This IS cool info I don't know about that Pluto rising, though...? My daughter has Pluto exactly conjunct her Sag Asc, I just can't see her as "... dark and swarthy..." Her pic is in the photo shop, in ' Librani1' album.... and, I know, she is still young but, still don't see it anyway... Maybe I missed something about how 'rising' is determined, though. My husband does'nt necessarily fit the Neptune rising either.... has to be me. I'll be going back over to revise my mental notes

so but i dont get it. what if your asc is a loner asc. meaning there are no planets in cojunction to your asc. then there is no rising planet.

which means your oh i dont remeber i read this somewhere about if your asc is alone not conjuncting something it means that your asc is a loner and that your appearnce is to look more like the sign its in alot more.

I think oppositions to the ascendant work too because the Saturn and Uranus descriptions fit me, but they oppose my ASC.

I have Chiron conjunct my ASC, I wonder what that's like.

I have mars rising, the description works for me pretty well for the most part. I have high cheekbones, thick eyebrows, piercing eyes, a mole on my face. I don't really have the forcefulness that the description imply's. Makes sense considering the conjunction is in Pisces

My youngest girl has a Stellium Conj her ascendant. She is an Aquarius Rising with Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune sitting right there.

I have noticed and so many others have noticed a sleepy look to her, as if my daughter's eyes are not fully open.....a dreamy sleepy look.

Is it possible to have Chiron Rising? That's the only stellar body that is anywhere near my ascendant.

Neptune is the closest to my Ascendant but by 13 degrees, not 10. Some of it does applu though, but I most certainly do not have a small nose. LOL

I have Mercury and Venus on the ASC. But I think Mercury rising is more correct for me even though it's further away from my Asc than Venus...probably because Mercury is my Asc ruler.

Yes it's said to be a more pure reflection of that Asc.
But it would be difficult to have this in reality since planets in strong aspect to the Asc will color its presentation.
A close runner-up to a planet in the 1st or conj the Asc is a TRINE from a planet in the 5TH house, next up would be a trine from a body in the 9TH.
Oppositions pit you against another and tell more of your presentation to those you would be in partnership with rather than having it be a quality that is stamped on your forehead so-to-speak. The physique of the planet opp your Asc may in fact color your frame, but its energy is not of the Asc variety. However, people you regularly interact with may see you as being the sign opp your Asc if you have a planet hovering the Dsc, esp if a personal planet.
It's actually somewhat common anyway for others who know us personally to think we are the sign opp our Asc, since this is how we meet others, through expressing that sign's energy.

Neptune is in my 1st house (scorpio)at 21 degrees in the first house. There are no planets in my 12th house (libra). But my south node is in the 2nd house at 3 degrees (sagitarius)

OK, as I've mentioned more than a couple of times, I'm still learning... so sorry if I've misunderstood something!

My ASC is at 28'29 Virgo, and my retrograde Pluto conjunct ASC at 0'51 Libra, which I think is supposed to affect my ASC.
1) I have what a friend and classmate called "The strong eye" which came out in debate and which he said he avoided. I guess that could be called "penetrating."
2) I'm pale, not swarthy, and I got ripped off in the eyebrow department
3) What I lack in eyebrows, I made up for in hair on the rest of my body. I'm not hirsute, but I dream of not having to shave my legs everyday. And the hair on my head, sadly, has the texture of steel wool.
4) I *am* naturally a lot stronger than many women of my age and size

So I can say that I'm not entirely Plutonian... maybe because Pluto is in the 1st house rather than 12th? I have no planets at all in the 12th, and the closest planet to either ASC or Pluto is retrograde Uranus at 17'10 Libra.
