Or, Chiron in the first house, in a synastry overlay.

Anyone have any info or experiences to share?

I'm researching it this morning and will post whatever I find.

Q:
quote:
I have always wondered what chiron conjunct someone’s ascendant would mean.

A:

quote:
If the Chiron person is still stuck in the feeling that there’s something “wrong” with them, the AC person may feel very uncomfortable around them. But either way, Chiron conjunctions to the AC can be magnetic (at least initially) for both.

quote:
When Chiron is prominent in a synastry, particularly if it makes conjunctions to relationship planets or hits an angle, both people are drawn into the relationship because the healing vibe is strong for both parties. We sense that something is missing in our lives, and we want it back, now. We may not recognize Chiron’s pull as a healing vibe, but we get the sense that this relationship is the only thing that can make us feel whole again, just in the place where we feel most empty and forlorn. This is very seductive. The other person promises to become the vehicle for all the transforming powers, our own personal conduit between the earth and the stars and back again. This person can deliver the goods that I didn’t think I would/could ever get. It’s not the illusion of spiritual melding that Neptune implies, or Uranus’s promise of perpetual stimulation. The initial vibe with Chiron contacts is deliverance: this person appeared in my life specifically to take me where I need to go. The implied thought being: ‘and I don’t have to be hungry anymore. This relationship is the answer. The Struggle Bus stops here.’

Chiron contacts are powerful and passionate at first, with the combined promise of innate hungers fulfilled and innate flaws mended. There is also a physical, earthy element to Chiron that taps into his animal nature, and Chiron contacts can be highly sexual. Like any planet or asteroid in the chart, Chiron has his good and bad side, and Chiron contacts indicate that a great deal of healing can be achieved. Unfortunately, the process involves hitting all the most sensitive, painful buttons whilst trying not to lose love for one another. Chiron can be a real test of the depth of feeling between two people, because the hurt, usually, is inadvertent. I’m not so much targeting you in a Plutonian way as I am constantly, accidentally, shredding your heart, because I can’t help it. Chiron contacts can be remarkably long-lived as well, depending on how much we have associated pain with love.

What begins of as a promise of wholeness often ends with a ruthless tearing–real healing can occur only when whatever is festering inside can be cleansed. Only then can a wound be closed. Chiron-dominant relationships provide this soul-searing. Without this cleansing, we cannot have the kind of inner balance that translates to spiritual strength. I’ve often noticed with Chiron-dominant relationships that one partner is more conscious and aware than the other, and it is this more aware partner who suffers the most from the partnership. Chiron, the wise healer and teacher, is always pushing us towards the awareness of what is best in us, and guiding us away from what is holding us back. This is Chiron the maker of heroes, who allows us to see the god within.

Hmm...this must be applicable, to some extent:

quote:
In summation of Chiron as a bridge: this image serves to connect the power of the outer planets and the ordering principle of the traditional planets, often appearing in our lives as an actual person who serves as a mentor to facilitate that creative process; but when that bridge is strained, it can allow volatility, chaos and primitive behavior to override one’s consciousness, and it can manifest, instead, as the animal in each of us.

....

On a different note, in addition to the wound and a bridge, I propose another image for Chiron – the kiss. This image is borrowed from the novel, “The Hours,” by Michael Cunningham. Those readers, who are familiar with it or its film version, know the three main characters use a kiss, not romantically, but as an attempt to connect with another human being, thereby breaking their existential alienation.

This kind of kiss is not the yearning of Neptune and His spiritual transcendence, nor the craving of Pluto and His passion; but rather a need to look deep into the eyes of another and connect with the soul as though to ask, “Are you there? Do you know what I know?” That kiss might, might be another manifestation of Chiron.

Hello Faith,

I've some more here.... well, I guess it might be instructive for myself also, having a Chiron/Asc conjunction at 1 deg, where I am Chiron... but I'm not sure if I can relate to the below as being Chiron
Are you Chiron?

quote:
A chiron conjunct descendant, mars, jupiter, sun some of the aspects that I have seen in these synastries. I have also seen that chiron conjunct ascendant in synastry is very effective. Chiron is the pain and vulnerability. It is the pain that we want to get rid of. It is the pain that is felt by a baby who cries for everything not just for milk. Babies are sensitive and they can only cry. Chiron is our indolent baby. We need to nurse it but not pamper it. We need to heal it not conceal it. Concealment only grows the pain. Healing is opening the wound and getting it operated. But opening of the wound gives a life-threatening pain although it might just be imaginary.

ANGLES CONJUNCT CHIRON SYNASTRY

Planet and angle connections to chiron in synastry can be exhausting for the angle/planet person. For example, I have seen the chiron conjunct descendant synastry that brought a pain in the life of the DC person. This relationship involves the dc person had to heal the chiron from near death experience, (chiron in scorpio), through inheritance issues, debts and losses. The DC person opened the gateway of security, material possessions and family values along with growth to the Chiron person through the relationship. (chiron in dc opposes ac in taurus).

