Cool! thanks, sis...can't wait to check it out

Adorea

Asteroid 268, Adorea, was discovered on June 8, 1887 by Alphonse Borrelly at Marseille, France. It has a period of 5 years, 164 days.

Adorea was named for adorea liba, the flat spelt cakes that were offerings to the gods in Roman times. This name was controversial among astronomers at the time because it broke with tradition in referring to something that was neither human nor mythological.

The astrological meaning of the asteroid seems to be what the name suggests: adoring, adored, to adore.

Elian Gonzalez is a Cuban refugee who at age 5 was plucked out of the Straits of Florida and became the focus of a highly emotionally and politically charged incident that ended with him being reunited with his father in Cuba, Elian has Adorea square Dioretsa (taking a strange detour), trine Hylonome (popular sentiment), and opposite Mercury (the media).

Princess Diana had Adorea in the seventh house, semisquare Ceres (nurturance, family), square Pallas (politics) and Juno (marriage), and trine the Moon (the public) and Ixion (the law of attraction).

Elvis Presley had Adorea in the ninth house, semisextile Pluto (mass movements) and Midheaven (career), trine Uranus (new, rebellious), and opposite Saturn (work, career).

The late Japanese Emperor Hirohito, once revered as a living god, had Adorea in the sixth house, square Hylonome, sesquiquadrate Saturn, and contraparallel/parallel the Nodes (past influences and rising above them [or not].

Child beauty queen and murder victim JonBenet Ramsey had Adorea in the fifth house, semisquare Mercury, square Damocles (under threat), opposite Hidalgo (to advocate for), and parallel Hylonome. Her murder focused attention on child beauty pageants and the threat of pedophilia, and virtually ruined the lives of her parents, who were unjustly accused of killing her.

Pope John Paul II had Adorea in the third house, semisquare Uranus (to excite, to change), trine Mercury and Ceres, sesquiquadrate Saturn, and contraparallel Sun (leadership) and Pluto.

Mother Teresa had Adorea in the third house, trine Neptune (mysticism, to sacrifice), parallel Chiron (something that requires that you pay attention) and Dioretsa, and contraparallel Vesta (dedication, commitment).

I have Adorea conjunct Neptune under 1 deg. he has the same, with a wider orb. Adorea conjunct Adorea. Talking about adoration with Neptune lol

My Adorea, by translation from Neptune is connected to pretty much everything in my chart (Venus< mars< mercury, Pluto, Moon etc), for him too.

In composite, Adorea conjunct Neptune in 1st, trine Mars sextile Moon/Pluto.

My Adorea/Neptune conjunction is near my NN/POF, in the 10th house, near the 11th cusp.

My Adorea conj his Venus, and his Adorea conjuncts my Valentine exact. I wonder what the conjunction to Valentine means..

These are both very romantic and point to adoring love. To me, Valentine shows how you behave when in love.

I think another asteroid for idealization and adoration might be Galatea (74)

I have Adorea/Mars DW in synastry. His Adorea conjunct my Mars exact, mine biquintle his Adorea. Good to know.

My Galatea trines my Spirit, which seems fitting. Since Spirit also indicates enthusiasm for something/someone. I am definitely inclined to idealise.

My ADOREA is on 9°09 Capricorn.

I find it sweet somehow that I have:
Venus 6 Cap
Osiris 7 Cap
Isis 8 Cap
Spirit 10 Cap
Guinevere 10 Cap
Felicitas 6 Cap (happiness, bliss)

Well so my ADOREA is in a nearly perfect Grand trine with his Chiron on 9 Taurus, and his Mars-Jupiter on 10-11 Virgo, plus his AMOR on 9 Virgo, which opposes his EROS on 8 Pisces on my name in his chart on 9 Pisces (his own name is 10 Virgo)

While his Adorea is seemingly boringly place, in the composite we have

ADOREA conjunct Sun by under a degree
FELICITAS conjunct MOon by under 2 degrees.

Funny enough my pr FELICITAS is conjunct my natal Sun/Moon-mp on Avx exact. I suppose I am destined for happiness.

his pr ADOREA is just separating from a aconj. to his natal Sun/Moon-mp and actually right on his natal Moon. (separating from my natal Sun by about 2 degrees)

his solar arc fELICITAS conjunct my chartruler Jupiter exact, and activating the Grand Trine and T-square in synastry.

his solar arc ADOREA heading to exact conjunction with my Avx and Sun/Moon-mp (and squaring his own Pluto)

my sa FELICITAS conjunct my n Moon. Well they do not seem to lock into anything in his natal chart though. unless we count his Venus/Mars and Venus/Jupiter-mp

I presented a youtuber (a humorist) to my mother and she said she "adores" him (like very much, love watching his videos, his humor) so I just checked her asteroid "adorea" in her chart and hers is conjunct this humorist's Sun !

I love this asteroid, interesting. Mine is in libra in 3rd house, but is square Mars and Saturn. and opposed asteroid Mentor
