So, I've been sitting on this one for awhile. I apologise if it might be better filed in Asteroids, but I'm seeking greater understanding of its presence in my synastry, and therefore composite, and as an overall component of a larger theme. His PSYCHE is conjunct my MADHATTER (0º36) His MADHATTER is conjunct my PSYCHE (1º25) Naturally, in the composite: MADHATTER conjunct PSYCHE (0º22) I find it curious that my MADHATTER squares my VALENTINE (2º45) while his is conjunct 0º22. Anyone want to take a gander at how this would play out in relational dynamics? I know how MADHATTER functions, but its relationship to PSYCHE is what keeps throwing me. How to define that? ... that would fit! We're both kooky Axis II's (schizotypal) with clearly eccentric personalities - but tending more towards propriety rather than extremism, curiously. Like being teetotallers and autodidacts. As he's come to understand his own schizoidism, though, he's reflecting upon what it's meant in terms of how he's viewed. 'Am I really that odd?' he asked me just last night, regarding how he stunned a small group into silence, by being able to spout off a short history of Magellan. 'Doesn't everyone do this?' I have to remind him that, no, we're outliers. And it's all right. It's as if now that he's becoming truly self-aware (a very good thing!) he's also a bit preoccupied with just how far from the bell curve we fall. I say, embrace it! Within reason, of course. It's in Virgo, after all. Please. Let's not lose our heads. The signs are VIRGO and GEMINI, too. Perhaps he secretly loves his madness and just won't cop to it (VALENTINE conjunct MADHATTER 0º). Aha! Astrology pulls the wool again! MADHATTER is also parallel his SUN. He really should give it up and stop trying to analyse why he's just not like the rest. IP: Logged |

That's about how I had you pegged. Come on down! There's always room at the mad tea party, just, bear in mind ... it's always under construction. I was originally diagnosed SPD at nineteen, when I volunteered myself for a full battery, wanting to know if I was losing my mind or not. Turns out, not. I question the diagnosis only because of its criteria. THEY would consider my beliefs 'odd or eccentric'. At the time, I didn't! So, it's a bit relative, those self-inventories. IP: Logged |

Thanks, L. Yeah, he's got the absent-minded thing down. But, like P says, it's all an act. He's paying extreme attention and filtring through only what he considers worthwhile to hang onto. Sometimes you can call attention to his obliviousness, and he'll respond utmost apologetically, in his usual supremely polite fashion (the LIBRA MARS) or ... you'll get the ARIES stellium. Obstinate. A little egoistic. And completely unfazed. Wonder if that's the MADHATTER at work. Heh. It's a gamble! No idea which way he's going to go. And, of course, CANCER SUN. Moody? Ohhhh, yes. In his way, naturally, which is far from typical. IP: Logged | |
