My Ceres is exactly conjunct my ex-soulmate's Jupiter.

Edit

Welll....time goes by and I have gotten tired of talking about him and that relationship (thank you LL, for the years of therapy ). But this was a great aspect to have.

Made this thread for meissieri.

Hi, Faith, here I am.

Lovely worded. Hadn't really thought of that, becoming dependent on Jupiter, but it makes sense how you put it. That Mercury-Mercury trine is so nice - even more ruling your Ceres.

My close guy friend as a teenager had his Sun-Jupiter conjunction on my Ceres exact. (My Ceres at 19 Gemini, his Sun as well and his Jupiter at 18 Gem)

I wanted to take care of him all the time. Like when someone touches my Moon, I enjoyed being the one who'd comfort him, whom he'd come to for help (he told me all of his problems, and they were bad). We talked every day, lots of different conversations, laughing. He made me laugh so much I didn't think was even possible. Our conversations were just so smooth (though like you, we had positive Mercury aspects - his trine my Venus and Juno). And when we did fight, it would shake us up so badly I'm not sure we could've stayed mad at each other for long. I would be crying for half an hour straight and immediately reached back out to him. He told me he couldn't sleep and even when we made up, it'd affected him so much he'd still feel bad about it and have trouble sleeping.

It just never occurred to me I could lose him (Ceres again?). That our friendship would end. We spent so much time together it was like a nice, comfortable habit. Ironically when we did lose touch, I was so busy starting at a new school and got a boyfriend, so it didn't even affect me that much until a while later. We did briefly pick things back up but then I guess we just drifted apart.

Oh, and his Capricorn stellium trined my Mercury, I think. At least Neptune (he was only two months older than me, and I have the trine, too). His Venus in Cancer did as well, plus an exact sextile to my Mars. His Mars in Cancer then sextiled my Venus and Juno.

Thank you!

That relationship sounds so sweet. I wonder if the part where he came to you with all of his problems is more like the sun-Ceres part of your conjunction? Sun conjunct Ceres being a kind of mothering aspect...at least, that's what I've heard. (And my Ceres is conjunct my son's sun...so I feel it, too.)

Your synastry with him looks beautiful.

More later if I think of anything else.

It was. At least for me. Could very well be, like it feels important for their whole vitality and morale. I would give him a lot of moral support and try to cheer him up.

What is it like between you and your son? That's a really nice aspect to have for a mother and child. I bet he can easily make you smile.

Maybe we can figure it out just by talking through it like the Gemini Ceresses we are

It was a very nice synastry. The Mars-Venus sextile DW was especially good. We still had to put in some effort, like the sextile itself, but it never felt like it.

What aspects does your Ceres make in your chart?

On top of my head, I have these:
Sun sextile Ceres
BML trine Ceres
Pluto biquintile Ceres
Ceres quintile Descendant

How wide can you make the orbs, by the way? It's an asteroid, but one of the main ones, so maybe...
With a 4 degree orb, I also get Ceres square Mercury, and sextile my Vertex and Pallas.

Definitely! I think I'll post a pic on the meissieri thread when I get time, so you can see his cuteness. His ASC-Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in late Pisces gives him this mystical expression...as I read it, anyway.

We hug a lot, I give him piggy-back rides, we're literally attached at the hip much of the time.

I am his medicine. If he's hurt, all I have to do is pick him up and hold him until he feels better. Negative side of that is, he get immoderately upset if I'm busy with other things and can't run to his aid.

He is also my medicine, in a way. I always feel better after spending "quality time" with him, giving him my full attention.

ETA: His Ceres is conjunct my sun, how did I forget that here? Brain malfunction.

It's weird because Ceres is a dwarf planet, but then wikipedia also calls it "the largest asteroid." Make up yer minds astronomers, astrology is counting on you!

I like the 4 degree orb, it's halfway between asteroid orb (2) and real planet orb (I use 6.) So I've got...with orbs in parentheses:

Ceres sextile Vesta (1)
Ceres sextile Saturn (1)
Ceres trine Mercury (4)

And I also have Ceres opposing Venus if you gimme 5 degrees. Maybe not a serious problem, but it does highlight the way in which I sometimes, when I was single, craved communication with men, while at the same time feeling strictly independent of them romantically.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that everyone I suspected having a major Ceres connection with, I did have a connection with. So most of my close friends have air Cereses for example. The brother I talk to most about emotional issues has his Ceres is conjunct my sun (4 degree orb.)

