Missing Signs
(where you are lacking) http://www.librarising.com/astrology/FWA/missingsigns.html

Everybody has all the planets, but not everybody has all the signs. Missing signs show what you LACK. Ideally, we should have one planet in every sign, and in the RIGHT sign as well. Unfortunatelty, this is not possible in our present solar system set-up. You would have to live on the Sun for the best chances of this happenning. What you can hope for is the widest spread possible and for a majority of your planets to be well placed by element or gender.

Contrary to popular opinion, having more than one planet in a sign is NOT a good thing. It is an EXCESS. So all of you double or triple Aries or Leos or Virgos. etc. -you are more pains than you are blessings. Yes, two, three, or more planets in one sign does make you "specialized", but is specialization such a good thing? What this world needs more of is generalists and not specialists. Specialists bore you with with their details and excesses. Generalists on the other hand will keep you interested because they can see all sides and put all the pieces together. They are perfectly balanced in all areas of life. Sure, they may flit from one thing to another, but that's how we were meant to be. Life is a kaleidascope of activities, and to be stuck in a few areas all the time is unhealthy and unproductive.

Everybody has a Sun(ego, central self), but not everybody has planets in Leo. People with no Leo energy running through them are not very creative, warm, or fun to be with. They lack pride and dignity and a sense of centeredness. This is especially so if the Sun is in earth or water.

Everybody has a Moon(emotions, roots), but not everybody has planets in Cancer. People with no Cancer energy running through them do not really know what home and family life and deep emotions are really all about. This is especially so if the Moon is in Fire or air.

Everybody has a Mercury(ability to learn/reason/communicate) but not everybody has planets in Gemini. People without the Gemini energy running through them are often incapable of understanding how others thrive on knowledge, diversty, and constant change. This is especially so if Mercury is in earth or water.

Everybody has a Venus(the capacity to produce and enjoy), but not everyone has planets in Taurus. People without the Taurus energy running through them, lack the shrewdness and possessiveness to really profit from this life, especially in the financial or material sense. This is especially so if Venus is in fire or air.

Everybody has a Mars(drive and energy system), but not everyone has planets in Aries. People without the Arian energy running through them do not really know what it's like to be truly alive and in the NOW and are most likely lacking in energy, confidence, and initiative. This is especially so if Mars is in water or earth.

Everybody has a Jupiter(ability to grow and believe), but not everyone has planets in Sagittarius. People without the Sagittarian energy running through them lack enthusiasm, optimism, scope, and spiritual interest. This is especially so if Jupiter is in water or earth.

Everybody has a Saturn(sense of limitation/preservation/survival), but not everyone has planets in Capricorn. People without the Capricorn energy running through them have little self discipline, control, or organizational ability, and lack seriousness. This is especially so if Saturn is in fire or air.

Everybody has a Uranus(the need to be free and different), but not everyone has planets in Aquarius. People without the Aquarian energy running through them lead fairly conventional lives and do not really feel the need to buck the tide or change the status quo. This is especially so if Uranus is in earth or water.

Everybody has a Neptune(our need to rest, withdraw, or escape), but not everyone has planets in Pisces. People without the Pisces energy running through them do not really know how to be weak or passive and just let things be. This is especially so if Neptune is in fire or air.

Everybody has a Pluto(desire or need to bury the past and start anew), but not everyone has planets in Scorpio. People without the Scorpion energy running through them lack true depth and intensity and will not really want to search out those dark and forbidden mysteries of life and death. This is especially so if Pluto is in air or fire.

Everybody has the Earth/Ascendant(our need to harmonize/relate/give-receive pleasure), but not everyone has planets in Libra. People without the Libran energy running through them are not much into socializing, compromising, or sharing. This is especially so if the Ascendant or Rising sign is in earth or water.

Everybody also has a twelfth planet(our need to contribute to society), but not everyone has planets in Virgo. People without the Virgoan energy running through them can lead really messy, unethical, and unproductive lives. This is especially so if this planet is in fire or air.

What are you lacking and how does this apply to you?

linda,

Your quote read:

quote:

So all of you double or triple Aries or Leos or Virgos. etc. -you are more pains than you are blessings. Yes, two, three, or more planets in one sign does make you "specialized", but is specialization such a good thing?

I STRONGLY disagree. I have 5 planets in the same sign and I have been able to specialize and generalize as needed. In fact, I am more of a generalist than a specialist (I prefer other people to handle all the "details"). I think this was written by an insecure person with a Scatter chart (chart energy is scattered around the chart, indicates multiple focuses). This is the type of "good/bad" astrology that I find unuseful and contributed much to my dislike of any "prediction" in astrology.

Ranting,

Tim

Thanks for the info lala. What about people with missing elements? My Taurus ex has not a drop of water. And another has no fire. The Taurus does have planets in water houses though. So I guess that counts for something.

Any good info on that? Thanks. xx

Sorry if this post offends you. Point taken.

With all those cool Virgo planets You are the exception to the rule. I like your energy it makes me think.

As far as this post goes I'd like to take credit for writing it but I didn't so I posted the website where I found it. This information is very general with the basic concept of too much of anything is not good.(except Virgo )

As you know it would be inaccurate to acess a natal chart just by planet and house placements. we need to see the whole picture. At least I do otherwise its just generalizations

After viewing this website I did take a new perspective on the actual Asc. instead of so much focus on the ruling planet.

