Goober,
This will be the thread that I will be responding to you on. Go ahead and reply on the thread you are doing but make sure you check back here

Wow no retro planets, I don't doubt that you are a spiritually high person who chose this lifetime to go without the lessons or roadblocks associated with RX Planets.
Right On!
You have a very fated chart with your Asc. 0 Aries
below is a piece on your Asc.

Aries Ascendant
(Julia and Derek Parker)

Arians want to win; and their energetic driving force almost unconsciously stimuates them into action. Powerful ambition and a remarkable flow of physical energy will be devoted to achieving whatever goal is in sight. Their urge to win will enable Arians to outstrip competitors, and runs parallel with a need to be noticed. This sometimes emerges within the context of the family and, especially if the child with Aries rising is a younger sibling among more successful brothers and sisters, ruthlessness may sometimes be a problem - though competition can be an excellent spur. If ruthlessness does emerge, the natural Arian sense of humor should be invoked, and that innate awareness of others which is a most happy characteristic.

Adapting to any social environment, whatever the social circumstances, is easy for those with Aries rising. If these people can be a little more low-key, they will be excellent at self-analysis; and the resulting self-knowledge will help them to channel their many positive, strong, extrovert qualities.

Their view of thsemselves may be rather slap-happy. While in a Sun sign Arian this attitude might lead to slight accidents, with Aries rising it may be expressed on a pscyhological level - perhaps causing an over-simplification of problems which, in youth, could make it harder to solve them swiftly and easily.

The emphasis on the head may lead to rather frequent headaches, perhaps caused by a slight kidney problem or imbalance as opposed to overwork, or eyestrain. With Aries rising, such pain is more likely to be the result of a physical condirion than circumstances provoked by the subject herself.

The reaction to partners is interesting: there will be great need for a permanent emotional relationship, no matter how many affairs or experiments take place - or, indeed, however, independent the spirit. An Arian Ascendant brings not only a need to relate, but also a strong desire to understand and be fair to the partner. These qualities will emerge at the deepest and most personal level; mere acquaintances or even quite close friends may never be aware of them.

An Arian Ascendant brings not only a need to relate, but also a strong desire to understand and be fair to the partner. These qualities will emerge at the deepest and most personal level; mere acquaintances or even quite close friends may never be aware of them.'
quite uncanny in it's accuracy!i think this is the reason why i married so early,i was only 18 but i don regret it..i love my libran man (though at times he acts more like a leo cuz of his leo moon and asc )

Hi Goober,

(Karen Hamaker-Zondag)

Intensity and tenacity are key concepts in the conjunction of Saturn and Pluto. This is an extremely powerful conjunction if linked with personal factors. The ability to shape things, to work hard and long, and to endure stress are enormously intensified by Pluto, and we are able to tap a great reservoir of strength and resilience. At the same time, a need for power and authority and a desire to leave no stone unturned (Pluto) assume a set form (Saturn). Striving for fame and success, tough behavior, and refusal to give way on any issue, are likely consequences.

Pluto also has to do with repressions, and its conjunction with Saturn makes us painfully aware of these unconscious impulses. We can resort to firm action to enable us to overcome problems and fears. Others may think of us as strong, but do not see the inner struggle - which nothing would induce us to reveal to them.

Profound inquiry (Saturn) plus penetration (Pluto) give a capacity for all kinds of research and for science in general. When working on anything that really interests us, we anticipate good results and are very energetic and ambitious; but nobody must get in the way, otherwise we strike back mercilessly.

Under the influence of Pluto, it can be hard to gauge how forcefully we express ourselves; and when the planet is in conjunction with vulnerable Saturn we can be more prickly and fierce than (seen in retrospect) we intended. We have the strategic ability to outwit rivals. Without realizing it, we choose to confront others and make a bid for power in the very place where we feel most at risk; natually enough, this stirs up a hornet's nest from time to time. Therefore the present conjunction is said to signifiy violence - although our behavior need not sink to that level. Violence is certainly possible, but only if the rest of the chart points in the same direction.

