Hi Sweetie,
Wow, I'm crossed-eyed from looking at your chart Thats to be expected being born in Alaska. You have a lot of degrees in the 1st and 7th houses. Capricorn Sun(1) and Ascendant, I like it, focused. It hasn't been all that easy for you in the last couple of years, but thats going to change shortly when Saturn moves out of Cancer (which opposes your Capricorn placements).
Really interesting in your chart is your Venus, it makes only one aspect and thats a great little trine to Pluto.

Venus trine Pluto (Robert Pelletier)

Your Venus trine Pluto enables you to enjoy the highest creative experiences that love can bring. You derive spiritual benefits from personal contacts, and you stimulate others to emulate your attitude about love, which benefits them too.

You will control your ardent love nature until your intuition signals that you have found a suitable partner for creative expression of your passion. You may have love interests, which can be more romantic than real love, but when you meet the one special individual, you will respond with undeniable persuasiveness. The chances are good that the feeling will be mutual. There is a quality of fate in the chance encounter that defies all logic; this love will grow until you both feel as one.

You can be extremely effective in teaching others about moral and spiritual values and how to enrich their lives by adhering to the highest ethical standards. Young people especially will relate to you; you can teach them to stand on their own feet, secure in their values and commitments and in their eagerness to be loving in spite of adversity.

Any profession that you follow, you will be dedicated to. You are honest and would probably quite your job if you had to bend your ethics in performing it. Some fields that are especially suited to your capabilities include investment, insurance, financial management, and sales. Selling would be especially rewarding because your sincerity would encourage customers to buy your product. You could also function well as an analyst because you can focus on people's needs. You are understanding, sympathetic, and yet strong enough to persuade people to accept your suggestions for their own good.

You have a quality that is essential to success - you believe in yourself and in the potentials of others. Your basic integrity is solidly founded. You could make a substantial contribution to society through government service or political activity, probably in the financial management of someone in office or seeking it. You could also find satisfaction in working for the Internal Revenue Service or as a private citizen conducting your own tax service. It would be difficult for anyone to pull the wool over your eyes because you are keenly perceptive of dishonesty.

Whatever course you follow in your pricate and your professional life, you will be amply rewarrded for your efforts. The love principle you project to all has the peripheral effect of bringing abundance into your life. This aspect usually means you will inherit something, and it is almost a certainty that you will be named in someone's will because of your unselfish contribution.

you are a hoot! Hope ur eyes didnt stay that way for long! You know I have looked at my MIL chart, my b/f, and his step fathers and when looking back at mine I was like WTF. I noticed others have many placements while mine was mainly 1st and 7th, like you say.

It hasn't been all that easy for you in the last couple of years
That is so very, very true. I have had one rough and wild ride. I feel I've been getting back on track but then again I feel lost. I have always had an interest in the "newpaper" astrology as a child. And it wasnt until my b/f and I got back together in 2003 that I decided to dig into his mothers books (that used to be his g-grandmothers) and try to find my meaning and purpose. Cause I felt helplessly lost. Glad to know my life is a changing for the better! Make my light up inside to know that. Thanks!

I have had many love affairs. Out of the many I have have had three I would consider to be honest loves. The third I am with now and have been since 2000. Although we did split for a year (actually 364 days - lol) We both needed some growing and learning time of our own to realize that the spot we were in to begin with was were we wanted to be indefinatly. Funny how that happens. The realy neat thing to that whole story is he went and saw an Astrologer while we were apart and his astrologer told him that I'd be back because thats where i was meant to be. She said (by looking at out charts) that we had been together in a past life and that our relationship ended becasue he had commited suicide. The ironic thing there is thats the direction he was headed before him and I got together in this life time. Anyways, she assured him that this life there were no worries of suicide. And told him that this is why his parents choose to move here instead of the islands. Now she knew nothing of his parents wanting to move to islands. When in fact they were going to move to the West Indies. And at last minute chose to move to Alaska so his step father could be closer to his father. Coincidence, i think not! His g-grandmother was into astrology and a follower of Linda Goodmans work .... she passed away when he was young, the last book she knew of was star sgins, which was the first book of Linda's that I read - the first Astro book period. His mother saved all her grandmothers boooks and literature. Why? she hadnt a clue except for the fact that she felt it couldnt be thrown out. She's a believer but not a studier of Astro. It was when I expressed an interest in looking thru that stuff that she realized why all these years she had saved it. She tells me I am the chosen one and its there if I want it! I feel undeniably that he is my soulamte. In fact I forget who posted it but there is the thread in the Astrology forum called "Soulmate birthdays" his date of birth is Aprill 11th, my b-day falls under his and his falls under mine! again, coincidence??? nope!

ok im at work ... i will respond to the rest when I get a chance , but for now I must do payroll or I will have some angry men after me!

thanks so much lalalinda for doing this. You have such a kind heart to devote your time to everyone in such a loving way! till my next post! which will be later tonight when I get off work!

OK I've put off my response long enough ... ya know how it is ... you read something regarding yourself and dont quite know how to respond...its taken a few days to settle in and for me to uncover my thoughts ... so here goes ... Plus maybe it gave you a chance for your eyes to uncross ...."lala, did I say thanks for doing this!?!?!"

You can be extremely effective in teaching others about moral and spiritual values and how to enrich their lives by adhering to the highest ethical standards. Young people especially will relate to you; you can teach them to stand on their own feet, secure in their values and commitments and in their eagerness to be loving in spite of adversity.
I have been told by many people that I would be a great teacher. And now with beginning to understand and learn Astrology, I tend to share my thoughts and experiences with my closest friends. Even when I know they are not "into" it. BUt wiht my involments and bringing them up to date on my studies, they become involved - so teacher yes! And young kids are just drawn to me, my dad is constantly saying how I should do this and that with my niece and nephew, as he says (and other) that the kids "Worship the ground I walk on" as I do with them ... so I find that statement to accurate.

