I'm not sure what placements could explain this, and I can provide all that you want. But I just want to know what it is with my mother, lol! Before I move into my screed, here are our general placements: Myself: Leo Ascendant Sun in Capricorn Moon in Aries Mother: Aries Ascendant Sun in Libra Moon in Pisces My mother and I cannot seem to be in close proximity for too long without an argument erupting. Now, when we "Argue" I don't feel it's ever as serious as it is, but she usually blows it way out of proportion, accuses me of "loving to fight", and shuts down any debate that doesn't appear to be moving in her favor, which happens often I must admit. I not too sure of what she thinks of me, though as I mentioned in another topic, she thinks all Capricorns just love to argue, because all her Capricorn exes loved to fight. Or that's how she sees it. From my view, she speaks too much about things she doesn't know. She likes to appear intelligent, which she is for the most part, but a lot of times she says things that are incorrect and will say them - I believe- just to impress people with her knowledge. She's also quite judgemental, often times hypocritical, judging an individual who did something similar to herself. That disgusts me in a way, because it suggests a lack of self awareness. Or a delusion of sorts. I've heard some other people say that they find Libra women quite annoying as well. Whether it's because they're read as "fake", very loquacious, pretentious, or too indecisive. Gosh, I could go on for days about being overly talkative. She talks to herself, she talks during movies, I think she talks to fill the quiet, hahaha! And indecisive! I'm still shocked that she cut her hair even shorter! It took her 6 years!!! to move from a bob to a shorter hair cut. LMAO!! My sister is annoyed with her often too, but I think she has another placement that makes her resent my mother in a way. I forgot the placement. But it's more to do with gaining independence. Or was it lessons? But other than that, they get on OK. My sister is a Libra rising, Cancer Sun, Sagittarius Moon. So what could it be? Interpretations? LOL! IP: Logged |

I can't offer great insight into the synastry of this, and will be interested to see what others highlight. But, I will give some general observations... That Aries moon is going to give you some pretty strong horns, all the better to bash down those parental barriers. I do love an aries moon. Make sure the warrior side of your nature is seeing things clearly, though, not just with gleaming victory in mind. Just because you're well armored for domestic war, so to speak, doesn't mean a peace treaty isn't sometimes the best option. I say this having a venus in aries; I often treat people like walls which I find I throw myself at for the love of the battle. I really have to slow myself down and ask why. Its natural for us, but its not always healthy. Also, us dear fire moons (I'm a leo moon) are very aware of our own self importance (and important we are ), perhaps because of this we also have easily ignited (rather pathetic) tempers. We have to watch we don't turn up the heat just for the sake of it - it may be natural to us to breathe an inferno, but to others we can seem arrogant, pathetic and unbearable. From a leo moon to a leo asc - we have to keep a check on our HUGE pride and remember how big our hearts are. Your cap sun is also going to give you the cool, earthy perseverance and stubborn outlook to back all of this up. Beware. When you're good at standing your ground, you tend not to move forward a great deal. I'm guilty of this, as we all are. I've had some trouble with Libra's, but I don't jump on the 'earth and air' suns aren't compatible bus. You just need to use that goat-like calculating brain. I find the way to deal with Libra's is to appeal to their sense of fairness and reason with them on whatever has got your back up. With a piscean moon, doing this in a quiet place, in an emotionally honest way would work wonders with your Mum. If you aren't winning with your hand - you need to learn to play the cards differently P.S astrology to one side - everyone's mum irritates them to no end! It's their job, and there will be NO ONE in the world better at it than them!

I find Gem's and Aqua's a little like this, too. When air suns get in these moods they're like actors donning overtly obvious, academic garb! I say, let them have their five minutes of 'shining intellect'. It's harmless chatter - though to a Cappy who likes to really master their subject, probably irritating!

