Hello everyone. I'm investigating Saturn's role in synastry and the natal chart for the LindaLand Reference Library. For the RL post, I need to curate the BEST external links + LL threads and comments about Saturn's role in synastry, the composite, and of course the natal chart. If anyone is experienced with Saturn in astrological readings and would like to offer 1-3 paragraphs about Saturn's role in life and love, please contribute here. I'm seeking info from seasoned astrologers and psychics, but anyone can add something - I'll select the best comments for the RL. Also, if anyone is up for the less interesting task of searching LL's archives and helping me find interesting threads on Saturn, I would appreciate it! Thanks everyone. ------------------ “Put your ear down close to your soul and listen hard.” ― Anne Sexton IP: Logged |

I found this post by iQ on Saturn in Leo:"Saturn and Sun are "enemies" in terms of Saturn ruling Aquarius and opposing Leo. Same logic holds for Saturn ruling Capricorn and opposing Cancer. However, Saturn "restricts" the potential of the sign it occupies. Cancer is a pessimistic, introverted Sign. There is no harm in Saturn restricting a bit of that behavior. Leo however is a positive, optimistic, extroverted, generous Sign. Saturn here extinguishes the Fire of Leo. It humbles the people here, it prevents them from attaining fame, or destroys them if they attain fame [and forget Saturn ] Saturn in Leo 5th is the worst of the worst placements, I should have worded my original statement this way, that Saturn in 5th Leo should not be wished even on enemies. This placement effect is akin to a cop whose hands are tied by his Superiors when a robber loots a bank in front of him. The native will have to suffer seeing selfish incompetents get ahead in life. His own success will come, in non-conformance [A bit of Aqua, the opposite sign] but it will always hurt him or her to not be able to help those in need, even as those who can help turn a blind eye. I know hundreds of people in my life with this aspect [nearly every classmate/schoolmate], and speak from experience. More to come about this important generational aspect." It's good to have various opinions, but I strongly disagree with the outdated demonization of Saturn. A manicheistic medieval view. Rubbish! sorry, I don't want to offend anyone. But I challenge everyone considering Saturn a "malefic" to present the overwhelming examples, because my experience shows otherwise.Saturn is a Task-master, which means refusing to learn its lesson will bring you pain. But who wants otherwise? Who wants a twisted universe without Saturn's just reward and punishment? And "condemning" people with Saturn in 5th or Saturn ruler of 5th to a life without love/joy, not to mention entire generations with Saturn in Leo is ridiculous.
Where Saturn sits in the chart, enduring results will be achieved and that's where you can find an evolutionary step. That's my contribution to your thread ------------------

I have a very strong Saturn, and I love this planet. For me there is no better truer planet than Saturn. I try to connect to it every time I am in trouble, as Saturn will always help you, if you do things right. It grounds you and makes things "correct". Fate and luck may be whimsical, but Saturn is always there to be counted upon, to give us discipline, strength, and detachment. Natally, I have Saturn in my 5th house trining my venus,in a very precise conjunction with Jupiter. I never really much liked jupiter, I relate it to things that you do not have to work for, and I respect hard work! But I like very much this conjunction I have of Saturn and Jupiter --I think it gives me strength and luck. Synastrically, it binds people. My mom and dad have very strong Saturn synastry and are indeed very bound to each other. IP: Logged |

Natal ly in have Saturn conjunct the IC. I've been paint close attention to my Saturn transits. Especially now since it's been in Scorpio squaring my Leo stellium in one Big Bang. I have Leo sun, moon, mercury and mars. Going back and looking at past events, Saturn has been my get your butt in gear. What ever house Saturn transits, I start to have a focus on that area, and working on improving it.. Honestly the transit square hasn't been bad at all. Since Saturn starting transiting my h8, I cleared all my debit, I am debit free!!! Then I wanted more, or well better for my self, so I started looking into if I was able to purchase a house. I did all my leg work and research, I applied for approval, I was approved.. I found a house, now I'm in the finals escrow stages... Yah me!!! I'm almost 42, ii will be moving into MY first owned house, just as Saturn will be exactly squaring my stellium., FYI, near my soloar return. It will be a challenge getting use to the difference, but it's a good challenge!! What I notice from Saturn, is IF you have your stuff together, you won't suffer, you will be rewarded. If you don't have it together, you will then suffer from it, so you can get it together! I've always worked hard, and always had a back up plan, for just in case, when these times happen, I had plan B to fall back on. I admit, the hardest Saturn transit was through my H7, relationships are my worst area.. The transit, super stead me from my hubby, and brought fishy to me.. It was all truly life changing... But so difficult..
