Basic Basic Astrology—— What is a Chart?

There are some people who know nothing about Astrology. We have all been there.It is like being in a foreign country not speaking the language. For those people, I would like to do a series on Basic, Basic Astrology. The first article is THE most basic. What is a chart?

A chart is the picture of the Universe at the time you drew your first breath.The Universe existed the minute before you drew your first breath.However, you were not in it.When you took your first breath, you became part of the Geometry which is the Universe.You became a grain of sand in the vast Universe, with your own latitude and longitude. You became part of matter. Your existence is part of the great energetic make-up of the physical world. That is what your chart shows.It shows you, as a particle, which is touched by all the planets and asteroids in a PARTICULAR geometric way. All matter is energy at it’s root. The base of all of us and everything in the Universe is energy. Hence, your chart is a map of the energies at play at your birth. You become one with them, as part of the dynamic whole. Your address, on this earth, is your chart.Would God send us here, without a map? The Bible is His Map of Macro life. Our chart is our map of Micro life i.e ourselves.

Basic Basic Astrology–What is the Sun?

The Sun is the center of the Solar System. The Sun is the center of oneself, in the same way. The natural Sun gives light to the earth.Our Sun is our most basic drive.It is what we KNOW as our “self”. When one puts one’s foot on the gas pedal, one would be igniting one’s Sun. One’s Sun is one’s powerhouse. It is one’s ego. It is one’s thrust.That is why we can pick up a person’s Sun sign. If I honed you down to “you”, it would be your Sun. Your Sun sign is the you of you. Study it, if you have a weak ego. Fortify the strengths of your Sun. Try to accept the weaknesses.

Basic Basic Astrology—What is the Moon?

The Moon is your feelings.If you are out of touch with your feelings, you are out of touch with your moon. Your Moon Sign shows how you process your feelings. Are you a Chessnut Tree or an Oak Tree? Are you a flowering bush or a prickly one? One cannot help which type of tree one is. However,one can try to get in touch with one’s Moon, as it is one’s inner child. If one shoos him away, one will lose childlike wonder.One will lose childlike innocence. One will lose belly laughter. Last but not least, one falls in loves: child to child. Let your child out.

Basic Basic Astrology–What is Venus?

Venus is what you find beautiful. Think of an Art Museum. Some people like water colors and pastels. Some people like somber, ponderous art. Some people love sculpture with it’s exquisite detail. Think of music. Some people like refined classical music. Within classical music, there is the lightness of Mozart, the heaviness of Wagner, the complexity of Bach and the emotive nature of Opera.One is attracted to one’s Venus Sign.

One loves in a Venus Sign way, also. One can love in a heavy emotive way such as a Scorpio Venus. One may pour intensity in to one’s lover, emotionally and sexually.One may love as a Gemini Venus, lightly as a butterfly.One may love as a Virgo Venus, wanting purity in one’s lover.One may love as a Capricorn Venus, wanting quality such that one can respect one’s lover. One may love as a Leo Venus, wanting charisma and glamor in his lover. Study your Venus to see what you love and how you love.
