Hi,
This is my first post and I am kind of embarrassed asking a such beginner question. I recently got interested in astrology. The last year or so, things begin to turn on their head for me, so I went to search for answers. I would like to figure out when planet is transiting others on my chart and to which degree. I have obtained my chart from astro.

Thank you for your help

Welcome Beans

You can go to an site that does free charts like Astro.com and get a chart with transits.

This is a common chart we can get!

Astro.com
Free horoscopes
Extended chart selection
Circular charts --> Prognostic methods --> Natal chart and transits*
Click here to show the chart
View the additional tables (pdf)
Aspects: natal chart - transits (last table on pdf)

From there you can go to planetwatcher.com and move the days/wks/months forward/backward and compare to your natal chart once you get comfy with the whole thing.

Cool?

Thank you for your answers.
I have a chart from astro. What I am asking is how do I know a planet is transiting a planet on my chart. For example, there are certain things in my life that are turning upside down at the moment and I don't know if it is because a planet is transiting. For example, saturn is transiting right now, but I don't know where it hits my chart.

Hi there

You look at the outside wheel for the planets that are transitting. If one is near a planet in your natal chart within 2 degrees then it is affecting it. Transits are rather advanced astrology and to be tackled only by those who have a lot of knowledge. You can also note the degree that the planet is at and see if there is a planet in your chart that has the same degree. You take note of the houses that are being affected but if there is no natal aspect between those two planets as well, you wont really have any great change or effect.
I offer free basic lessons for beginners at
astrologyaustralia@hotmail.com
and there is no catch. It is all done by email. I have students all over the world.

You can post your chart there also and I can have a look at it. anonymise it, if you wish..