What is more, the conjunction of Pluto and Saturn is found in people who are determined to master important processes at all costs. These can be socio-political processes, processes that are personally meaningful to these natives, or even the processes of parapsychology or magic. Feelings of uncertainty created by unconscious compulsions might prompt us to take the reins of our life completely into our own hands.

lal,i'm really sorry, but you've made quite a mistake with my planets.i've got mars, saturn and pluto in scorpio, all in the 8th house.not libra, and of this i'm 101% sure i guess under the pressure of answering all our questions and teaching us astrology, you kinda slipped a bit
but you might be right about me having saturn n pluto conjunct, since i don't have my chart handy, i can't verify this
but thanks for taking the time to reply to my question anyway

Dear Goober,

You're absolutely right, my mistake I was doing 2 at once, if thats called multi-tasking then I suck
I'm going to leave the above mistakes in because the interpretations are good.!

Strong Mars/Saturn conjunction in the 8th and in Scorpio

Mars conjunct Saturn

(Robert Pelletier)

Mars conjunct Saturn shows that you are fortunate in being able to use your energy constructively. The normal desire to assert yourself on impulse is balanced by realization of the consequences of such an action. This quality of restraint can mean great accomplismnets for you because you don't waste energy on unproductive efforts. Your sense of economy and efficiency are characteristics of success; you know how to use your talents purposefully for specific objectives.. Youa re realistic in applying good judgement before taking any action.

Your early training enabled you to take on major responsibilities without difficulty. Knowing your limitations, you rarely go beyond them. You are prudent and yet fearless, cautious and yet aggressive, hard-working and yet able to accomplish a great deal with economy of effort. Although you are a complex person, you use the most simplistic approach in solving problems. You represent the ideal in terms of a balance between aggression and self-control.

You are never indifferent to the feelings of others, but can become angry when others try to interfere with you. Frustration brings out the most dangerous kind of energy in you. You are not accustomed to having your plans challenged, and can launch vicious attacks against your adversaries, even resorting to phyiscal violence. Other factors in your chart may indicate whether you would go do this extreme, but the potential for it exists in this planetary combination. Many professional pursuits are possible with this combination. Especially suitable are occupations requiring physical endurance and stamina, such as archaeology, exploration, geographic surveys, and forestry service. In the industrial field, research and development seem appropriate. Military service would be another menas of expression for your controlled energy.

In your romantic pursuits, you easily play the roles of both prey and predator. You carefully evaluate the partner's line of least resistance in order to decide which techniques you will use. The remark 'pursued until you caught the pursuer' is descriptive of your method.

It is very important not to become chilled when indulging in physical activities. Cool off gradually and avoid cold liquids to prevent cramps. Use as little salt as possible when not doing strenuous physical work.

hmmm..interesting,definitely interesting.. and i must say accurate, except for the fact that sometimes i push myself beyond the boundaries of my physical endurance, and at other times i'm so lazy, people find it hard to believe that it's the same person! but i think that's cuz of my mars n pluto conjunction, right?
two more things lal...firstly,do my scorp planets in the 8th make up a stellium?cuz the aspect between my saturn n pluto is a very loose conjunction, being off by around 2 degrees...also,my cappy venus in the 10th house is conjunct my cappy jupiter as well as my cappy neptune, both of whom are in the 9th house.my jupiter is also cunjunct my neptune.does this qualify as a stellium?
cuz you said that my scorp mars conjunct my scorp saturn and pluto, all in the 8th house is a stellium, but i read at atsrology.com that stelliums can stretch over two houses,
it can also stretch over two signs, but it would get really confusing for you if i bring up my sag moon and cappy planets issue,so i won't

hi goober,

I haven't forgotten about you sweetie heres Sun in the 11th house

(Stephanie Camilleri)

This location of the Sun gives a strong and unshakable sense of self from early childhood on. They seem to know who they are and what they want from the beginning. Generally attractive, they can be intensely charismatic, in some cases projecting an almost godlike quality of higher knowledge, inner strength, or supernatural wisdom. Many kings, queens, emperors, heroes, and actors who portray heroes have the Sun here, as well as many great innovators, those who set new styles or start new ways of thinking and doing things. They go their own way and devil take the nidmost. They attract others to them, and they enjoy the company and the good times, but they also think nothing of pulling up stakes and seting forth on their own, leaving old friends behind forever. They feel confident in their ability to form new relationships when they need them.

