Wow that is pretty cool you are all Yin Me: Sun - Taurus = Yin Moon - Libra = Yang Mercury - Aries = Yang Venus - Taurus = Yin Mars - Scorpio = Yin Jupiter - Capricorn = Yin Saturn - Scorpio = Yin Uranus - Sagittarius = Yang Neptune - Capricorn = Yin Pluto - Scorpio = Yin Yang = 3 Yin = 7 I don't know what I am.. I suppose I am more of a follower than an initiator ... but will do things that I need to do. I am good at initiating things I LIKE doing but then sometimes find it hard to stick it out to the end! Katatonic,I have ASC in Scorpio, with NN in Aqua/SN in Leo. Do you think that's enough to make me Yang? IP: Logged |

so 3 of what i would call your BIG FOUR are yang, yes they probably take over a lot of the time..!i feel pretty balanced!! maybe because most of my yin is in less potent places, and pisces, well pisces to me is fairly asexual (or omni-sexual really). when i was young most people found me too yang (for a girl!). in fact TWICE i was severely disciplined in school for dealing with the school bully directly (and physically). if i have become more passive as i got older it is more about going with the flow and being less reactive, rather than actual passivity, at least that is how i see it. i have learned to speak to people in a way that is less confrontational and to use words instead of fists to settle grievances. many astrologers seem to think you grow into your sun gradually, but i think i have grown more into my moon as the years go by.... Meta,it must be interesting with those 2 (most) important planets, Sun and Moon, being Yang, and the rest being Yin. Like literally two hearts are beating within you. In a general context you are more aggressive, independent and all these things, while if relations get deeper, closer, all your Yin-planets come up, and you are much more vulnerable than your Sun and Moon would make oterhs assume. And to top this, everything is kinda hidden by a mysterious ASC in Scorpio. IP: Logged |

DD,...i feel like you're holding a microscope up to my soul and peeking in on things that are not meant to be peeked on... You know too much... Excellent interpretation by the way. You're too talented. IP: Logged |

Thank you, you two. Oh Meta, I hope I wasn´t too intrusive for your Scorpio ASC? I sometimes feel like even though people ask me to tell them something about their charts, they then don`t really like it. It`s like it is all fun for them and they do not really expect me to see anything personal in their charts, but sometimes it seems like I find some vulnerable spots.
Anyway, in this case, I drew some parallels to my chart. As you know I have very strong Sag and Aqua - dominance, and then there is this Venus in Cappy squaring Pluto. A clear misfit. A dissonant note in my personality.
I have interpreted it for myself, that in general context I am indeed quite idealistic, openminded, tolerant, interested in philosophy and knowledge (and probably more than a tad arrogant. lol). But once my Venus is triggered, once I fall in love, there is not much left of my openmindedness and confidence. All insecurities come up all at once, and even though generally I like the idea of freedom and independence, I can be terribly insecure and jealous. Well, jealousy for me rather leads into sadness and loneliness and bashing myself, then really triggering a thirst for revenge or fits of anger. It`s like I become a different person, much more withdrawn, careful, yet with deep passions boiling underneath. And my other planets, especially my lofty Aqua Moon, is observing this suspiciously and relaly wonders what is going on there witht ath strange Venus. It might also signify the difficulties I have with the feminine archetype or role. If someone tells me they like me, I can believe that. I defintely can believe that people like me for my intelligence, fantasy, tolerance or basicaly for what I am thinking and so on. But I would never believe someone if they told me I was beautiful or that I am indeed loveable or desireable. This gives an interesting, yet difficult conflict for me. And since I can see that in myself, I could transfer that method of interpretation easily onto your chart as well.

DD,You didn't offend me. It's difficult for me when I hear people voice things I know secretly about myself. I never admit that they're right, because that just adds to the violation. It's like a confrontation. IP: Logged |

I find it odd that you would think someone who wanted you sexually would be lying. Where does this stem from? Just general dissatisfaction with your appearance, or is it that you feel unworthy of affection and desire?IP: Logged |

Meta,I think both explanations are right. Another thing that might figure in is that I was always being praised for my intelligence and kindness to a degree that it felt like it was the only thing I was consisting of; I don`t think that was intentional though.

DD,Does that affect the way your pursue potential mates? Like, instead of batting your eyelashes you dazzle someone with your wits?.. IP: Logged |

Meta,I seriously doubt that I have the ability to dazzle anyone. But yes, you are right, I never really showed these typical "feminine" behaviour, batting eyelashes, playing the helpless one and so on.
Instead I really rely on my intellect or wit or communicative skills, just basically in contact with other people, not just potential mates. I think it comes natural for my Aqua-Moon, too. Just recently I noticed though how easy it is to get your will asserted, if you pretend to be needing just a little bit of male assistance. LOL In this regard I have been learning a lot of my friend, who has Mercury-Venus-Mars-Pluto conjunction in Libra and ASC in Cancer. (her Moon is in Aries opposing her LIbra-stellium though, so she is not really helpless at all. lol)

off topic - kind of - i just read an interesting book, called "redefining seduction" which is about women understanding the POWER they have in a male/female situation. while i found some of their premises a little on the generalizing side it was very illuminating on the whole.the story the book revolves around is how a lady artist (age 64 at the time) decided, fairly spontaneously as it happens, to seduce the man she was interested in...another artist, 44 at the time...it goes on from there.[FYI they are still together and much in love 16 years later] it basically affirms that in ALL of nature, including humans, the FEMALE decides who her mate will be. that the patriarchal set up has come to pass as a result of men trying to conquer that paradigm and keep women in a "lesser" position, to the point we have forgotten our nature. her mantra was "he is more afraid of me than i am of him" whenever her nerve got the better of her... anyway, as i say, a bit off-topic but interesting all the same. one needn't bat eyelashes to attract a mate...! Yes, I have heard about it, too, that actually the woman gives the starting signal.Yet I don`t think she can seduce EVERY man she wants. If she could, Jude Law would be my willing slave by now. IP: Logged |
