So I was wondering about retrograde planets.

SaturnR
JupiterR
PlutoR
MarsR
etc.

So my transit is SaturnR conjunct with Moon Saggittarius....(western astrology)

Saturn with Moon I would see as maybe high standard/expections...being hard on yourself...

But, with SaturnR wouldn't that be more like...reflecting on or even realizing that your expectations of self doesn't truly align with what self is truly capable of.

Almost like....Say someone wanted to be a Doctor...and they had this huge standard...kept going for the wrong career for self (even if they are amazing at science.) Until the universe had to kick them or throw them from "grace" to force them to go within and see what expectations don't truly align with their true passion (such as being a lawyer would be more fulfilling to them.)

***No I am not studying medicine nor law**

I know house still matters but what has been your experience with what transiting retrograde planets really mean.

Thank you. I think there might be a book about it.

I am not that good with transits. I am not drawn to them. They make me too paranoid

This may not be entirely accurate, but a retrograde transiting planet tends to make things go out of whack. Try applying that to the planet the transiting planet is conjunct in your natal and see if that part of you is going crazy. Most of the time a planet going retrograde means the planet wants you to see a new perspective in that area.

Moon is my ascendent's planet...I'm cancer ascendent. I also have MarsR transiting and moon transiting with SaturnR with my moon.

The SaturnR is conjunct with my moon, but the MarsR and Moon are I think too many degrees from moon to be as strong as an influence.

So I think I am seeing what perspective it is trying to show me.

Lol I haven't really heavily studied Transit. But I am doing a lot this year and I figured maybe I should see the different themes...so I can better handle/accept this year.

When transiting Saturn goes RX it is giving you a break! When its moving there will be lessons and setbacks, and overcoming difficulties. These will require self-discipline, taking responsibility, and that you re-examine your motives in the affairs of the house it is moving through. Saturn is a tester and teacher, and the goal is perfection. The severity of the transit depends on whether you accept the lessons,or are trying to fight them.
When it goes RX it is like a lunch break from the lessons, so enjoy it while it lasts :-)
