But let's start at the relative beginning.

Though I wouldn't know it for many years, I was living a similar incredible experience, starting with the story's inception January 2001. I would meet many who were 'involved', either by actual or surrogate karma, but I wouldn't meet him until nearly a decade later, January 2010, in Los Angeles, California. My destiny slowly, but surely, took me to Hollywood. Unsurprising, really, as I know story and writing. With my education in psychology (forensic, actually), I know writers, too.

The ending (SPOILER ALERT) of the aforementioned film, was always curious to me. It would seem the writer, Scott Frank, was asserting the only way to successfully negate the story's power (namely, the confusion and fear felt by its protagonists) was to reveal the big bad and prove the innocence of the first protagonist in one pulled punch. Worked for the film, but, as a writer, I can see the potential consequences that has for a person.

Specifically now, for me.

As I've stated here in the subject, there's no twist ending. No pulled punches. That came about in the strangest way, too. Where, honestly, I'd least expected it.

We all run our synastry; as astrologers, it's a matter of course. I'm no exception. It took me awhile to really delve, and the summer of 2013 presented that opportunity, as the tNODES aligned with synastric, sidereal-tropical-Draco conjunctions, at 22º and 23º ARIES. Degrees, I'd discover, are crucial to understanding.

Levels of understanding, mind. Many of them.

SATURN IN THE 8TH HOUSE OVERLAY

'In extreme circumstances, SATURN may be responsible for the death of the 8th House.'

Now I'd like to come right out and clarify, I'm NOT stating, nor even hypothesising that every instance of an 8H overlay is indicative of homicide -- whether present or past. It has been discovered to be 'implicated', we'll say, in enough charts for the delineation to carry some weight. Otherwise, interpretations such as the one offered by Lonake from anecdotal evidence (personal experience) can readily apply: suspicion, 'surprising lustfulness', over-analysis, and a general sense of mistrust.

The Saturn person was suspicious of H8 person, feeling like they had to keep a close eye on them. Will get close to H8 person, but found it hard to get the intimacy ... underlying feeling that they had to get H8 completely figured out, analyzing their motives/actions ... [not a placement] easily trusting in synastry, from the Saturn person's perspective. The H8 person is more open to them, the Saturn person reads the H8 person's openness as somewhat of a weakness, like an invitation to dive into the deepest parts of H8, so their manner to H8 can be surprising. Surprisingly paranoid, surprisingly lustful ... if it's romantic, the Saturn person found it difficult to approach the H8 person in a direct manner; their feelings for them exist in a murky atmosphere where nothing is obvious, so the romantic approach often took H8 person by surprise ... there's a feeling of wanting to hold H8 person captive ... H8 person has good insight into Saturn's insecurities, but Saturn finds it difficult to drop the paranoia and let H8 person in.

In my blunt personal experience, I've discovered her observations rather applicable to the relationship with my Twin, in whose 8H I have my SATURN. Shoe's on the other foot there. As to my partner experiencing all that Lonake has stated, I can neither confirm nor deny that. Intimately speaking, he is reticent to the point of denial -- period. I was certainly no exception.

Rather from my experience, with my partner's SATURN in my 8H, circumstances most definitely arose to where I was being overcome with paranoia, inexplicable fear, and a constant sense of unexplained foreboding. Imminent terror.

Did I feel that at the beginning? Yes. Being honest with myself, I had. But there's a reason for that.

The SATURN/8H overlay can also indicate past life karma in need of resolution. And for all intents and purposes, from the moment that we met, I felt the heavy hand of Fate.

But that's not actually the beginning. The REAL start was 'meeting' Penderan Fauste for the first time, 27 January 2001. It all flowed from there.

At 10:06 AM, in University Park, Texas, the concept for Hunting Alice was born, as I began consolidating the conversation I'd had with my unwitting co-creator an hour before. Certain characters readily appeared to me from the ideas and general storylines we'd discussed.

From this Event Chart, it's plain to see what, and why.

The MOON is conjunct ALICE in 12H, an indication of the karma that would be revealed at work underneath; especially as it's trine the NNODE in the 4H, in its dispositor. Continuing the theme, LEWISCARROLL and ALMA are 2º conjunct in the 1H, with MADHATTER-SNODE (1º) in the 10H.

