Hello all!

So recently I've been interested in a new guy so I had to look up our synastry. The most exact aspect in our charts is Mercury Square Saturn (he is Mercury, I am Saturn, the Orb is 0'09). I've been digging around on the internet but haven't found much information on Mercury/Saturn in synastry.

From what I've gathered, Mercury feels childish in the presence of Saturn; the aspect basically leads to a lack of communication. However, we also have Moon Conjunct Mercury (orb 5'34) and Venus trine Sun (2'26), so might those aspects make up for it?

Any personal experiences or knowledge of any kind is greatly appreciated! Cheers!

Personally, I don't look at aspects in isolation. For example, is this square part of a more complex configuration (geometric config)? Do you have an aspect between the other Mercury/Saturn?

Someone's Saturn is conjunct my mercury and he really goes out of the way to not communicate with me. Unless we are in person. Then he's very talkative.

When we do get along (too many power struggle aspects such as pluto, so it's rare), even texts are awkward. I'm a chatty texter. He isn't with me. Idk how he is with others. His social life is too active to not text others.

Other things: he judges my language skills harshly, but if someone else picked up 2 words in a another language, applause will be showered on them. Never mind that I speak 4 languages fluently and can pick and drop other languages by simply listening.

We have happy aspects such as venus+sun trine venus. Mars trine Neptune. But it's still frustrating (pluto = too many power struggles. I mentioned this).

In short, this sucks. And that's just the conjunction. I can only imagine the square being more difficult.

I had Saturn conjunct my mercury with another guy. He used to be frustrated that I didn't communicate enough. His logic: Aren't women supposed to be the more communicative types? If I didnt talk enough or begin enough conversations, he would think I was not interested enough. Ugh. Assumptions!

I would love to have mercury Saturn synastry help me edit my writing professionally. All that frustration focused on my work. Yes please, mark everything up. That's my idea of editing heaven. Guy#1 would make a great editor for my writing.

OP, I'm pretty sure I just rambled and totally forgot your question.

No, no other Saturn aspects except Sun trine Saturn and Saturn sextile Mars. His Saturn falls into my 7th house, Pisces.

Also, sag_stellium- it seems like there's a ton of negative energy between you two. Do you attribute more to the negative pluto aspects or the saturn/merc aspect?

The pluto power struggles (he's pluto) definitely lead to the Saturn mercury activation (he is saturn). I have pretty much given up and moved on. But I say this literally every month, so I wouldn't take it too seriously

I don't see us going anywhere though. This is just one of those mutual chemistry things that has to be forced to die.

I hope it goes well for you!
