The native may have a generosity of spirit mixed together with a fear of being taken advantage of because typically speaking, their "heart" is on the line with regards to the things that they put energy focus.

They want to do things in a dignified manner and love big gestures(so long as they are sincere and heartfelt).
Infact the key to all Leo placements is "heart" :"bottom of my heart", "heartfelt", "heartsore", "heartstrings", "sweetheart", " braveheart", "heart on sleeve" etc.

So Leo(Scorpio being another) is a sign that can be the most susceptible to a heart attack- mostly due to taking everything to "heart".

If you watch the movie "Braveheart", the Mel Gibson character fights with his heart on the line. Its a patriotic movie(true) and i reckon that the character has Sun in Cancer or Sun in the 4th house.

But if you watch the movie, he does things in such a grand "heartfelt" way i.e even when his great love dies, he wins the heart of another princess who admires the loyalty he has to his love (even posthumously)

If Sun/Mars/Leo cusp is in the 9th house for instance, your religious beliefs or educational standing is something very close to your heart. Some with Sun in 9th may also defend their atheistic opinions

This describes me so well I just never saw this as the area of Mars until now. I had ascribed so many of these tendencies specifically the emphasis on pride, dignity and fear of being taken advantage of to Scorpio-ness. Wow, thank you!