After mapping out my Ceres synastry with friends/family, I take it more Ceresly (pronounced "seriously" awesome pun, I know!)

How about you, have you checked what Ceres is doing in other relationships?

I have that in my natal, in Pisces.
But I also love everything that touches - nicely- my Ceres and Jupiter. Feels really warm and comforting.

^ Touches my moon!

ETA: Though...you probably meant something about romance, and I'm being sloppy about orbs.

My longtime college boyfriend also had Jupiter-Ceres on my moon. I guess that was one of the factors in our odd longevity.

Hey, Faith. I had these Ceres aspects in some important relationships (not all romantic).

With the Gemini: His Ceres in Taurus trined my Venus-Juno exact. Also exact square to my Nodes, and opposed my Karma and Dejanira. Talking about intense and karmic! I felt very at ease with him. We shared a lot of lyrics and poetry, probably part of the Venus connection.

1st serious relationship (Capricorn): Sadly not very good synastry.
- My Ceres on his Chiron.
- His Sag Ceres (around the same degrees as another ex!) square my Mercury.
- Mine was square his Pisces Jupiter and opposite his Sag Saturn.
- But it may have been sextile his Leo Moon. (Don't know his birth time.) It was also sextile his Karma.

2nd one... I'll check someday. Another Cappie. This guy verbally and emotionally abused me, and I don't like the memories tied to him, even though he was also my longest and most intimate relationship.

Ex I remained friends with and had a very friendly, mutual breakup with (still think of him fondly! He's a Sagittarius):
- His Venus in Libra trine my Ceres exact. Probably explains why we remained so friendly even after we broke up. It all just went smoothly.
- I may have had my Ceres sextile his Leo Moon as well. Don't know his birth time, so I'm not sure about the Moon's position. Noon chart makes it exact, though?
- If you give me a 5-degree orb, it opposes his Mercury, though.
- And his own Sag Ceres tightly square my Mercury.
- But it was also trine my Vertex.

Taurus major crush:
- My Ceres on his Part of Fortune
- His Ceres on my Mars in Virgo. He had these moments of super attentiveness that made me melt and blush like a teenager. (Mars ruling H7) I became more assertive around him quickly and tried hard to get his attention.
- Opposite his Saggitarius Saturn and square his Jupiter in Pisces (again, like the ex).

Scorpio major crush:
- My Ceres square his Pisces Moon. Ouch.
- But also on his Part of Fortune.
- Grand Trine with his North Node and Valentine.
- Opposite his Eros.
- Aaand... his Ceres was on my Jupiter! My MC as well. Got to think about this one and how it felt for me.
- So also opposite my Saturn and Neptune and square my Ascendant.

Another Scorpio crush:
- My Ceres square his Karma
- His Ceres fell on my Ascendant, squaring Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune.

Good friend from school (female, Aquarius):
- Her Moon falls just out of orb for a conjunction with my Ceres (13 Gemini). Grrr. *shakes fist* But maybe we can feel it by sign?
- Opposite her BML
- Her Ceres in Scorpio makes a Grand Trine with my Jupiter and Part of Fortune. Emotionally, I feel like I can tell her anything (and have), even though she has soooo much air that clashes with my chart. She's confided in me quite a few times, too, about some very intense problems she's gone through.
- It's also sextile my Uranus.

Just a start.

Oh, I did not know this, Or maybe I did and am just too distracted

But feels nicely comfortable and warm, doesn`t it?

Actually my Ceres-Jupiter is conjunct my middle brother`s Venus and my younger brother`s Sun (though Ceres-Sun is a tad wide).
Always felt very protective of them. Anyone goes up against one of my brothers, first he has to get past me!

(actually there have been some mmm difficult situations in the past, where my middle brother was being threatened by a boy with a knife - to be fair though, my brother had insulted the boy before, did not really matter to me at that point- and I was twisting the knife out of the boy`s hands by wrapping my hand around the blade. I suppose I was the most surprised about this though. But that is just it. if it comes to my brothers, I don`t think. I act. and the youngest? Well we once were being surprised by the coming flood, being in the ocean, and I was wading back through the water with him on my arm - he was maybe 4 or 5 at that time-, and afterwards I was really exchausted fighting against that undertow trying to pull us under. But that was no option for me, I had to bring back my brother safely. About the water that is family karma though).

