Neptune indicates the manner in which your imagination and aesthetic and intuitive faculties work. Neptune rules the picture making falculties of the mind.

Neptune, as ruler of Pisces and the Natural Twelth House, deals with the storehouse of memory in which your entire past history as a spiritual being is recorded is recorded in detail. Most people do not have conscious access to the information, but this does not mean that it does not exist on a deeper level of awareness. Those memories which you are to recall consciously are like the tip of an iceberg visible above the surface of the water-the rest of the iceberg belongs to those levels of the mind which are generally called unconscious. However, the word unconscious is really a misnomer, since these deeper levels of recorded experience are always present, even when asleep or literally unconscious. The fact that a p[erson can not recall all of these past memories and experiences does not mean that his outlook on life and behavior are not influenced by them. These memories predispose many of your likes, dislikes, abilities, and personal limitations. Painful or unpleasant past experiences are the most likely to be supressed from conscious recall, and their affect, from a subliminal level of awareness can stand in the way of your abilities. In extreme cases, neuroses and psychoses.

In Astrology, Neptune gives us a major key to understanding irrational and inexplicable behavior. The sign position of Neptune and adverse aspects made to it show the manner in which such mental distortations are expressed. The house position of Neptune and the houses where Sag, Pisces and Cancer are found show the affairs of life most directly affected by such difficulties. Many of these subconscious distortions are related to previous reincarnations, not just to early childhood experiences.

Neptune confers creative talent in musical and artistic fields of expression. It is also helpful to designers, architects, and others whos profession requires a good imagination.

Neptune gives intuitive and telepathic ability. Psychics and clairvoyants lamost always have a strong Neptune in their horoscopes. (A strong Neptune is one which is in an angular house or in its own sign or sign of exaltation, or has many aspects) A strong Neptune enables a person to draw upon past experience to find solutions to present problems. The sign position and aspects to neptune describe the manner in which you are able to express imaginative faculties and intuitive abilities.

The house position of neptune and the houses where Cancer, Sag, and Pisces are found show the practical affairs of life that are directly influenced by such imagination and intuition.

Neptune/Fire Is able to express intuitive and imaginative abilities dramatically and forsefully and, through these abiliities, may even become a culteral leader in some capacity. If neptune is afflicted, egotistical tendencies may lead to delusions of grandeur.

Neptune/Earth Able to apply intuitive and imaginative faculties to the solution of practical problems. However, If Neptune is afflicted there is danger of prostituting spiritual, intuitive abilities for financial gain.

Neptune/Air Able to express intuitive and imaginative abilities intellectually. Air sign placements are favorable for those engaged in professions related to creative writing. If Neptune is afflicted, however, undisciplined imagination and mental wanderings can lead to neglect of practical responsibilities.

Neptune/Water Has the ability to empathize with and intuitively sense other peoples moods and feelings. Neptune is at home in the water element and the intuitive abilities associated with this planet are intensified when found in a water sign. However, if neptune is afflicted, you can be emotionally drawn into the problems of others and be overly suseptible to negative psychic conditions and subliminal suggestions.

Cassie, you have soft sweet aspects to your Neptune that makes for creativity. Improving your surroundings and beautifing. Your Moon opposition though can be a problem. I have this also. can show escapisim through alcohol and/or drugs.

Many people in LL with Neptune in the 3rd. Not a bad placement for "our type" of people. and I mean that lovingly. Neptune and/or Pisces would give a certain affinity for astrology or the occult. A natural curiosity and easy understanding. Right on Alanabelle!

Neptune plays a big part in my chart (and life) as it's the focal planet of my double T-Squares.

Speaking about creativity, I guess I can say I'm pretty creative, but also kind of tortured (hahaha...) because I sometimes feel blocked. Kind of like Van Gogh really... well, at least I feel like I can understand him. Probably the Moon in Aries...

My Neptune is in the 7th.
It is opposite my Ascendant and in trine with my Sun.

My Neptune is in Sagittarius in the 4th house. I am a poet, writer, and amateur astrologer currently taking the AFA correspondence course. I resonated with Lalalinda's description of Neptune as increasing one's intuition and giving insights into solving everyday problems. I seem to have the "adviser" role to my friends, and they tell me that my "solution" to their "problem" is practical and achievable, in short, realistic.

Thank you, Lalalinda! I've long been wanting to really connect with Knowflakes but I lacked the time to really get into it. It's only now that I'm visiting the site again. I would like to gain friends among my co-Linda followers, and this thread about Neptune may be a good place to start, as it encourages intuition, creativity, and going beyond boundaries. I look forward to more on Neptune! If you would like to further analyze my Neptune placement, my birth data is: April 4, 1970: 2:20 PM; Manila, Philippines. Thank you once again!
