I have some kind of weird mental block when it comes to understanding Pallas. Intuitively, she seems to be far more important, perhaps especially in synastry, than the pattern recognition/problem solving/intelligence and female warrior interpretations she is usually given. I can't put my finger on it right now, but I remember reading somewhere that she often appears in marital synastries. If that is true, why? What would you make of an exact conjunction of his 6th House Jupiter to my 12th House Pallas at 23 Scorpio? The Sabian is: After Having Heard An Inspired Individual Deliver His "Sermon On The Mount," Crowds Are Returning Home Given that some mythologies say she was born (without a mother) from her father Jupiter's head? And that Jupiter is my Chart Ruler? And his 7th House Ruler? IP: Logged |

Indeed, Pallas figures strongly in long-term relationships (marriages). I'm not clear as to why, but I suppose it may be due to the fact that Pallas-Athena is a symbol for law, legal, legislated, lawful, official among many other things - so perhaps it shows a relationship is "official", integrated into a structure, like a "contract". Although Pallas means "wisdom" and the goddess herself was a maiden goddess. She is also the protector of cities and states, so of any long-term structure based on rules and laws. She is also a symbol for androgyny, so maybe this also counts. The father/daughter archetype may be a symbol for protection and parenthood. ------------------
I seem to have loved you in numberless forms... IP: Logged |

That makes sense. I've got a long article about the mythology of Pallas/Athene I will be reading to see if I come up with anything else. IP: Logged | |