They are charming and can project great warmth toward others, but are not at all sentimental, and rarely create needs out of habit. Those who are close to them may come to be very angry at them for this cold streak. They are exceedingly class-conscious; and, though they may appear to be completely democratic in their treatment of others, in truth they will usually jettison one set of friends for another group higher on the social ladder, one that is closer to the glory land of big names, easy living, and classy surroundings.

They are capable of working along their own lines for years without compromising their integrity, believing that their way will win out in the end or not really giving a damn, more interested in doing it their own way than in any eventual success. However, if and when success does come, it usually comes as much from their being adept at social manipulation as from the quality of their efforts.

Hi Goober,

Since we're still discussing your stellium in Scorpio, I thought I'd give you some info on how Mars, Saturn and Pluto work in Scorpio.

Mars/Saturn (8th) Scorpio
Pluto conjunct (7) Scorpio

Mars Scorpio
(Frances Sakoian and Louis Acker)

Mars in the sign Scorpio indicates powerful emotions and desires. This tremendous emotional intensity gives the natives relentless courage and thoroughness in executing their intentions. It can lead to the greatest heights of spiritual achievement or to the lowest depths of moral degradation, depending on the amount of wisdom and type of motivation by which the energy is guided.

These people have resourcefulness, courage, and energy, especially in meeting difficult situations. Even the possibility of death does not frighten them, if they must face it in order to accomplish their goals. They are capable of an uncompromising fight to the end in defence of their principles. The two-hundred Spartan soldiers who held off the entire invading Persian army are an example of the Mars in Scorpio principle.

The powerful sex drive that goes with Mars in Scorpio, if wrongly motivated, can result in possessiveness and intense jealousy. People with this position tend toward an all-or-nothing attitude which makes compromising with them very difficult. Since it is hard for them to be neutral or indifferent, they make either friends or enemies of those with whom they have sustained dealings. They are secretive and do not reveal their plans or actions without good reason. They need to learn greter detachment and objectivity.

There is danger of coarseness and bluntness with this position, since at times these people do not take into consideration the feelings of those less forceful than themselves.

When Mars is afflicted in Scorpio, there can be intense anger and resentment; but unlike the anger of Mars in Aries, such feelings are not forgotten easily. People with this position can hold grudges, nursing their anger like steam in a pressure cooker until the effects of its outlet are disastrous. Consequently, they make the most dangerous kind of enemy. If Mars is heavily afflicted in Scorpio, there is the tendency to dominate others emotionally, forcing them into submissiveness and servitude.

Saturn Scorpio
(Skye Alexander)

You are intent upon understanding the forces that operate behind the scenes. Perhaps you are interested in the inner workings of Earth and the Universe. Your search might lead you to explore the depths of the human psyche, or to probe the hidden activities of businesses, organizations or governments to find out what goes on inside. Surface appearances mean little to you; you are searching for deeper meanings and core truths. One of your life lessons might be how you use this knowledge.

Knowledge is power; and power - over yourself, other people, your environment - is what you are really seeking. You may fear that you have little control over your own life; and this sense of helplessness might lead you to attempt to dominate people and situations. How you exercise your power, whether you use it to limit and manipulate others or to help them, probably will be a significant issue for you in this life. You may have opportunities to do great good or great harm; and the choice you make could be one of your 'tests'.