T

I'm so glad you are back here.
Yes the houses count for missing elements. I only have Neptune in water but planets in houses 4, 8 and 12 and it does balance me.
Also a conjunction with a personal planet like Sun/Neptune in Libra, even though its not in a water sign it would give you a water quality.
You know all of this

Linda,

I normally love your posts from the websites, I just happened to notice that the two most recent seemed to be the "here's why you are messed up" type of astrological interpretations. Having struggled through MANY of these negative astrology articles/books while learning astrology, I guess it brought back some bad memories. Keep up the good work...people need to see all perspectives on astrology and make up their own minds!

Independently,

Tim

Lalalinda,

This article is great! I haven't been too interested in astrology lately because I haven't read too much that really rang-true with me, but many of these observations were spot-on!

Maybe if I feel like talking about "me" I will go into more detail regarding this article later.

Thanks lala!

Beebuddy, my patience is running thin.
j/k
Actually I can be quite impatient at times. Mars square Uranus, perhaps? .....

I look forward to seeing them.
Great to see you around!

I have no planets in Cancer. It's not even on a cusp in my chart (intercepted house i suppose?) However, I have one water house placement and that's my 4th house Mars.

I also have no planets in Gemini or Virgo. However, I have a 3rd house placement that's a singleton in my chart as well. So idk if that means anything, however, I have absolutely NO Virgo in my chart what so ever.

What IVE noticed, is that with Virgo especially it's lack in my chart is severely over compensated.

One of my biggest personal challenges has been self-organzation, criticism, and perfectionism. I have no Virgo energy really running through me at all (except NN in 6th house) and yet, I've noticed that especially as I've gotten older, I've learned to deal with minor things like to be literal (my Neptune in 3rd house) my tendency to be very scatterbrained. I take in so many things and try and do so many things at once that I confuse myself because there is no structure. This happens in like every area of my life, but like I said, as I've gotten older, my way of handling it has been becoming more organized, neat, and methodical in my approach to things. I've realized that i actually feel more at ease and spiritually balanced when everything in my life is label, structured, organized and where it's supposed to be.

idk, I feel like the lack doesnt really show up as a LACK of organization, but more of an overcompensation. I neeeeeed to have order in "order" to be at ease. and so because its not really my natural way to do so, i go insane trying to make it my way.

alanabelle,

You said:

quote:
...I feel like the lack doesnt really show up as a LACK of organization, but more of an overcompensation...

This is the more common astrological interpretation of having few or no energies in a sign...we need to do something to BRING IN those energies into our life in order to become a "whole" person.

Energizing,

Tim

Let's see....I am Piscesless! But I'm kind of happy about that.
No offence Fishies.
Neptune is transiting my first and that makes me flaky enough atm.

"People without the Pisces energy running through them do not really know how to be weak or passive and just let things be. This is especially so if Neptune is in fire or air."(Mine's in Sag.)
I'd say that is pretty much true. My Taurus Sun allows me to be passive though. If I want to be.

....No planets in Cappy, but it's my ASC. So it's strong and well.

Nothing in Aquarius.....but it's intercepted in the first house and Uranus is conjunct my MC.....so I feel that influence strongly too.

Seems all of the other signs have a planet/node or two in them.

Hi lalalinda,

I once heard Rob Hand say that when one is missing planetary placement in an element (air, fire, earth or water) then either they mastered that element or they latch on to people who have many planets in that element to fill the gap. I find latching on theory to be true.

As far as signs, everyone has each sign somewhere in their chart. Even if there are no planets in that sign, it will still mean something. If you have Cancer on the 10th house, without planetary placement, the qualities of the sign Cancer will STILL describe how you relate to the 10th house and what that represents in your chart. To refine this further, look to see where your Moon is placed and the aspects to it and you can get an even better picture of your special way of manifesting the qualities of the 10th house.

I have no signs in Earth. I guess that explains why I lack direction/have problems in the area of career/profession, financial difficulties, and just having fun (?) This is a question, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I also read on one of the other threads that not having any signs in Earth can contribute to going for long periods without a significant other. Lucky me! LOL

Hi victoriasgirl1,

You have Earth signs in your chart. They are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. I think you may mean you have no planets in Earth signs?

Join the club. I don't either and neither did Marilyn Monroe

I’m lacking a whole lot of stuff

quote:

Everybody has a Saturn(sense of limitation/preservation/survival), but not everyone has planets in Capricorn. People without the Capricorn energy running through them have little self discipline, control, or organizational ability, and lack seriousness. This is especially so if Saturn is in fire or air.

It’s all true *sigh* except for the Sun, I can be very Leo like, prolly due to my Sun in the 1st

I have 2 planets in Virgo, 3 in Scorpio, 2 in Capricorn, 1 in Pisces, and 2 in Sag (and then my ascendant in Sag, too).... but I think house placements should be taken into consideration, and aspects in the natal chart, also. Even though I have no planets in Aquarius, I have a lot of uranus aspects, Uranus in the 1st house, and my moon & venus both in the 11th house.