You know I have been told before that I would make a great sales person .... but i tend o be on the shy side with strangers ... although I am learning to open up more , and speak to that stranger standing in line behind me. My job right now it and Office Manager for a sheet metal company. Its my fathers company ... funny thing is when I was young and would get in trouble my punishment was to go to work with dad and clean, file, answer phones etc ... Now I am working for him full time, i've taken over the books and kept our place running. I do all financial matter related things. Taxes, payroll, accounts receivable, payable ...etc... I've worked here since I got outta high school. Although I have always had a love for animals and ventured ooff for a year in a half to get soe expertise in the vet field. But to no avial I had an allergic reaction to the anoimals...i think it was the quanitiy not the animals themselves. I was cleaning 100= cages a day every day, and working on the vet side as a vet technician.... and sooner of later it got to me. So low and behold I came back to where I knew I was welcome and could be loved. Which all ending up happening at a really good time, because my father had hired a "rent-a-employee" 9from one of those employment agencies) and come ti find out ...she was embezzeling funds from the company and was fired just prior to my leaving the animal field. So in my mind this was where I was to be all along! cause we know there are no coincidences, right!?!?

It would be difficult for anyone to pull the wool over your eyes because you are keenly perceptive of dishonesty.
More often than not I do have stong feelings regarding dishonesty from the get go, while others are still tend to think I am being pesimistic ... which my father tends to be ... I often thought I was a trait in inherited from my father since I was his child growing up - but glad to see its something acutally of my own...

Thanks again Lalainda for all your efforts!

looking over your chart and thought you might enjoy this

Sun conjunct the Ascendant

(Sue Tompkins)

Those with Sun conjunction Ascendant often find it impossible to be inconspicuous. In their immediate environment they tend to be always noticed, wherever they go, whatever they do.

Those with the Sun rising in their charts were born at dawn, at the beginning of a bright new day. Characteristically, Sun rising people like to be in at the beginning of projects and usually have very marked leadership potential. These people tend to be self-motivated and keen to pull the strings in their life, to be master of their destiny. This person is usually in no way a fatalist.

The birth moment is often marked out in some way. Perhaps there is an especial sense of occasion as if the arrival of the child has actually created the beginning of the new day. The emergence of the new arrival is properly recognised or honored. It might just be the dawn chorus. Just imagine all the birds starting to sign at the moment you are born.

There is often an early childhood history where the child felt constantly 'watched' and noticed. Aspects to the Sun will describe the reasons for this and whether it was a pleasant experience or not. Often the child was expected to shine, or sometimes to 'perform' to others. The parents, especially the father, were usually proud of the child. With luck this should make for a self-reliant and confident individual, but aspects to the sun need to be carefully studied for confirmation of this.

In any event, those with the Sun on the Ascendant or into the 1st house tend to watch themselves a good deal; they are 'self-conscious', seeming often to have an ability to step outside themselves and look at themselves, and watch other people looking at them.

The person with Ascendant and Sun in the same sign not only usually embodies very strongly the characteristics of that sign, but also often comes across with great presence, and with authenticity - there is no persona for the individual to hide behind; or one could say that the person identifies with his / her persona.

The father was often a strong influence in the child's life, and was frequently present at the birth, even when this was a less common occurrence than it is now. The person will tend to identify with the father, his outlook, attitudes, and sometimes how he is physically. This person can 'follow in Father's footsteps'.

Where the Sun is in the 12th house, and especially when it is scarcely in orb for conjuncting the Ascendant, the individual often feels overlooked as a child, not recognised as an individual in his or her own right, in the background or behind the scenes.

Wow thank Lala! very interesting. Its pretty much right on key too! Especially the connections with my father. i've always had them. Here's something interesting, when my sister was born anything that related to her (financial, report cards needing signed , or anything needing sigend) it was my mothers responsability. Now when I was born (nine years later) anything related to me my father delt with. Isnt it odd how according to my stars this was the way it was supposed to be and unconsiously knowing thats what my parents did was force that connection!?!? When I graduated high school I began working at my fathers company in the office. Today I run the office. I have left to persue other careers but I am always drawn back here. I quit my last job and at the same time my father had fired his Office Manager. His previous Office Manager stole funds from the company, therefor he had to have a full audit done on the company to figure out the total loss. At that time his accountant tolfd him that she was really really sloppy (prob trying to cover stuff up) and told him, the best set of books and record keeping she had seen in this office was when He and I ran the office together. it was at that time, he found out by talking with people I know (not asking - just info that was said to him) that I was not working. He called me up and asked me to come back and work for him. I accepted. its just little things like that, thats had always managed to bring us back to working together again. So being as I work for his company and know alot of the in's and out's I guess that sentence is correct
quote:
This person can 'follow in Father's footsteps'.

thanks Lala! I needed that!

hi sweetie,

Personally, I prefer comparison charts over composites because a composite will only tell you how the relationship works as a unit together, it doesn't necessarily tell you why someone thinks you're terrific or why you irritate them. To find that you need to compare. This is really advanced astrology and you need to have planet energies and sign traits down pat.

If your chart rulers make an aspect to each other,(a minor aspect is fine) I'd be willing to give it a go (as a learning exercise) if you'd like, I'll guide you but you'll be doing most of the work.

Can you post charts? if so start a new thread intitled Comparisons, at Astro.com they have a comparison wheel that will place their planets in your houses and vice versa. post both charts and we'll take it from there