One of the secrets you might try to unmask is death. Death and life afterwards - the ultimate transformation - fascinate you. You may even believe that through understanding death you will have more control over it, or at least your response to it. All forms of destruction and rebirth are of interest to you; and you might even work in such areas as renovating buildings, reconstructive surgery, cancer research or weaponry.

Sex, another of life's great mysteries, is probably an important issue for you. However, you might find sex frightening or frustrating; your inclination is to tense up and try to control the experience, yet in order to enjoy sex you must relax and give in to your body's sensations. Perhaps you are quite sensitive about your sexuality and feel somewhat inadequate or undesirable. In the extreme, you might deny yourself sexual satisfaction; or, you could attempt to control or dominate your partners because the power sex has over you is threatening.

At your core lurk intense and turbulent emotions, but you may try to block them from your consciousness, afraid of being overburdened if you open up your 'Pandora's box'. If you refuse to make friends with your Minotaur, however, you might project your fears into the outer world and believe that people are 'out go get you' or that you can't trust anyone. At times, you have a dark view of life and expect the worst to happen.

Maybe you have experienced a traumatic loss of some kind that transformed your life. In fact, your life sometimes seems to be a series of difficult ups and downs, and you long for stability and permanence. As a result, you might attempt to create security in your life by holding on too tightly to everything and everyone - partners, your job, money or property - that you believe might provide some structure for you. Any 'loss', even changes, can seem almost life-threatening to you; and you run a risk of becoming rigid, stubborn and miserly, afraid even to give up things that are no longer useful to you. Conseqently, you might inhibit your own growth and creativity because you can't just relax and let things take their course. You need to learn to let go and not fear change, to let the old die so the new can be born. Most of all, you need to develop trust - in yourself and the powers that be.

Pluto Scorpio
(Skye Alexander)

Pluto entered its own sign, Scorpio, at the end of 1983 and stayed there until May 1984. The planet returned to this sign in September 1984, and remained there (except for a brief period between Januray and April 1995) until November 1995. Both Pluto and Scorpio have similar characteristics, so when the planet is positioned here its expression is intensified.

It is interesting, though not surprising, that George Orwell chose the title 1984 for his famous novel; that date corresponds to Pluto's enrey into Scorpio, and the book aptly depicts the dark Plutonic forces at work. Though Orwell's portrayal of this Pluto-in-Scorpio period is perhaps an extreme one, we nonetheless saw an increase in government domination and pervsievness at this time, and a public willingness to sacrifice freedom to 'Big Brother' out of fear. In the United States, mandatory drug testing was one example of Plutonic / Scorpionic prying. The expanded power of multi-national corporations and banks, and the effect this has on the world's financial situation, is another example of Plutonic / Scorpionic domination.

At the opposite end of the spectrum (for this planetary position indicates extremes) are the political and social reforms that took place in the U.S.S.R. and the People's Republic of China. Known for their controlling, restrictive governments, these two nations showed signs of opening up and interacting with the rest of the world.

Power issues of all kinds are connected with Pluto and Scorpio; therefore, those of you who have this planetary position in your birth charts may be obsessed with having power. You might attempt to control and manipulate other people - or the forces of nature. When your generation reaches adulthood, we may experience a time of government opposition, cruel and powerful dictators, or other conditions that strictly limit freedomes.

Nuclear power and nuclear weapons are also associated with Pluto and Scorpio, and this planetary combination forced this issue into public awareness. Power struggles between nations and the buildup of nuclear arsenals were highlighted diring this period, as we began to realize we must change our attitudes about war or face annihilation. The reactor incident at Chernobyll, U.S.S.R forced the world to reconsider the issue of nuclear power. During Pluto's transit of Scorpio, nuclear and toxic wastes could no longer be ignored either; and the problem of what to do with these wastes, as well as the threats to health and the environment, became more poignant and pressing.

