Okay, I'm reading and reading forum after forum, topic after topic; maybe I'm just trying too hard.
Can someone tell me which aspect of the chart indicates how you recognise when someone is in love or is attracted to another person - is it the sun, moon or venus, or something else?
How do the signs show they have an attraction for a member of the opposite sex, what are the signals, loud or quiet?
I have Sun & Venus Libra & Cancer Moon - I am very demonstrative, buying little gifts, making my presence known, showing I really listen to the smallest details etc. Which of my aspects/planets is the indicator of my behaviour in love?

hi Cat,
how you react (attraction) or inner act depends on how your Venus aspects anothers chart.

Venus is your social antenne, its a benefic and its actions are positive.

Attraction is based on many factors but the most obvious being positive venus inneraspects or their personal planets falling in your 1st or 7th house. the closer to the Asc. or Desc. the better.

Thank you LL, appreciate your guidance so tell me if I'm on the right track -
e.g. if my 7th house is in Sagittarius and his venus is in Sag or trine Sag, this is a positive sign?

hi Cat,
Is he a Sag or does he just have Venus there? Either way its positive. You have Sags planet Jupiter in the 7th house conjunct Neptune.

(Charles Carter)

Among natives with this aspect are to be found a wide variety of effects, some of a purely external character and some showing its psychological side. Among the former we have several cases where there has been a seafaring strain in the family, the case of the daughter of the murderer of Whiteley, born whilst her father was awaiting trial, the case of a child born in a penitentiary, and children of preachers, sailors, and others with Neptunian-Jovian characteristics. The conjunction of two planets both possessing, through the sign Pisces, much in common, saturates the birth chart, so to speak, with its influence, which will show forth in many directions, though often in a somewhat subtle and not very obvious manner. It tends to religion and idealism, though often not of a conventional kind; it is extremely humane, and is fond of animals.

The sensitivity of the contact may cause a certain degree of 'astralism'. In one case (in Cancer, with Pisces asc.), the native 'saw fairies' from early childhood in circumstances which almost precluded the possibility of suggestion. James Coates, mesmerist, had the conjunction in Aquarius; and Algernon Blackwood, the writer of occult fiction, had it in Aries. It is musical and artistic.

Okay firstly Jupiter conjunct Neptune, maybe I’m reaching here, but my parents met in Australia after both having emigrated by sea, and then I was born in Auckland ‘city of sails’(boating) after they emigrated to New Zealand – by sea! And there are connections with my grandfather who worked exporting and importing in UK in the 50’s, by sea.
LOVE animals!
Write poetry (have even had some published, not in mass circulation though) and have had many incidences of clairaudience, though I’m working on this aspect as it’s not very clear, kind of like a radio that’s not tuned in properly, but I hear my name shouted at me from time to time.

As for ‘him’, venus in Sag was an example, sorry if that wasn’t clear. I know his birth date and place but not time – Aylesbury, England – 8th November 1965.
I totally love this guy to the point of obsession – can’t stop thinking about him night and day – got it bad,
he makes all the right noises but making no moves. Just looking for signs I’m not going crazy I guess
BTW - thanks for your wisdom

Hello Cat,

I probably did this wrong but I wanted to keep your post together, but wanted your name on your thread for easy access.

we're doing Mercury right now and you have a Mercury/Uranus conjunction
(Karen Hamaker-Zondag)

The swift perceptions of Uranus plus Mercury's powers of expression with tongue and pen can cmbine to produce the most original ideas and concepts, although they will probably need knocking into a more viable shape. Mental ingenuity is fantastic, but the native is extremely restless and fickle. Uranus being capricious, impulsive and unpredictable may mean that thinking is nervy and tense, so that one jumps from one idea to another - and from one social contact to another, too.

This person is fond of novelty, and homes in on whatever is fresh and unusual. Others can find his or her flow of ideas stimulating, but if they do not keep up with it this individual becomes very impatient.

The disjointedness of Uranus shows itself in conversation. This type is liable to omit significant points; also, he or she may have a sharp tongue, and be apt to make clever and sometimes hurtful remarks. Often, he or she says the most unexpected things; the trouble is, as soon as they occur, he or she blurts them out without regard to the consequences.

Uranus and Mercury both have to do with the nervous system, and their conjunction places a heavy strain on it because there is an inability to relax. The brain is continually active. This can give creative ideas, but can also be exhausting and cause irritability and snappishness.

Some form of technical interest is quite common with this aspect, especially where new ground is being broken or the barriers of distance are being overcome (for instance, in air travel, radar and electronics). Although this type is quick to grasp the essentials of a subject, the mind is often too restless for prolonged concentration. Therefore, he or she may be short of academic qualifications - but definitely not lacking in intelligence.

'Others can find his or her flow of ideas stimulating, but if they do not keep up with it this individual becomes very impatient.' - I'm embarrassed to admit it, but lord yes, I get so cross with people who don't understand my theories.
'she says the most unexpected things; the trouble is, as soon as they occur, he or she blurts them out without regard to the consequences.' - oh dear, yes again, though I've got much better with age!

'there is an inability to relax' & 'brain is continually active.' OMG, that is so true! It drives me mad!
'she may be short of academic qualifications' - I have got a degree and just about to start another one, but if you could see the vast array of subjects I've gone through before deciding what I'm gonna do, your mind would boggle
Thanks for your insight & precious time LL

LL - know you're busy, but can you tell from my chart if I'm to be without a partner for much longer? I was once told I'd be in my forties before I become involved in a long-term partnership & though I'm living my life in the present and have alot going on, I still miss those warm moments to share with a significant other - any indicators I can watch for? Thanx in advance
