Personal experience - i've never known a neptune-venus (even good aspects) last that long, there is always deception or unrequited love.

Thank you, Indigo,

I loved your comment. <3

She goes along with what she knows is often untrue, even unlawful for the good of what principles (SATURN) she holds -- usually for her kids.

The whole thing is a brilliant examination of the little lies we tell each other, and the extent to which we'll stay in denial in order to 'keep living the dream'.

I've never seen the Sopranos but now that you've described it, I'm happy it's on TV. I think too much is expected of people in marriage, and that absolute fidelity and openness and are rare (everyone has crushes and secrets.) But still it's easy for me to lapse into guilt about my shortcomings.

Natally, I have 5H Venus conjunct Neptune and Venus trine 12H Saturn. Long-lasting dreaming.

YES, concern for my children has kept me with my husband at low points when I would have left otherwise. He and I are getting along well nowadays, but we wouldn't have made it this far, if we didn't have kids.

Interesting that you and your husband also have Venus square Neptune and cVenus-Saturn. You two seem like an amazing couple, I know you have an unconventional marriage and support each other through all kinds of experiences.

Will delete this later.

Faith,

your Venus-Saturn-interaspect wins out by a long shot.

Personally I wouldnīt even count the VEnus-Neptune-square or just in very general terms, it is not "acute" and hence will not really bring any damage, though maybe some vague dreaminess might still be felt; however if something feels really dreamy, I suppose it must be due to other Neptunian configurations in your charts.
A square with Neptune (or Pluto or Uranus for that matter) with an orb of 6 degrees is VERY wide. (for synastry - imo just at the outer range of validity)

Allowing an orb of 6 degrees, your husband will share the Venus-Neptune-square with anyone born within about 6 years. Everyone born on any day in these 6 years would have that aspect with him.
Now it is more than unlikely that he will experience Neptunianness with every single soul from this generation, even only counting those he actually meets.

For it to mean anything personal, other things have to come into play, to personalize such a wideorbed aspect (actually that is true for pretty much all aspects involving outer planets, even at smaller orbs).

His Saturn on your Venus and squaring his own Venus - now that is a different matter, much more personal and specific.

I count up to 6 degrees for most planets and major aspects, so I say I have Venus conjunct Neptune (6 orb) and hope no one thinks I'm lying. And I think I did feel that at work in synastry (Venus conjunct Neptune) when I dated men my age. The readings fit.

But I agree with you, it's probably other factors to blame for any Neptune overload. Maybe my husband's sun-Uranus overlaid in my 12H, with his Mars-Pluto-Mercury in my first house, like a pair of all-seeing eyes

And I get exhausted with it, wanting more privacy and room to be myself.

If you have Sun opposition Neptune in synastry is it felt in a similar way to Venus/Neptune? As in I (the Sun) would be deceived by my partner (Neptune)?

Faith,

6 degree is a valid orb, yes.
(shown by the fullmoon every month ).

Still an orb on the outer range, well, most astrologers allow wider orbs for natals than for synastry anyway.

If you send me your data (can you believe I donīt have your data? lol), I can have a look what strengthens the Neptunian vibe. Usually there is omething else adding to it.

For example an actor, who shall remain unnamed cause everyone knows his name anyway. , has a Venus-Neptune conjunction at 6.55 and a Mars-Neptune conjunction at 7.06

Despite these being on a wider range of orb, I still think it is VERY noteably in his personality/ performance/appearance, but this is not because he has a wide conjunction, but because how these wide conjunctions are configrued with his ASC.

Venus conjunct ASC 3.23
Neptune conjunct ASC 3.31

Which means his ASC is conjuncts his Venus/Neptune-mp with an orb of 0.04

(also his Neptune is on his Venus/Mars-mp 0.04)

I believe in this example it is the pattern with the ASC that makes the Neptune vibe so strongly with Venus and Mars (plus Mars and Neptune in 12th house). (and ASC)

And usually when people heavily identify with wide orbed generational aspects, something like that is always at play. At least I havenīt seen it otherwise.

Personally I even find my 5 degree Mars-Neptune-conjunction on the wide side, yet identify strongly with it. But same pattern as in that actor`s chart happens as a matter of fact.

My ASC is conjunct both and sitting on the Mars/Neptune-mp with an orb of 0°27, which is still close enough for a midpoint picture.
