If a couple came to you with a GREAT synastry and a TERRIBLE Composite and wanted your advice about marriage, what would you say? Thanks!

I haven't seen one of those yet

Could you post an example?

I've seen a so-so synastry and a "bad" or "good" composite, but never a great synastry and a bad composite.

Plus, bad or good is very relative when it comes to a composite, since a composite is a midpoint of the synastry, so there are no general interpretations for aspects in the composite. Only for rulers.

It is from someone on here and I don't want to post it for privacy reasons.

The synastry was out of this world great and the Comp was terrible.

I told the person the truth but it was a strange situation lol

I would say that no one should ever base major life decisions on an astrological chart, and that there is no such thing as a "good" or "bad" chart. There are easier charts and more challenging charts. I would also say that the person might want to seek a second opinion (I think that is an ethical obligation in any field when one is delivering "bad" news, but particularly in one where interpretations vary as much as they do in astrology).

I donīt believe in good synastry vs bad composite, as the composite is a result of the synastric aspect-gestalt.
What I do believe is that we may not yet know to decipher what is a good and a bad composite, at least not in isolation.
Squares do not make a bad composites for example. Well some squares might, but it depends on what synastric aspects they are based.

So DM.... If you are one of them.

How did this play out for you if I may ask?

Could you feel the synastry and the composite?

One before the other? Simultaneously?

If you don't mind. What things stood out for you?

First looking at the synastry...

Very interesting synastry, DM. Very nice, but a little poisonous fruit

The same interception superposed, with major activation on one side only. Plus, the guy's interception, is 2nd/8th - understanding/expression of intimacy/commitment comes later in life.

His deep needs - in order to express his 2nd/8th side - are in Aqua or Leo - no direct there, so we look at Uranus and Sun. Sun is nicely aspected by the girl, but still, I think it needs a late Pisces badly. Looking at Uranus...here comes the possible flop: Uranus gets away at some point, also suggested by the nodal position - a "fake" cross and no direct overlays in his 7th or 3rd. Just a tiny little to the left to align with girl Venus/MC/IC and things would have been different. And interestingly enough, girl Venus alone in the cold. Overstimulated at first, but then her own needs aren't met either. That's where the crack in this synastry is.

Still, an Aries Sun is great for this guy

Tell me if I'm out of space here or shall I move to the comp?

I'm on the inside. I felt both, synastry first, composite later. I thought we had a very good interaction, but the relationship in itself was not going anywhere.

Ah! I am sorry LeeLoo, I was having a bad headache when I posted, I forgot to mention his TOB is a guess. We all know I suck at those. He is probably Virgo rising, because most of my boyfriends have been. I guess he looks like one too. Sorry that I ruined your analysis with my omission.

It was one of my easiest, effortless relationships. We got together quickly and we progressed pretty fast too. We met online, and on our first date I took him to a rock concert, then to a hotel room - just to sleep. I have always felt safe, protected around him, he treated me the way I have always wanted to be treated. We never had one single argument. He gave me the best sex of my life , I bow down to Virgo Marses, they sure know what they're doing - all that attention to detail and technicality pays off! lol Unfortunately my issues prevented me to enjoy all that to the fullest, but that was on me. Others have tried, but he came closest. It was also my first open relationship ever - I am strictly monogamous otherwise. And at my suggestion too, which surprised me more than it surprised him. I was in an experimental phase I guess. I have always felt free to be whomever I was or wanted to be, accepted and supported unconditionally in everything I did, by him. I am sure our Moons are close enough to be conjunct because we became domestic pretty fast, cooking together, shopping for groceries etc.

The relationship however didn't live to see it's 3rd month birthday. It also receives the price for the easiest break-up I ever had. Mutual decision, elegant, funny and affectionate even. I think I could have stayed in it longer (I was sort of the initiator), but I was afraid he was falling in love with me and while I was very, very fond of him, I didn't love him.

Why it didn't work:
1. He was a law school graduate but had little or no ambition and worked jobs much beneath his potential. I am an ambitious career woman, I needed someone like me.
2. I wanted a family and kids, he didn't. Major deal breaker. He told me from the very beginning, we had the most honest, open communication I have ever had. From a lot of pov's, this relationship provided me with the type of interaction that I would like to have with my perfect partner.. but he wasn't it.
3. We were both into s/m at that time, but on a similar team. Meaning we were both yangs and desired yins. So our relationship was almost entirely vanilla (well he liked me a lot and tried to humor me but it was obvious he wasn't enjoying it so it killed my joy too), which was kind of a problem because even though it was GOOD (very good), we both wanted.. something different - at that time. lol Hence why we dated other people. But that didn't work either and since the marriage/kids thing was not going to happen and basically it wasn't going anywhere.. we ended it.
