Hello my LL friends!

I have problem with understanding which planet in one’s natal chart is most important.

Someone told me, that planet, that has highest degree, is most important in your natal chart (for example: I have Mars at 26°32’ of Taurus; my 2nd highest is Jupiter at 26°10’ Taurus)

Other person mentioned me that having Mars in its own sign (Aries) and its own house (6th House) is the most important planet in my chart.

Then I read that having Pluto on the ascendant in its own sign is also very important…

So you can see why I am a little bit confused.

I would really appreciate if you could share your thoughts, experiences with me!

Thanks!

If needed, here is my chart:

For me, it would take a long time working on the chart to come to that conclusion. People do dispositors to answer that question. I take at least a full day on every chart and try to answer it by intuitive feel so I could not answer in a short time but maybe someone else could, my Friend!

Thanks. I hope, I was understood correctly. I don't need an exact answer for my chart. I just put my chart up there so that other would see, what I meant with 'highest degree' and 'pluto on ascendent'.

I would be grateful, if you or anyone else could explain (if it is possible to do this here), how do you approach to each chart, when you are trying to find out someones most important planet in natal chart. Perhaps what are most basic steps that you do?

It really takes a lot of study, cause when I look at your chart, I can see many Dignified Planets.

That is, they are strong and happy in their placement.

Mars, Saturn and Pluto; at first glance, they are all in their own Sign.

They are also the Rulers of your Big Three; Moon, Sun and Ascendent.

Pluto is Domicile, Angular and Chart Ruler, so that gives it a lot of oomph.

Cardinal/Earth pretty much takes over your chart.

Almost all of your Planets are below the surface in Hemisphere.

But you have to study to get these fixed in your mind before it just clicks.

One thing that is good when you list your Planets by Degree is that you have a basic understanding of the Cycle.

You know every time the Moon (monthly) comes to Two Degrees it will trigger your Moon and Venus, for example.

It's like how you get to Carnegie Hall, you know.

The Big Three are important; Sun, Moon and Ascendent.

Angles are important.

Stationary is a big deal.

Sometimes they are on Fixed Stars, or above or below the norm; really, it is quite variable.

Thank you so much for that, Ellynlvx!

Do you maybe know some good websites, where I could read more about it? I have already searched LL forum, but couldn't find much information.

from my personal experience, whichever planet is aspecting the ascendent the strongest has a huge influence. the strongest aspect would probably be the conjunction, next opposition, then trine, then square, then quintile (maybe), then sextile, and so on, thats my assumption.

you have saturn sextile asc (1 degree), moon biquintile asc (0.5 degree), and pluto conjunct ascendent (7 degree). so i'd say your best bet is between those 3

Thank you for these thoughts!

I have one more question. You mentioned biquintile - I have never before read that biquintile would be 'big deal' aspect. How much 'effect' biquintile acctualy has? Does biquintile in ones chart has any meaning? I would love to read more about biquintiles.

You're welcome.

"Marc Jones gave the keyword “talent” to this aspect. I would add to this an innate talent, that tends to manifest spontaneously and with a lot of raw vitality behind it. The five pointed star is the symbol of magic, and the 5-based quintile carries the energy of magic."

I just C+Pasted that. it also has to do with mathematical abilities, the desire to make order and structure, and fascinations with patterns apparently.

Some think quintiles are more powerful than the sextile. Others think it is just a minor aspect. I think quintiles and biquintiles are just as strong as eachother.

And i think quintiles are probably stronger then sextiles, but that they dont resonate with the main aspects as much because it's base isnt comprised of 30 degrees. 30 degrees goes into all the major aspects (trine, sextile, square, opposition, quinquinx, semisextile) so all of those aspects resonate together quite well, meanwhile the quintile is in its own class kind of. i definitely think it is a powerful aspect to have, the more exact the more powerful.

Quintiles are seen as Trines from the outside but the individual is not aware of it. It is very unconscious.

Think about the quintile like the turbo in a car. Once you reach certain speed you then access your quintile for the extra boost.

It's something hidden inside you.

My own exprience with Mars quintile Pluto.

When you have pluto in the 1st House or ascendant is like a snake shedding its skin.

Force you to change your physical appearance constantly(I have this position).

The motivation for those changes are usually extreme or difficult circumstances.

That's what scorpio/pluto is all about extreme and tragic situations(Life and Death).

I would say in your case the most important planet would be Mars. I took a little time to evaluate your chart.

It's true each chart is unique and has to be looked at individually. The most important planet could be any of the above mentioned possibilities. Plus perhaps it could be the most aspected planet, the planet that resonates to your numerology, or based on declination, plus many other possibilities based on the numerous systems of astrology that exist today, many of which are not publicized.

Basically if you study a chart you will find a theme and a pattern. The planet that is most important will match that theme or pattern. In your chart Mars is the planet that most represents that theme.

Your Sun(External self) and Moon(Internal self) represent your essence.

Good luck...!