In the reverse case scenario, where the chiron conjuncts asc in synastry, the sheer meeting of these two can start the healing process of the chiron person. The asc person is the literal doctor here without even the awareness of the asc person. The chiron person finds his vulnerability being brought out on the surface. I have studied an example, in which the asc person found the chiron person to be extremely emotional, nurturing and wounded due to lack of "family and paternal love".

The chiron person who has pluto and sun conjunction in the first house never appears to be "vulnerable or nurturing" to anyone other than her (asc). On top of it, he has the conjunction in Scorpio so you can imagine the intensity.

But this guy is totally vulnerable whenever he meets her. She brings out his chiron in cancer that speaks about his vulnerability about "nurturing". He lacks the feeling of being nurtured since, his father passed away. The guy played tough and plays tough all the time falling on his house of capricorn or the 10th house where he is forced to play a career oriented guy . Upon meeting this girl, his vulnerabilities came tumbling upon but due to a lot of distant planets they separated unofficially or without speaking a word.

He became more career oriented and directed his pain in his career making an extremely good career with public fame for himself.

Hey, I'd been thinking of making a thread about Chiron synastry! Thanks for the thread!

Ouch. Impossible to get around your pain, isn't it? Chiron contacts bring up so much...

Anyway, I haven't had any experience with Chiron in my 1st house as far as I know, but I do agree with the general comments here I've read about the planet person losing their filter around the house person. So with Chiron in your first house, I imagine Chiron would be more comfortable with opening up to you about their own sore spot. Or you might step on it by accident.

I know your Ascendant, so you'd have it in Leo - problems about expressing yourself, not getting the attention they want, the dad, children or just ego blows in general.

If it's you as Chiron, then just read it the other way around.

Does that fit?

Thanks for the comments

Yo, Rie...what were you going to ask about Chiron, specifically? ETA: Whoops, sorry-- I just found your thread.

Well I think it's kind of instructive to look at natal charts with Chiron Ascendant aspects to get a feel for the potential of this energy's integrated expression. Neil Young has this aspect. His ability to speak to and access the core of our beings through song and performance is totally amazing.

For me this search began when I noticed our composite Chiron conjunct my partner's Ascendant. It's under 2 degrees opposite my Sun/Moon midpoint too. I really appreciate this thread and your considered research.

I think it does , and I think it also does both.... because it's coming from that place of awareness of vulnerability. It's wisdom without pretense. It's wisdom which is alive and vital and raw and accessible through experience. I think usually it's Chiron who is doing the healing and the revealing of the issues which surround the planet or point... but I know too that the planet person activates Chiron's awareness of that sacred wound and opens the portal which if successfully passed through (we must pass right through that pain! No side stepping!), then we emerge on the other side soul cleansed and truly grateful for everything which has ever happened because it gives us such wisdom..

I think the potential for mutual healing are great, if the Chiron is not debilitated. Even if Chiron is debilitated, healing will happen, but it may be one sided and it will be done through mostly pain.

My mom's chiron conjuncts my AC and squares my sun. She can get under my skin, I get very intense with her and am very reactive to her, this aspect could be partially why. Is also true that I see her wound very clearly and the impact it has had on her and there are moments were I want to heal that wound for her and connect with her inner child and my inner nourishing parent comes out and those are my favorite moments with her when is just her and nothing else and I want to pamper and nourish her, very sweet moments like that, two extreme sides to this aspect I suppose. Either my inner hurt child comes out intensely and is reactive, hurtful in speaking her truth and need to be heard or my inner nourishing parent wants to nourish her and pamper her with love and sweetness.

If there is one person I feel I lose control with is her, I get intense with her but with others calm and collected. I remember my cousin once commenting I act very different when I am not around her.

Chiron hard aspects in synastry I think are too intense but soft aspects may be more helpful and constructive.

I would say her Chiron on my AC alters the expression of my ascendant making me reactive instead of that easy going happy go lucky ascendant I typically may project. I am hyper aware of her wound and its impact on her personality and is like when I interact with her I see it, her wound in the works and how it impacts how she interacts with me and others which makes me get annoyed and reactive. But those moments were is just her without the wound influencing her and is just her free and vulnerable in a good way I feel very close and connected to her.

Is also true her chiron on my AC maybe makes me over focus on her chiron which is perhaps not fair to her. It also has made me feel I have to work around her wound so to speak which is not fair to me either.

i had a simliar situation in which his chiron was conjunct my ascendant at 0 degrees. he told me about his terrible childhood right in the middle of the day, during a smoke break, at work, when we were just acquaintances. few months later when i brought that up, he had no memory of telling me such a story and couldn't believe that he did so. i was hurt by him in the long run so i decided to hurt him back using that story against him.
tight chiron synastry is a mess.

Yep! My current partner's ASC is conjunct my Chiron/South Node.

This has been a VERY healing relationship. Yes there is pain to work through, but in our case it has been a lot of past story pain that becomes re-triggered in this connection. But, beautifully, ends up being a perfect place to work through it and feel better about everything afterward. The relief of letting things go is palpable.
