Hi everyone. It's lovely to find this forum.

I did a quick free online compatibility for a new relationship I've started. But I'm confused because it actually says completely conflicting information.

One part of the report says negative aspect we are too different even to be complimentary where as a bit further down it says positive aspect we are different but totally complimentary.... confused!

How would you interpret something like this? I'm really a very very beginner and don't know where in our charts to check to see how these things might manifest.

It feel like this could be quite an intense relationship and the report confirms this. So, as they say, forewarned is for armed (or something like that). I need to figure out "Should I stay or should I go"

Welcome Lucie

You are asking a very important question. The key to Astrology is balancing all the varying aspects( and there are always some) and coming to a general kind of road map.

Yes, AmiAnne. It is fundamental, right!

I just don't know enough to know where to look.

Generally, it seems the jealous thing is an issue. (Venus in Scorpio and all that). But I'm not a jealous person. So I think I can rule that out.

The big confusion though is how can it be two exact opposite things? How do I know which aspect is the more important one, the neg or the pos? Or is it possible to know.

I know I need to learn more! I'm trying.

Thanks for the welcome! This site is a treasure trove of information. Really.

Well, the whole thing about a chart is to try to make a 3 D person out of it. This takes time.

For a beginner, start with more of the basics like the signs, houses etc imo xx

Thanks Ami. Clearly, I know "me" and how i deal with things. Thus, I've done what you said and gone back to look at his chart to see where the conflict can be and how to deal with it.

Our compatibility chart said we have problems communicating, which is very true. So, I pointed it out to him. So we are at least are aware this is a problem for us and so we can deal with it.

So, I was forewarned! LOL. Who knows if this mixed up communication thing can be dealt with long term. Being aware of it is already a good step, I think.

Anyway, it's fun to see all the astrological coincidences.

Still at the basics and only on the natal charts. Progressions and the like are a bit mind blowing at this point. I keep learning and it's fun.

Put up the synastry here and I will look. Try to make it a big picture and have some pity on my poor eyes

Sorry Ami,
I didn't see your reply before otherwise I would have totally taken you up on your kind offer.

Since my post, I've been sort of ignoring the automatic interpretations and trying to go through the chart(s) myself. It seems a bit more clear and I learn more this way, too.

Well, I'm also living out this relationship. It's still very confusing in real life just like in the chart! I don't know if he's shy and can't communicate (some indication in his chart) or he's just not that into me. Of course, it could well be both. Not having his birth time is a hinderance.

Ah, ain't love grand.

Anyway, I'm enjoying my journey through this astrology thing. I'm learning alot about myself which is really more important at the end of the day.

Thanks for your reply and your kind offer.

Oh. I just re-read my last post and though I'm really not usually a jealous person or I haven't been, I'm finding myself fighting off jealous feelings! He might well bring it out in me or it could be in this relationship the jealousy is due to the fact that I have stronger feelings for him than he has for me.

Love astrology!

Saturn is a very big factor in the long term.

The Sun and Moon, as well.

I can't really do anything with the moon as he doesn't know what time he was born. right?

but no matter what time of the day he was born, two things stay the same:

- his taurus sun sits in my 7th house. my taurus saturn is in the 7th house (taurus)

- his aires saturn sits in my 5th house which is in pisces with nothing but chiron in it.

i'm sun sag, asc scorpio.

I usually do a Relationship Chart with his Planets in your Houses and set it at a Noontime setting (Solar Chart) and read it that way, so it is as correct as you can get it without an expert doing rectification.

His Planets in your Houses.

One sided, but basically correct.

Hi, do you mean you put both people born at noon or you just look at where the planets of the person without the birth time fit in the chart of the one who has the birth time? I think you mean the second part.

It's too bad if it's that way, because I do think he's having a greater effect on me than I am on him as you see above where his planets are hitting my chart.

I really don't know if I should run even though I really like him, which of course would be my tendency.

Anyway, it might just resolve itself. But it's at least a concrete example to learn from.

I'd have to look at the whole chart to say anything, it all depends on aspects.

If you have your birth time, of course you would use that. You put his Planets in your Houses.

The Noontime is as central as you can get, without knowing the birthtime.

Thanks.
I was mostly ignoring houses and looking at just the aspects and his general disposition. His whole chart is based on work and for sure, he's having work problems so I'm definitely 2nd to that.

Thank you to everyone who answered my thread.

In conclusion: I've learned a few things.

1. Don't trust the online interpretations. Get the aspects, etc but ignore the text as it seems they tend to gloss over everything not so positive. Well, and they aren't so in-depth really, are they.

2. I've learned a lot more about astrology this way. Yeah!

3. And finally, in case you were wondering. I've ended the relationship or rather i've let it just fizzle out.

Even though there are lots of sparks flying when we are together, (I think) his Aquarius moon gives him the "not that into vibe me" even if he were to be "that into me". His Venus in Gemini gives him the "one day your in, the next your out" attitude. So at the end of the day, he can't give me what my Venus in Scorpio wants and my Sag moon can't wait around forever.

Even though my Venus is grumpy and heart broken, my Sag sun will help me get over it. That and it's only been 5 months. So the sting could have been worse!

(How did I do with interpretations?)

Ok.... Venus retro brought him back and I'm banging my head against the desk for letting him in. Of course, he's now gone off again and I can't get him out of my head.... Ugh!

(bang, bang, bang!)

Why do we do this to ourselves?! LOL.
