You're spot on, Orange, it's freaky!!

I've experienced this, exactly.

Sadly, I was the house person and hopelessly in love, while the Venus person would not admit their feelings even though we both knew they did feel for me, just like I felt for them.. Actually, the guy told me "I love you, *insert my name here*" while we were in class, but we barely knew each other and I didn't know if he was being serious.. later on he denied it said it was a joke (but it wasn't). Long story short, we both loved each other but it didn't work out for various reasons (I suspect fear and insecurity was the main issue - karmic connection).
It was beautiful and tragic, and the deepest feelings I ever had.

I used to dream about them a lot. Now it doesn't happen that often but I can say that as the house person, I'm almost always affected by someone who has Venus in my 12th and if it aspects some of my planets. I am fascinated by them, and the love I feel is otherworldly. Sigh..

The descriptions of 12th house Venus in synastry always ring true for me, but I'm always the house person, so it totally sucks being so affected by someone who hides their feelings. [/QUOTE]

The 12th person has no idea what the Venus person is feeling/thinking and even if the Venus is gun-pressed to admit their feelings, the 12th house person still would doubt it.
Otherwise, the love they feel for each other can be magical, selfless and unconditional but in most cases - no one is ever aware of what the other is feeling or is super suspicious and mistrustful even if Venus opens up and pours it..

After reading these two posts I just bursted in to tears.
Why it has to be so complicated?

((( its_aqua )))

I'm sorry you're in pain.

Venus in the 12th was the most painful experience I've ever had.
The wound hasn't fully healed, and probably never will.

Please, do something that could make you feel better.
Maybe write him a letter, you don't have to send it.. Considering he's taken, things are really complicated.

*bear hugs* to you.
You're not alone <3

I was the Venus in my 12th house synastry case. The guy had no clue whatsoever. I don't know why I never let him know. I guess there was this underlying, subconscious feeling that a relationship with him wouldn't be right.
I am well over him by now but I do remember the feelings were absolutely overwhelming to the point I was choking on them.

This could be true, but I'm not sure. We both have Venus in each other's 12th house (father of my kids). I guess one would have to look at each other's natal charts as well. The unconditional love could be true though.

Ok Spanish lover, it doesn't have to be doomed but there are some insights that I wish I had before and during the encounter, not after..

I had it where I was the house person. At first the Venus person was just a friend even though we were mutually attracted, but it felt like he was just cool, mysterious and keeping composure like everyone said before. Then it became something more... but as the House person (me) could not comprehend Venus or understand whether he had much, if any, true feelings, it was a brief summer affair.

Until four years later I got a long email from the Venus person that he never forgot what we had for a day of his life after, and want to try it out to see where it takes us. However I was already involved with someone, even though I felt the same way as the 12th person all those years. And all I got from the Venus person before this turning point was only an annual "hi, happy birthday" on Facebook or in Email, plus one platonic lunch in two years when he came back from law school!

You can imagine the shock and disbelief the house person went through when venus drops the L bomb so suddenly. Then the dark side of the house person played out as well: I became doubtful of the sudden intensity because I never saw it coming, and Venus got impatient for eventually pouring his heart out.

If you want things to work in the Venus 12th sitch... then I say Venus should be more transparent and let go of their feelings of wanting to mask their intentions, the 12th person should have more faith and belief in both Venus and themselves, and Venus should be patient and not be embarrassed or feel rejected and hide again when the 12th person hesitates. Think of the 1st house and the Sun, just keep on shining and keep it bright.

Best of luck.

Also, just wondering if anyone noticed there are always a sense of "secrecy" with a Venus in 12th synastry? Like clandestine affairs?

For instance when Venus came around the second time I had a bf so the feelings I felt were obviously kept silent; Moreover since Venus was a friend in my circle I decided not to mention to any of my close friends about him coming back in my life....Sigh and hugs for everyone who experienced Venus in 12th...