I`d say my brothers are defnitely soulmates of mine, and I used to kick people out of my life (and house), because they were saying stupid things especially about my middle brother, who has the Down syndrome. When it comes to him and the youngest (no Down syndrome though), I just have a zero-tolerance-politics (wen it comes to intolerant people).

It's like you have a mother instinct towards them. Did you get hurt? Sometimes, I think adrenaline protects people...

Good! I would be the same way, intolerant of intolerance.

..'Can't say any of my brothers feels like a soulmate, and I actually haven't spent much time with them since becoming adults, but my Pisces moon brother and I have a special understanding between ourselves. It's cute looking at old family pictures...we're often sitting side by side, or I might be on his lap, with the same Neptunian, faraway look on our faces.

Hmmm lemme check for where his Ceres is...

-Conjunct his Saturn and my SN in Taurus
-Conjunct his wife's Chiron
-And his wife has a sun-Ceres conjunction in Taurus

Sun conjunct Ceres, maybe that's why she had sooo many cats. LOL

Wow, what a pattern...

Another brother has his Ceres in early Aqua, conjunct his wife's Ceres in late Cap.

Off topic but I'm the OP so, no apologies necessary.

Pfff... we lost touch a long time ago. Got each other's MSN (when it still existed) through a mutual friend about two years ago, but nothing came out of it. We do have some really good synastry. But I don't know how I'd get in touch with him. I am curious what he's like now!

Hmm. Not sure if it wasn't just his stellium in my 2nd house (it was very reassuring going into depth with him, Scorpio style). He was just that, very supportive when I talked about some bad friends, etc. I remember him saying he got annoyed with friends who'd only text/call if he did it first, and I was like, "... This happens to other people, too?" Haha. So shocked. It definitely soothed some of the pain just knowing I wasn't the only one. (Maybe the Cancer?).

Maybe you would! They may remind you of him when they're making you laugh or telling all of these crazy stories about their adventures. Imagine it falling on your Venus-Neptune conjunction, that'd be sweet. But now you have the familiarity of Gemini with your husband.

And yes, I love Saggie Ceres, even if they'll square something. They're really the storytellers. Somehow I can't help but listen, no matter how boring it is.

Oh, I know that. Like you had the best of Capricorn, I take it? But these two relationships plus my grandfather all showing the stereotypical hard*ss Cap did colour my view on astrology. When I just learnt about my chart, I just couldn't believe I had a Capricorn Moon, comparing it to those three. Of course Neptune changes that, glad I got to find that out.

Checking his chart (I'm not sure which one was 10 January and which one 17 - or maybe both on the same day):
Capricorn Sun, Aquarius Moon, Mercury in Capricorn (conj Uranus and Neptune), Venus in Aquarius and Mars in Taurus.

This one makes the most sense to me, as he was extremely talkative (somehow I thought he had a Gem Moon), but also argumentative and extremely rational. He rationalized everything and turned things into a joke. Was mostly into leaving people when upset.

And it especially explains a lot in our synastry.

Pluto squared both his Venus and Mars. My Sun made it a Grand Cross. Then his Jupiter in the mix only aggravated it. I think I mostly felt that Mars-Pluto opposition hitting my Sun from each side. I often felt like when he was ranting at the things I did, he was cutting right to my soul. Dunno where his Moon would be (aspects), don't have the birth time.

The real kicker? Gary Goldschneider's book on birthdays has January 17 as a soulmate date for me. Ugh :|

I'll check out what your favourite book says on those dates with me.

No need to apologize! You're just going with what you know. Which is good.

Haha, maybe it's a secret crush! Kidding, kidding. But it makes the Mars person more forward, pushing them to be more assertive. That seems to fit with all of those debates. Like, I don't mean it in a sarcastic way, it may genuinely add to it.

Still don't really know how it plays out. Maybe Ceres-Jupiter emphasizes the sign it's in and its positive qualities? For the MC, it may just be supporting someone in public, their status, etc. Which he did. We met on a writing board and he looked up to me as a writer. That fits, right?

Okay, wasn't sure about that. That does sound like Ceres in Gemini, especially having similar styles of nurturing. Does his Ceres aspect any planets of yours?

So, that's what I've got so far. Please do check in when you've found out more.
