I've done plenty of searches on this site & on Google for interpretations of these 2 planets aspecting each other in synastry, for for some reason it's still kind of hard to understand for me. In this synastry you can see MAN's saturn is squaring the WOMAN's venus. So my question(s) are..

1. Have YOU experienced theses 2 planets in synastry, if so what did it feel like for you? Were u saturn or venus & was is trine, square, opp, or cunjunct?

2.How do YOU think this aspect will play out for these too?

3. Do "nice" aspects help tone down the harshness of the square? (ex: jupiter is also squaring the woman's venus & mans saturn is trining woman's sun)

My saturn is square my boyfriends venus (5 degrees) and his jupiter is square my venus It's both lose aspect, but they still count I think!

I can feel this aspect from time to time, where it could feel like there is some kind of wall between us. I just pray for this wall not growing thicker, but it always feel like at some point we have to destroy the wall between us and start all over. It's not very present, but just sometimes I can feel that I'm not completely myself towards him, because I feel a little bit insecure. I'm also aware that over time this aspect could be a killer. We have only been together for little over a year, so I'm thinking that in the future if we get kids or move together we have to be really good at moving that wall away between us, or else I think we will become totally alien and not really be happy anymore. It's important that things not grow stiff and feel like stone cold saturn in a nutshell.

I do think Jupiter is a winner in synastry (and in our synastry as well) because we have many good jupiter aspect that helps losen the atmosphere between us and make life a littler more bright. We have fun together and make eachother laugh, that's really important for me, and that makes totally sure about that we will overcome this aspect and not let it grow with time!

Saturn is also about being patient and hard work you know!

My fiance and I have Saturn/Venus dw both in very close aspect.. his Saturn trine my Venus under less than 1 and my Saturn sextile his Venus 1º.

Yes, I feel like it can be restricting, but knowing the potential for these aspects I make a point of letting him be him. After all, its the reason I fell in love with him do remember that Saturn can be binding, as well.

I think people in relationships that involve strong Saturn in synastry need to reinforce the lighter side. To be reminded of the fun and love (Venus) they share and to try to not be overbearing (Saturn) if they are to last happily. If Saturn is too cold or controlling toward Venus she will run for the hills. This is especially true of my partner and I. Me an Aries Venus and him an Aqua Venus.

It isn't going to be perfect all the time, but Saturn will provide the base structure of stability that all long-term relationships require.

Ok I see, but Do you think the houses these aspects touch show where the "controlling & restricting" will be seen? For exsample in the chart above saturn in in the second house, and venus is in the 11th, would that mean saturn would restrict/control venus' activities with friends? Or is it more where saturn falls in the overlay?

Did he ever try to control you or give you advice on some thing you didn't ask him to comment on? & so would you say saturn sometimes feels like a nagging parent ready to reprimand you the minute they don't agree with you're behavior ?what houses where saturn&venus in

sometimes he was acted like a parent who tried to make me right and was jealous and possesive with me and other times he acted like he didn't care..sometimes i avoided to answer his questions and he tried to make my friends tell him(really annoying).our relationship was like who will hurt the other more-there was pluto in the mix-i still don't know how it lasted even that long.
but again the all synastry will show, you can't isolate one aspect i have a moon venus square and his neptune-saturn conjunction squared my moon and opposited my venus..so it was reallyy hard
my venus in his 7th placidus/8th whole signs
his saturn in my 6th placidus/7th whole signs

It would be both really. There are 2 receptors in all contacts in a synastry, the direct aspect to the planet/s and the houses it falls in. So here Saturn may be controlling with the partner's money and creature comforts. Either by restricting what the house person is allowed to spend, or possibly the income itself (ie preventing them from pursuing a career that would enhance their status). To see what Saturn affects in terms of the planet receptor you look to see what planet it's in contact with and what house that planet is in. Because the sign and house of the native planet decide how that planet acts.

Remember, a synastry overlay is like a long lasting transit.

Yes, sometimes I do, but only according to "cleaning" stuff. I would like him to clean up after himself a little more, thats it lol:P So I often nag a little or try to joke with him that it's always me who does the dishes, and I don't know if he thinks it's restricting, but in my head I just think It's fair enough that we share these duties about house-cleaning.
I'm virgo sun opposite his pisces moon so this is the most clishé kind of argument we can have lol!

Both our saturn is in each others 7th house, and we also got saturn in 7th house in the composite

My man's Saturn squares my stellium of sun, moon, and mercury. I square this stellium natally also (because our saturns conjunct). I'm not sure if he makes me feel restricted...yet. I was wondering if my natal squares will make his aspect easier for me to handle? What do you guys think? I have asked this before in the forum but I didn't get comments on this.. Maybe it's really bad!!!

Besides our jupiter conjunction (wide @ 5 deg), here are other aspects to just list a few...

His jupiter:
- sextil my venus (wide @ 5 deg)
- sextil my mars (wide @ 4 deg)
- quintile my saturn (1 deg)

My jupiter:
- square his sun (very wide @ 7 deg) - is this okay to count??
- sextil his mercury (exact)
- trine his mars (1 deg)
- sextil his saturn (wide @ 4 deg)

I had the opposition with my x husband at 1deg. I was Venus. I was a party girl when I met him. He totally calmed me down, which was great and necessary. I guess one does need to grow up eventually!

He always helped me to grow and supported me. He was never controlling or critical or anything like that. He would give me his opinion and we usually agreed or if we didn't it never bothered him or he never resented if I didn't go by his advice. He was anything but a nag.

Maybe the bad thing was I ended up relying on him to keep helping and supporting instead of making independent decisions. Like, I would turn to him to confirm that I was doing the right thing. I probably did that too much.

I have Venus square a man's Saturn in Libra in his 7th house.

Saturn in Libra can often have fear of relationship to begin with, a fear of being overwhelmed by the needs and demands of the other person, and a tendency to separate rather than work through differences. This was true of this man. He also needed to be the dominant partner, whereas I wanted an equal balance of shared power. I loved him but he could not reciprocate. He was very scared of relationships (Saturn in Libra) and pushed me away.

Another example is a man I was in relationship with for seven years. I was Saturn conjunct his Venus. The orb was wider than people think is operative, eight degrees, but it was. He was outgoing, popular and charming. I was introverted and not as social, which bothered him. Saturn can be envious of Venus’s popularity. I wasn’t, but I did feel pressured. Romantically, it was a very enjoyable relationship. He told me he would have married me if I had wanted to. We were highly compatible and there was never any rejection or coldness either way. There was a nine year age difference though.

The actor Patrick Swayze and his wife had Venus square Saturn in the same signs as I did with the first man. They went through a lot together and it probably wasn't easy, but they obviously loved each other deeply.

My bf's Venus squares my Saturn. We encounter obstacles in our relationship...We knew each other but only got with each other a year later. Saturnian theme: Time. Another Saturnian theme is distance. We live an hour apart. Also...There is this 'us against the world' theme. Our environment/people around us want us to break up. My mom does not like me, his friends don't like me either.
We come from very different backgrounds and it's difficult to stay together.

But his saturn also sextiles my venus, so there's this double whammy. Despite the difficulties, we stick to it through thick and thin.
