I've been looking at some synastry charts and I can't decide. Esp when knowing the couple's history. Of course, the whole chart needs to be taken into account but I can't help wanting to draw a conclusion that while Mars conj Venus = solid, stable attraction Mars square Venus = volatile but passionateMars opposite Venus = initial attraction that leads to eventual dissappointment. Especially if there are no other harmonious aspects like Venus trine Mars or maybe Mars trine Moon. There was this synastry chart in which the only "sexy" aspect was his Mars opp her Venus: the girl said she was super attracted but the sex turned out to be bad because they wanted totally different things. It was like they felt passion for each other but they were ultimately not compatible as lovers. Any takers? I've never had this aspect so I have zero practical experience. IP: Logged |

Problematic. I have this with two people. 1st person. My nMars conj their nVenus in Taurus. By progression my pVenus opposite their nMars in Cappy. I've never wanted to have sex with this person, although we argue a lot. For years I refused to look at the synastry for fear I might see something uncomfortable. After I summarily stopped liking them I looked. meh. 2nd Person. My nMars opposite their nVenus in Scorpio. By progression my pMars opposite their pVenus in Sagittarius. I used to be attracted to this one, and wanted to go all the way. However their idea of sex didn't appeal to me once they started talking - sounded selfish and one sided. That and they ended on the wrong side of a political dispute. 3rd Person. We have a natal opposition, but nothing by progression. A Libra that likes getting along with others. Sexy to think about, but a pain to interact with. Such a pain. IP: Logged |

I think you really have to look at both person's respective MARS - the sign, house placement, lordship, then check overlays and aspects, before trying to single in on aspects to VENUS. MARS determines a person's passion "style". VENUS tosses "relationship" into the bundle. You might be great as a love-dove pair, but have incompatible ideas about sexy-times.IP: Logged |

Seexyyy!!But if it's the only "sexy" aspect, of course the chances for compatibility are slim. Apart from the conjunction, some trines between Yin/Yang planets or even Mars/Mars, Venus/Venus are supportive for sexual compatibility. ------------------
