Btw, Angelina Jolie has her Saturn in opposition to Brad's Venus, too.And Jennifer Aniston's Saturn squared Brad Pitt's Venus & Moon by 1 degree. He did break her heart immensely. IP: Logged |

Isn't it Saturn who breaks Moon's heart? IP: Logged |

I'm so sorry, sis Is it possible that he really perceived you as cold, restrictive, distant etc. or was it a lie? Maybe your Saturn felt his love withering away and you froze?

Only if Saturn doesnt feel attracted to the Moon or Venus. Rejection comes with no regard to the other's feelings. If Saturn is attracted, however, they hang on to Venus or the Moon for dear life. Usually Saturn gets what they want and soon or later take over the control, but watch out when Moon or Venus start sailing away or show any kind of independence, Saturn goes crazy trying to regain the Venus- Moon back into their domain.... Liz Green has an outstanding book on the way Saturn operates when in close contact to Sun, Moon and Venus in synastry IP: Logged |

I never quite thought of it in that light. While he vehemently rejected me, it was after months of my distancing because I couldn't take how afraid he was, to the point of being defensive. Classic SATURN-MOON situation, now that I think about it. IP: Logged |

Saturn can go both ways. If the Moon/Venus are weak and completely give away the control to Saturn, Saturn may start taking them for granted, even feel them as a burden. If the attraction is not enough, they will cut them. Hence the unrequited love - Saturn blatantly rejects what they don't want and it usually happens in the beginning. If the attraction is strong, initially Saturn will do anything in their power to attract and make Venus fall in love with them. No obstacles can stand in their way. Once the connection is established, Saturn - out of fear for losing them- will start exercising pressure by restriction and go for the co- dependancy game, ie - "you are not capable of anything, be thankful im here to take care of you" stuff.

Very vivid and insightful descriptions, sis. And that part about Saturn being insecure.I think what these planets rule in the natal chart would flavor the connection too. My Saturn rules my ASC, sits on DSC, and I imagine someone aspecting it with Venus would trigger 1st/7th house matters for me. IP: Logged |

Thanks, sugar, Your Saturn is very well integrated in your chart - it's on your DSC, trining Juno & Sun - and you exude such stamina and balance of character, im sure that whomever Venus activate your Saturn, they will be in for the long ride. IP: Logged |

Here is a part of a great article on Venus - Saturn dynamic in synastry, just the same sentiment i was trying to express earlier. And LoLo, same notion with the stories i shared with u earlier about my mom & dad Saturn - Venus, and my sis- husband Saturn - Venus. If you’re not aware of Venus/Saturn as a relationship magnet, it can hit you blindside. In the words of Liz Greene, from her book Saturn, A New Look at an Old Devil – one of the greatest books on Saturn – when Saturn sees something it wants, it can act like “the most inflamed Mars.” No one thinks of Saturn that way. And yet, in practice, over the years, I’ve seen him do just that, over and over and over again. Why? The secret of Saturn is that Saturn needs. He knows what he has to do, and the clock is ticking. If you have what he needs, he will court you like a lovesick swain. His love is genuine, desperate. Tick tock.
What Saturn wants is Venus. All that grace, all that gentility, all that beauty, is a balm to his harsh existence. When Venus touches Saturn, he is no longer the builder, the taskmaster, the responsible one. In Venus’s presence he can become the master craftsman, the artist. His work has a purpose beyond the mundane. He can take the raw materials of Venus, her beauty, her desire, and use them to achieve his purpose in an elevated and more gentle manner. Venus encourages him to share his skills and experience. Venus wants to be desired, and she senses his need. Remember that Saturn is exalted in Libra. But Saturn/Venus doesn’t pounce, as Mars/Venus might and Mars/Moon often does. (Mars/Moon is a contact between two primal forces, where Saturn/Venus is much more sophisticated.) Saturn will court. Saturn will spend time. Saturn will feed your cat when you’re away and mend your loose wiring and fill your refrigerator on top of it. When you return, Saturn will hold your hand and talk to you through the night and stoically suppress sighs of longing – until one day when you trust him utterly and he’s certain he won’t be rejected, he will pounce. Saturn can wait forever where Venus is concerned. Saturn is desperate for appreciation, and appreciation is what Venus does best. This is always a very sensual tie, no matter what sign it falls in. The earthy, Taurean side of Venus is a natural match for the equally earthy Saturn. And they will want the best of everything for and from one another, and they are both very security-minded planets. With the hard aspects there will be more striving, and more tussling for rewards (internal and external), but the same underlying desire will be there." http://sasstrology.com/2010/08/rethinking-venussaturn-in-synastry.html IP: Logged |

This is a bit misleading. I think that relationship ended because they were at different phases in life, or in the least wanted different things out of live. It was no secret that Brad Pitt wanted to start a family & become a father. Aniston knew in exact terms what it took to keep him. IP: Logged |