Quite easy to see what the theme is from this alone! But it goes from eerie to flabbergasting quickly.

Most remarkably, the asteroid chosen to represent the character's given name, PENDERECKI, (literally meaning 'the state of being Pender' which originates from the Latin: 'pendere' -- to suspend; to 'be pending') which works perfectly for me -- is prominently placed.

The protagonist, Riley Wingate, was not absent from the chart, either. While not rising, we find RILEYENNIS, (a latter addition, like PENDERECKI, which has been equally tested with wonderful -- even astonishing -- results) perilously positioned in 7H and hugging the 8C with TISIPHONE and PREY.

Words cannot describe how spot-on that is for my courageous and deeply cathartic heroine. In fact, RILEY and ALICE are parallel. Not only that, they're parallel my nSUN, too.

At the planetary level, SATURN and JUPITER are making a 6º conjunction. Doesn't mean a lot to you unless you were born with a 6º SATURN-JUPITER conjunction, as I was. There's a clear synchronicity to the tSATURN trine my nJUPITER (2º) with tJUPITER trine my nSATURN (1º). They're also stationed with PENDERECKI, which is conjunct my nSATURN (1º).

I did not know the original title, but boy, has THIS been haunting me for a while!

But there is only one individual, and it is not Mr Sag, whose existence alone makes me feel as if some karmic program is being activated.
Whom I respond(ed) to in completely irrational ways, totally unfounded on this physical incarnation (hey we did not even meet, sharing a long look from stage to audience does not count I suppose ), and yet, if there is some individual I suspect heavy heavy heavy karma with, then it`s him.

Penderecki?

Well, but interestingly my Saturn conjuncts his SN exactly in both our 8th houses (Cancer) and opposing his Jupiter exact. While his Saturn is widely conjunct my SN by 5 degrees in our 7th housese (Gemini) and rather widely squaring my Jupiter (4 degrees).

Natally my Jupiter is widely trine Saturn (5-6 degrees), his Jupiter is quinkunx saturn (2 degrees).

With these it seems we tick the same boxes as in your example, Auby! Isn`t that interesting?

As for Penderecki

Whoa! Penderecki is on 16 Leo in my own chart, in 8th house, conjunct Cupido widely at 19 Leo and opposing Moon on 17 Aquarius.

For all I know, 'Penderan' is more of a state of being or presence rather than an actual name. Nonetheless, that's the name. And it's WAY too known now to ever change.

Oddly fitting for a Hatter, no? Pending. 'Suspended'. Automatically related to time. Perhaps, like MADHATTER has a multidimensional feel, PENDERECKI is also related to time in some capacity; a state of unfolding. Pending.

Are you a fan of Krzysztof Penderecki's experimental musical style? It's important to first do a process of elimination, as it's technically a name asteroid. But, like many skyrocks, it really does hold multiple meanings and interpretations. So far, I'm seeing:

+ Name asteroid
+ relating to Penderecki and his music
+ 'a state of pending'; something in process; LACHESIS minus the deathly (or fated) connotation; not which is ending, but that is either transpiring, or preparing to.

It works, oddly, for Penderan, given that he's a Hatter figure imprisoned at 6 o'clock.

And amen to the Fauste, I was looking for it too after having seen Dr Faustus, which oddly comes back again and again to haunt my memory. Well it is almost a year now...

I was even trying out Heinrich (the first name of Faust in Goethe`s drama).

And oddly it falls onto 8 Sagittarius in my chart, conj. Atlantis on the very degree, conjunct my ASC-Angel-Lust, Neptune-NN, too, oh and Groom and the name Judd in my chart.

It also falls onto Mr Law`s Lucifer exactly (yeah we have a Lucifer-Angel-conjunction at one degree, with his Lucifer on hte same degree as my Heinrich-Atlantis), and yeah, close to our Bride-Groom-conjunction which includes his name in my chart, and both ASC`c. Enough of that!

I used to do 'Suddenly' with a partner who ended up going off and getting pretty big in the South American pop market. Oddly enough, the song that I 'wrote' ('Is It Right?') has a chorus that goes right into the end of 'Suddenly'. (Weird.)