So wait, would the synastry would be just me giving each planets placement? Because I can do that. You wouldn't need houses would you? This was a great mini reading, though. I definitely resonate with the breaking down parental barriers thing. I'm not too keen on authority, and her telling me what to do irks me. But yes, astrology aside, parents can be annoying anyway, ahaha! IP: Logged |

Synastry is all to do with the apsects plants form with one another - trine, square, etc. I'm only just getting my head around it, really. You can get a generic one just searching 'free synastry compatibility report' or something along those lines. You'll need someone not as a new as me, and better read/experienced, to give you anything above the generic cookie cutter interpretations. I tend to avoid reading synastry descriptions that are generated free online - they're far too black and white. E.g Apparently the guy I'm seeing right now is awful for me in every way... hmmm. A little too simplistic! Might be useful to find out the aspects and ask for interpretations here. IP: Logged |

ahahaha! Yes, I'm usually quiet. I would never embarrass her or call her out in public. I just roll my eyes at the misinformation she's spreading. When we watch movies or television, that's when she likes to give facts the most, and they're not always wrong, but sometimes they are. And it's never welcomed! LOL! I like to watch movies silently, so I don't care about whatever "fact" she wants to share at the moment to appear intelligent, or knowledgeable. Just watch the movie! ahaha! But, do you need me to list all of our placements? For this "synastry"?

Yes, I'm perhaps newer to this than you. Okay, thanks for the information, though.

haha, so cappy! I love the goats dry, subtle ways. I always find them masters of the sarcastic eyebrow look, too. 'So, then the buddhist monk said that actually I was a higher spiritual being, he'd read that from the, blah, blah, blah *air-sign-cloud-floating-chatter-totally-silly happy-rainbows* Cappy response - eyebrow raise. Interesting. Me and your mom have almost the same placements except that my moon is in Capricorn. Same thing happened with a college classmate's mom, and she even shared my Chinese zodiac year and birthday. He noted, "It's not that weird, though. There are not enough days." Plus a lot of people are born daily, so it had to have happened somewhere. Anyway, my big sister is a Capricorn and I've noticed she and Libras don't really get along. She's far too serious. Libra people tend to be indecisive and superficial, from what I've seen. IP: Logged |

Well, internal conflict, defensiveness and the inability to have cohesive interpersonal relationships is a Venus/Moon/Mercury/Mars thing.Harsh aspects to the Moon can make a person defensive, moody, brooding and hyper- sensitive. Harsh aspects to Mercury can make one quarrelsome, narrow-minded, not able to listen, jump to conclusions and very inflexible. Harsh aspects to Venus draws people to challenges in relationships: Arguments, misunderstandings and hot tempers are things they feel accustomed to in a relationship; otherwise, the relationship is less suited for them because it lacks that “spunk”. Harsh aspect s to Mars can make one domineering, self-centred and wilful. They’ll assert their own pint of view; whatever opposition there is. You have your moon in Aries and judging by what you have written, you are not the type to mince your words. I don’t even know you personally and already, I can tell that you not indifferent to confrontations. Your mother has her Moon in Pisces in the 12th house (unless the Moon is very close to the ascendant in aspect, then that would make her a Moon in 1st). If she has Moon in 1st, she is sensitive and she is likely to behave defensively when confronted. But I reckon that there is another placement of hers that annoys you as when the Moon is in 12th, it is not the type to argue or be involved in a screaming match (barring Mars/Pluto/Uranus harsh aspects to it). I can already see that, based on sign alone, her Sun opposes your Moon. This, as I said, can make you defensive in association with her: As if her outward personality (Sun) is intruding on your own personal identification (Moon). But it can also, in more favourable circumstances, make the two people get on very well. The opposition tends to have an “all or nothing” pendulum effect. Her Ascendant conjunct your moon (by sign): Despite conventional belief, Aries Moon is actually very sensitive as they feel things almost as instinctively as they act. Unlike Cancer, who wants to first internalize it, Aries wants to immediately project the feeling out into visible action i.e. banging a door, screaming , pushing the person who “got in their face” etc. With this placement, it means that she brings out your feelings, for better or worse, way into the surface. Unfortunately, with Mars ruled Aries, the feelings are often times tumultuous at best. Hmmm , I think I’m gonna need more information though. Place all the placements.
