When generating a chart on astro, there are pages and pages of asteroids. What are some asteroids you would suggest worth finding placements for and looking at more in depth?

Hi There
Set the scale for 2 degrees or less and only look at conjunctions. That will cut it down a lot and give you themes which will reall define you, imo. xx

I'm not sure how to do that - is that in the extended chart selection?

You have to find an asteroid ephemersi. It is serennu.com. I may have it wrong. Check my thread in the Asteroid Forum--How to find Asteroids the easy way"

Don't worry @peachbeigeblue, such a thing like 'Nemesis' is not going to cause a ton of conflict for you.

Many astrologers don't really write much about such asteroids because their importance is highly debated.... many say asteroids like that aren't very important, just slightly and it isn't worth worry of!

I think the most important asteroids for you to study or look at in your chart could be these.

BASICS - I included my favorites but there are some others.

Chiron: the deepest wound... but also what we can teach others in the process of healing. E.g., Chiron in the 4th feels like an outsider or outcast from the family, the mother or father. But they can use that to become a better parent themselves, a loving and nurturing person, to give back to others what they never received.

Ceres: the maternal asteroid. It represents our mothers, and how we can mother. A trine to the ASC would show most likely that one is seen as maternal. Stress aspects indicate possible conflict with the mother, or the concept of nurturing and how to nurture.

Juno: the famed marriage asteroid. It represents long-term relationships and marriages. Look for Juno in the chart to see where you'll most likely find your partner. E.g., the 11th means through some social activity, group, or maybe through friendship or friends before love. Also look for any aspects to Juno to see what marriage holds in store for you.

SPECIAL ONES

1. Iris: she shows where we cannot lie. If we're honest with our dealings, we can succeed; but with lying, we suffer. Look to where Iris makes any aspects to see what helps you deal with telling the truth, or what inhibits you more. For example, I have my Iris in the 1st square Chiron and the Moon. If I'm not honest to others about my pain and my emotions, if I am emotionally cruel, I do usually feel a degree of suffering. I can go on and on about this, but this affects me very acutely. I find Iris to be very accurate, a good thing to check out.

Enter '07' on astro.com for this asteroid.

2. Urania: Are you curious if you can become a great astrologer? Plug in 37 for this one to see! Significant conjunctions to a personal planet and in a house like the 9th or 3rd can show your potential as an astrologer, but also according to the site, your potential to make something out of chaos, or a mass of facts.
