Mars sq Pluto (I am Pluto)

Saturn trine Neptune (don't even know what this means)

We both have earth moons/Mars and water Venus plus SN conj Saturn DW but it's out of orb. We do have flip flopped Asc/Dsc in Virgo/Pisces.

But we are SOOOOO serious and heavy, eventhough we joke and laugh a lot, it feels as if none of us will survive without the other, which we both know and struggle with desperately. Some days I feel so heavy I can barely move..

One day he said (and he knows NOTHING about astrology): you know, sometimes I think we have a "death love". That made me think of his Sun in my 8H and I kinda sorta knew what he meant.

What other things can make a synastry/composite like this?

Our Davidson doesn't have anything heavy, I think, unless Scorpio sun conj Asc, Merc and Neptune would make it that way? And that's the tightest orb in that chart.

That your personal planets seems to be in compatible elements is a HUGE thing too. People don't always notice this enough, cause if it doesn't make close aspect then whatever? But it IS very important I feel.
People who are just compatible in elements are just overall compatible, and probably always will be
You probably share the same "core-values" in life, or you have compatible views on them and relate to each other a lot.

Other things that can make synastry serious and heavy? Well saturn duuuh…. and jupiter can make it light too, but you don't have much of jupiter going on I suppose?

My ultimate closest friend has the same elements as me, we have flip-flopped ASC/DSC and sun conjunct pluto in scorpio. Many of my planets is in her 8th house. I actually made a similar statement about our relationship and called it a "cemetery relationship" because it will last to the end.

But somehow we have even gotten OVER the serious point, and we actually joke a lot. We can also have deep and serious conversations, but most of the time its me making fun of her being too serious lol. She is a scorpio with cap rising, so you can imagine how "deathly" she can look. I think I'm the only person in the world who can make fun of her, and she gives me that "death stare" but I know that inside she is laughing

HIs Saturn is right on my Jupiter, MC, SN and Chiron.....and Jupiter is my "culminating" planet.

My suggestion is, get to the root of it.

After 15 years, I've FINALLY begun to publicly investigate, here on LL, (in another thread) my own intensely karmic relationship which had been subconsciously influencing my life for a decade prior to actually meeting him. If you're used to 'lighter' relationships and associations which offer freedom and fun, a karmic one with outstanding debts and unfinished business will feel like weights strapped to you. You can't move as freely as you used to. There's a heaviness in the air, a sense of something not quite foreboding but not entirely auspicious, either.

For us, it's this bizarre Sisyphusian cycle of violence: murder, suicide, betrayal, obsession, suspicion, and revenge. The ideal recipe for a one-hour drama series. I just couldn't accept I was dealing with my ACTUAL karmic past, which continues to cycle in parallel -- here, there, and everywhere.

I doubt yours is quite so dramatic -- and it certainly need not be bleak. But getting to the root of the outstanding karma is the first step to being free of the heaviness, and able to part from the third dimension when it's time.

He and I've just begun to face so many of these things -- in odd parallel -- here in the present. Right now it feels less like the usual 'do or die', and more like ... fear. Uncharted territory. New circumstances. Not running -- for the first time. Not hurting each other. Not creating more negative karma and getting looped into the nightmare Groundhog Day again.