A close friend I went to school with has Venus conjunct the cusp of my twelfth house. When I first met her, we got along alright. Then, her personality changed and we clashed on certain things/argued a lot. I don't know what the explanation is. Just that it's twelfth house :S

Maybe the paranormal's involved

In my case Im the 12th house Orange.
I dont really know whats going on in his head but I cant believe it has all ended from his side.
The other day he kept staring at me for a lot of hour and the next day when I was drunk I tried talking to him but he left telling me I was drunk.

Its so frustrating really.

I think it depends on the aspects.

I am the house person. My boyfriend is the venus person. His mercury is also in my 12th house.

His venus and mercury conjunct my gemini sun in my 12th house and his mercury and venus also conjuncts my cancer north node in the 12th house.

Plus we are both gemini suns. And my mercury is in gemini.

Hes very verbal and expresses how he feels and is affectionate.

Dont know maybe it depends on the aspects.

I saw a guy who's Venus was in my 12th house and my Venus was in his 12th house.

We had strong chemistry and we had a lot of things to talk about, and we liked each other's appearances and everything. He even said, "Marry me" the first time we talked because we understood each other so well. Things were going well as we were getting to know each other (had 2 very dates and many long conversations, I even spent the night at his house because I got locked out of mine and he gave me his bed and slept on the couch). We were comfortable with each other but then suddenly, out of the blue, his behavior changed and he ignored me. I asked him about that and since things obviously changed on his end, he should just tell me in all honesty to end it. He lied and said he didn't change anything but he's had some emotional baggages that popped up. He did say he'd like to see me again and look forward to it. That never happened and he messaged me with a simple, "I don't think it's gonna work" a week later. I suspect that his ex-bf came back to trap him in some way which was what lead to his sudden silence towards me and he couldn't bring himself to tell me what the truth was.

Needless to say, it "did not work out" but the reasons were rather vague and mysterious. I gave him many opportunities to be honest with me and just flat out reject me. He couldn't do it... he chose to remain vague because I don't think he decided freely to not see me anymore. He kept texting me saying he will call me but he never kept his word. I think something forced him to take the course of action he did...which I think it has something to do with his ex and that she could be pregnant and try to trap him with a child. I think he didn't want to lead me on, but he didn't want to totally reject me, either. I had wanted him to flat out reject me, just because that's the easiest way to get over someone is to clearly say NO to them.

He took a long time to release me and when he did do it, it wasn't even clear. He couldn't say he lost interest, he couldn't say he didn't like me, he couldn't even say he didn't want to see me, but all he could muster up was a vague, "I don't think this is gonna work."

I cried over this for over a week and have been mourning the lost of what it felt like losing a soulmate (if there is such thing). I saw us having fun together, and growing old together. He's an old fashioned and responsible kind of guy... I think he was hard pressed to choose a former responsibility or the possibility of happiness with a new one and his greater sense of duty went with the former.

Damn, Orange. I've gotta say, you've nailed it -- in terms of my experience.

Any thoughts on my MARS in his 12H? Funny that it's his VENUS overlaying my 12H, and my MARS in his 12H.

My husband has a 12th House Venus natally, but we are the same rising sign, so that puts his Venus in my 12th.

For me, I always feel like he is hiding something from me. Like worry he is hiding a relationship from me, but it's never true, he never is (he's like a puppy dog). I've read somewhere that sometimes Venus in the 12th can give the house person the feeling that the Venus person can't be trusted or is being secretive even if they aren't.

He is EXTREMELY mysterious to me, that is why I fell in love with him. The first time I laid eyes on him I was enamored. He has a VERY tight venus/moon conj on his ascendant so he just looks like a total dreamboat. Think South American James Dean.

His venus in my 12th actually gave me some strong venus/12th energy that I still deal with in our marriage. Illusions, illusions, illusions. It certainly feels like a permanent transit for me. We have definitely had our issues, but he's my love and I adore him

Actually the handful of times I've dreamed about him (I dont dream about him much), he's always been just out of my reach. He's with someone else, or just doesn't want me, but I think that is less astrology and more my own insecurities He also can be EXTREMELY selfish, and I say that with love. That is in ANY relationship, he has a hard time seeing the other person's side.
