I read somewhere that with composite it didn't really count unless the individuals were an actual couple but that seems silly to me as I've done composite for myself with friends etc

Idk, just wanting some opinions here about how these charts differ when looking at a friendship, business relationship, family member or looking at romantic relationship

Thanks

For me, it's complicated.

Seems that our composite completely takes over (the entire universe!) when we're together. Namely, interacting.

But - BUT - not at a distance.

We can be on the phone: composite.
In person: COMPOSITE.

Emailing? Facebook? Texting? Anything - ANYTHING - that is not realtime communication?

Synastry.

And as to Davison versus composite, when it comes to him, it's a moot point; they're practically the same.

I'll have to pay more attention regarding my Guardian relationship, however.

I've never looked at our Davison, actually, and I just did. The date, 20 February 1974 ... I got chills. I don't know why. First time THAT's happened.

Either way, it's quite different from the composite. Perhaps, I ought to be watching this thread, as I honestly can't say when the Davison takes over.

Perhaps it IS when you're in a relationship? I wonder.

Ceri! (Or, Lee, actually) - as they're both very Davison-adept.

Your attentive expertise is requested!

Let's see ...

COMPOSITE

DAVISON

Indeed, some very distinct differences. It'll be interesting to see what the gals say.

Oh, wow. The NODES switched signs! Completely! I know this can happen, but I've not seen the NODES do that. Wow.

MOON-ALICE-EROS is a theme. A big one. It's all over ... everything in many systems. So, I'm not surprised it's consistent here. cATROPOS-NNODE transferred, too.

What IS getting my attention is this.

cNNODE conjunct cATROPOS

Then

dSNODE conjunct dMADHATTER - now with SATURN.

(That sounds like an advert. 'Now with Saturn!' Anyway.)

Incidentally, though it's not here, LEWISCARROLL is conjunct the SNODE in the Composite.

Guess I need to see where it is in the Davison.

Ohhh, it's so useful to know your theme.

Back in a bit.

Oh, Lee. Check out the ATROPOS and LACHESIS action going on.

That's my Guardian, Lee. I figured I'd give things a rest on the energetic level with my Twin for a bit and focus upon something more tangible.

Bonne nuit!

I use both even if a relationship hasn't started.

The Composite for me shows what the relationship will be like always. If you wanted to know about how compatible two people are.. and if they will enjoy each other.

The Davison is the forces acting on the relationship. Usually most accurate when looking at transits.

Interesting. Thanks for that input; I'll keep that in mind. Forces acting on the relationship. Huh. Okay.

So then we'd compare the composite as a more intrinsic representation of the relationship (or dynamic) itself, with the Davison as external forces.

Ever do something nuts like look at the two synastrically? The Davison as the transits to the composite?

With one of my lovers from past lives, we have Composite Sun at 25 Leo and Draconic Sun at 26 Aquarius. We met when there was a new moon with Venus, Mars, and Saturn all at 25 Leo.

Good idea!
It looks like a professional relationship - do you work together? Also an avantgarde friendship - Uranus rules IC (the heart of the matter) is conjunct ASC and the dispositor Venus also in the 10th house, conjunct the Sun. A nice friendship where both people assert themselves - Mars rules the DSC and it is in 1st. Lachesis looks good for durability, despite that Uranus ASC and Atropos on NN.

But I notice both your relationships have Chiron on DSC. Have you thought about this? Theoretically, such a relationship is likely to bring a lot of pain and/or healing.
