I was wondering about the dynamics of a grand cross in a natal chart & also a composite/synastry chart.1. In my natal chart, I have quite a bit of t-squares. I have t-squares that are just fixed, I have t-squares that are just mutable, and then I have t-squares that have both in them. The problem with this is that it forms 3 points of a grand cross (oppositions and everything) but the fourth square aspect needed to complete it doesn't exist. Would this still be a grand cross? 2. To the synastry/composite part, since grand crosses are hard to handle in a natal chart and often end up being frustrating, would a partnership with someone you have a grand cross with manifest the same way? lol, you should put this question in Astrology 2.0, cause it's advanced. I have the same as you, 3 t-squares but I miss the last aspect to fulfil the cross. It should be an aspect between jupiter and moon, and it's there, but way too wide. I dont consider it a grand cross because if it, cause it's not complete. If I ever meet someone who has the last placement and will fulfill my grand cross, then I think that person will be ver special to me. But it's not likely to be in a good way no. IP: Logged |

If you do not have the forth point to close the square you do not have a grand cross. What you seem to have is a T-Square. (Or several T squares). This name has always confused me because it's actually a triangle! IP: Logged |

@next to neptune: Okay thank you for the info! I'll repost this question there. & yeah, I never quite considered it a grand cross for the reasons you mentioned but I've seen some things on some websites where there were chart interpretations done of a grand cross but it only had 3 of the square aspects & I just got really confused.& yeah I just met a lad a few weeks ago whom I have a mutable grand cross with, but also an Earth grand trine in synastry. It's weird because on some things we REALLY get each other and things are smooth. Like we don't actually have to talk to one another to be comfortable in each other's company. But at the same time when we're together we almost never make a solid decision on anything & we've been semi-flirting but it seems to have no clarity to it & I can't figure out if he's into me or if he's just being a really good friend. 1. Watch for transits that would complete the tsquares and turn it into a grandcross.2. I can tell you that my meaningful relationships always involve tsquares. I find tsquares in composite pull me in, bring intimacy, excitement. It comes with its challenges but it keeps things interesting and dynamic. IP: Logged |
