I have been trying to lose some weight for a few times now, but I never had much success, although the most ‘successful’ time for losing weight for me was in last two years which could probably has something to do with transit Saturn being in my first house. Is there any theory on which transits are best for starting a diet? Or for changing your daily eating routine? Which transits can help you to ‘stick with your decisions’ about new health regime? If anyone is interested in exploring my natal chart regarding to this matter, I would gladly put my natal chart with transit here. Thanks for help! IP: Logged |

I've also heard Saturn transiting 1st. But I lost weight more or less when Saturn was exiting 12th and entering 1st.

Saturn transiting the first house begins with a Saturn conjunction to the Ascendant, a transit of personal significance. The first house is a fire house, a house that rules our personal identity. We concern ourselves with how we come across to others on a personal level with Saturn here. Our physical body becomes a focus as well. Depending on the age of the native, it may be a time when we feel our age, or it is a time when we see our bodies quite clearly. This is an excellent time for beginning health regimens, diets, and the like, simply because it is a time when we look in the mirror and see ourselves clearly—not what we want to see. Our outlook on life changes to a more serious, responsible tone. In the beginning stages of the transit, you may feel frustrated with yourself, let down, and lacking in self-confidence. You might reach out to others in an attempt to validate yourself, looking for ways to boost your confidence. When these attempts fail, you may feel temporarily let down and discouraged. Rest assured that Saturn will re-work these feelings, with your help of course, until you reach a point (as Saturn moves through the house) where you have a stronger sense of self. This transit acts to transform your self-confidence in such a way that you question the source of your confidence to date, and discover a more solid base for pulling up inner strength. Saturn here acts to rip away the superficial. Illusions about the self, the body, and personal abilities will no longer be tolerated. The end result is a newfound identity and a realistic understanding of the self. In terms of career and projects, outward signs of progress may not be as forthcoming, yet the work that you do during this transit will lay a foundation for future success and progress! For example, some years ago, a client began a hobby/project during a Saturn transit to her first house, something that took up a lot of her time and energy and that yielded nothing in terms of immediate financial gain—until later! In fact, this "hobby" turned into her career in the years to follow.IP: Logged |

That is so very true for me! I never saw myself as "fat" and I always thought I looked good. But I did know I needed to lose "some weight". By the time I lost 15kgs I was like "whoa! I was where did those 15kgs come from?" Looking back at pictures you can clearly see in my face that I needed to lose weight. It seemed like a different person. And I was amazed at how our image of ourselves is really all in our mind. I can see how anorexics think they are fat. It's in the mind. Saturn is well and truly in my first house now and I'm slipping on my weight loss. I could stand to lose another good 10kgs. That would make something like 50lbs too much that I was carrying. I still wonder how on earth I had 50lbs to lose. IP: Logged |

I was at my most healthy, with weight loss and eating healthy when my Saturn was transiting my 6th house. Makes sense. Now it's transiting the 7th and I'm in a committed relationship, and naturally gained weight. It has come full circle lol!IP: Logged |

I've always been very chubby and "awkward" looking because of it haha. I have a Saturn in the 1st house transit coming up very very soon and I already feel the effects of it. Now I just need to put these thoughts into action and actually lose the weight....Having natal Sun sq. Jupiter, Jupiter sq. ASC, and Venus sq. Jupiter does not make this easy at all. IP: Logged |
