My partner and I have our Moons in each of our respective 8th houses in our synastry.

Is this just way too much heavy emotion going on?

Adding fuel to the fire, my Moon is in Scorpio. His is in Taurus.

In our natals, my Moon is very well aspected, and his is completely unaspected.

How do you feel the emotions in this relationship?

I have MOON (Aries) opposite PLUTO (1º) with it in my 8H. My MOON (also in SCO) is in his 12H, and sextile his PLUTO.

I feel as though it's intense, but the type of intensity is not mutual.

I am a very outspoken, very honest, wear my heart on my sleeve type of person who is not afraid AT ALL to discuss my feelings and he is the complete opposite. He keeps his feelings inside and reveals himself only when he feels comfortable or when he feels it is necessary. He doesn't seem to know how to express himself very well. A true "when he says it he means it" type. However I do sense an underlying tie to me that he doesn't make obvious. I am a rather predictable person - don't stray too far from my routines and this coupled with my outspoken emotion I think brings him some comfort. I think if I were to shake things up and start acting outside of the norm it would make him terribly uneasy.