These issues could be of major significane to those of you with this planetary position in your birthcharts. Perhaps your generation will establish peace in the world and do away with war and power struggles. Or, you may be the survivors of a nuclear holocaust and be responsible for reconstructing life on Earth. It is quite likely that your generation will face the problem of cleaning up the environment and getting rid of nuclear and toxic wastes. Or, you could suffer plagues, famine and pestilence as a result of damage done to the environment. On the brighter side, your Pluto-group might discover a problem-free source of power and energy for the planet, making nuclear power unnecessary.

Sex, and the taboos, fears and secretiveness surrounding it, are related to Scorpio and Pluto. Both the planet and the sign also are linked with death. Therefore, the connection between this planetary placement and the appearance of the venereal disease AIDS is obvious. In true Pluto-in-Scorpio fashion, fear of this mysterious and devastating disease has led to cruelty, suspicion, and attempts to isolate AIDS victims and deprive them of their rights, especially the right to privacy. Pluto always drags skeletons out of the closet and makes us take a good, hard look at our secret fears. AIDS has forced us to deal with the issue of sex and the taboos surrounding it - particularly homosexuality. Attention has been focused on other Plutonic problems during this period, too, such as the sexual abuse of children, the connection between such abuse and violent criminal behavior in adulthood, sex and violence in movies and television, rape, sex education and pornography.

For those of you born during this time, sexuality will be extremely important. Perhaps you will harbor intense fears about your sexuality or see sexuality as an instrument of power. Or, your generation could be responsible for transforming negative attitudes toward sexual expression. You might find a link between sexual repression and illness and seek to approach certain diseases like cancer on this basis. By the time you reach adulthood it may be essential to limit population growth, and your sexual and reproductive freedom might be curtailed sharply. More frightening is the opposite possibility: that a devastating war could make it necessary for your Pluto-group to re-populate the Earth. Or, your generation could be plagued by sterility or birth defects as a result of nuclear and / or toxic pollution.

One of Pluto and Scorpio's principal themes is death and rebirth; and public awareness was attuned to this during the Pluto-in-Scorpio period. Reincarnation became more widely accepted in the West than ever before, and past-life regression and channeling were popular. Concerns about the right to die led many states in the U.S. to pass laws that allow individuals to make decisions about medical intervention in life-or-death situations before the fact.

Those of you who have this planetary placement in your birth charts are practically obsessed with the issue of death and the possibility of life after death. Your generation will be intruiged with the concept of reincarnation and, as you reach adulthood, we may see a period of intense interest in all matters pertaining to death and the hereafter. Your Pluto-group might make startling discoveries about life after death and other worlds beyond this one, or even witness the 'Second Coming'. Your generation also could be responsible for discovering new 'miracle' cures that will extend the human life span significantly. It is also possible that you will experience cataclysmic events during your lifetime that destroy much of the Earth's life, such as the one that killed the dinosaurs, or the Biblical flood, or the sinking of Atlantis. Perhaps you could be responsible for a nuclear acceident or war that brings us to the brink of destruction. It is difficult to predict how this energy will manifest, but undoubtedly death will be an important issue for your generation.

first of all...hello lal!!!!!!!!!!!!! and thanks for helping me ace my reasearch paper on astrology!!!! you're the greatest!
now lal, i have to tell you...the pluto-in-scorpio piece is truly frightening!!!
however,i have to admit that it rings a bell...somewhere in my subconscious perhaps, the part about obsession with death and rebirth.. and the growing of awareness about reincarnation.also the perdiction of cataclysms, horrying that they are do seem quite possible.however, i believe they can be avoided if we learn to change our thought pattern (as linda repeated over n over again) in time.
as for my mars placement...bullseye!!!
my saturn is probably my most difficult placement by sign, house as well as aspects.. but then again thatz what saturn is for..to help us learn our karmic lessons...address our hidden fears (and let me tell you,i keep them really well hidden!) and overcome our weaknesses.
you talked about mediumistic abilities in another thread...as we're talking abt my 8th house and it's influences, would i fall into the category of having them n not knowing? just wondering...
thanks again..
love n peace..
