I have this aspect with many people I know (sometimes I'm Mercury, sometimes I'm Mars). I have this with my best friend, I'm the Mercury in our case (not to mention we have this aspect to the exact degree).

How does Mercury feel about Mars, how does Mars feel about Mercury?

I really need a better understanding of this aspect, it's not really many posts regarding it.

Any comments, replies, real-life examples etc. are very much appreciated!

Oh yeah, and Happy Independence Day :-)

For mercury person:

They will understand mars' anger, wants, sexuality, and decision making. Good communication which breeds some sort of appreciation. They will feel they fully comprehend mars' action. Everything mars does is completely logical to them.

For the mars person:

They will feel understood and mentally accepted, and they might just a little bit get turned on, or at least excited, or have their martian ego fulfilled by their communication with that person.

Mercury is kind of a neutral planet: too much objective. So if it is well aspected in synastry, it acts as a mental moon. It gives tools and prirortize/manage mars' energy. And mars will energize mercury more, making the mercury person feel enticed to communicate more and also think more while with this person.

"You said it , I"ll do it" aspect .
I have it with my sis in law in scorpio . I 'm a mercury person , I feel the mars don't work against my will ...
The mars understand what I try to say .

For man-woman synastry is the perfect one that you will understand eachother expression , either verbal and non-verbal .

I have mars and mercury in scorpio SQUARE with my current BF who has marsand mercury in aquareaus ..... I can see how big differences it is.

I have the double whammy with my boyfriend, and he is virgo mercury conjunct my virgo mars, and I'm libra mercury trine his gemini mercury!

We have a perfect communication, and he is not even the greatest talker, but I understand him and he understands me… he understands my actions and my moods, so even if I feel annoyed or angry over something he is the perfect smooth talker and that calms me down instantly

Women who have their Mars conjunct or square my Mercury seem to hate me. I don't know why. I am so lovable

I have been noticing how often MERCURY is conjunct SUN in SM composites, more often than Sun conj VENUS.

Presumably, good communication is the basis of any close relationship.

I heard two opposite theories, or maybe it depends on the positions of both planets in the natal charts.

Theory one: positive
Mercury and Mars is like a union of ideas and action, people with this aspect tend to talk to each other a lot

Theory two: negative
in synastry, Mercury conj Mars can lead to a lot of arguments, though not always of the bad sort. just that this is the sort of relationship where you spar and fight verbally a lot, because Mars sort of injects Mercurial developments with both action and belligerence

Banter, that's the word I forgot to add.
Like, if you both have healthy, well-aspected Mars and Mercury, you'll banter a lot. If something is ill-affected, there might be verbal fighting. If someone's Mars or Mercury is really badly affected (or there are other Mercury-related squares in your synastry), the fighting might get nasty.

It would also depend on the signs, I think. Like, Mercury in Fire would enjoy banter and teasing and occasional arguments much more than a Cancer Mercury, for example.
