what my MC and IC are. So I will come back and say what I have come up with and perhaps you could help me from there. Thank YOu again.

I went to astro and saw that my MC was marked on Libra with a little 13 next to it and IC was Aries with a little 13 next to it.
Is there a lesson here on the midheaven? I would like to know what the different signs in the midheaven would mean.
