Hi,How do you tell which of the features of a house are most influential? For example, if house 4 was Aquarius and had Mars and Venus in it, would the following be true: House 4 area of your life would take on characteristics of Aquarius, Venus, Mars, Uranus (as the ruler of Aqua) and Cancer (because it is the 4th sign)? Would Cancer's ruling planet have any effect too? So even with 0 planets in a house, that house's area of your life would still be influenced in 3 ways, possibly 4? (sign it is in, ruler of that sign and the sign that is that place in the zodiac + its ruler?) Thanks in advance, Rachel ------------------ "Vision without Action is a daydream... It would be Aqua, Mars, Venus, Uranus sign and house, and then Cancer if you need inspiration for h4 matters. Also the matters of the houses that Mars and Venus rule. Venus will rule usually 2 houses, Mars 1, and Uranus will be placed somewhere. Very important is what houses Mars and Venus rule since they will take on importance here.House placements of Mercury and Venus (with each ruling 2 signs) take emphasis because you will likely have the interest of 2 separate houses being placed in a single house. If a house has Venus or Mercury -and- another placement, then it is definitely emphasized in the chart because it is likely the house of at least 3 rulers. "So even with 0 planets in a house, that house's area of your life would still be influenced in 3 ways, possibly 4? (sign it is in, ruler of that sign and the sign that is that place in the zodiac + its ruler?)" -sign on cusp as primary ruler -if there is an intercepted sign (completely contained within a house, for example 15 virgo on the cusp, 0-29 libra in that house, and the cusp of the next house is 2 scorpio) then that sign's ruler would be the secondary ruler -sign that ruler is in -house where ruler is placed -aspects that ruler makes -and does that ruler rule any other houses, then you'll combine the interp. Or you could experiment with the Equal house system and see if that makes sense for you, it would be easier in terms of reading house rulers, but you'd have to read the placements against another house system (at least against Placidus or Koch) to see what fits. And then that'd be the one you stick with for natals/synastry/transits, etc. IP: Logged |
