Hi everyone,I have a double whammy of Moon square Mars with my guy and I'm curious how it plays out - and especially what especially would clash between us. We've had some disagreements, though overall a good relationship, so some advice on how to reach a more common ground would be appreciated, too. His Mars in Libra (11th house) squares my Moon in Capricorn (4th house). Then my Mars in Virgo (11th house as well) squares his Moon in Sagittarius (2nd house). The one with his Mars and my Moon is the tightest. I wonder what both planets being in detriment does for the square. Make it worse? Easier? Mars rules his 5th and 6th house, the Moon his 9th. My own Mars rules my DSC and my Moon rules my MC. Thanks to everyone who can help me. IP: Logged |

I have it natally. So does she. I'd imagine synastry to be a little similar. For both of you - if you find yourself upset because of what the other feels. Take a timeout before responding. Emotional outbursts is what I'd assume from this. Nothing to get alarmed about, just give each other time and space to cool off if it gets heated. Don't act on impulse. IP: Logged |

His Mars in Libra square your Capricorn Moon in the fourth house. Just going on this one aspect and not considering other aspects to this square, would you say he's the more outgoing of the two of you, that he's more social than you and attracts lots of friends whereas you are more reserved and private, and would rather socialize with your closest and oldest friends at home? I'm not sure the two placements in detriment make the square worse. Mars in Libra is charming. I had a Venus square a partner's Mars in Libra and it wasn't a problem that I recall. The relationship was very harmonious. Your Mars in Virgo square your partner's Moon in Sagittarius may mean that you annoy each other sometimes. The square will bring out the differences between Virgo and Sagittarius. Mars in Virgo is a hard worker, meticulous, attends to details, likes precision, and is serious and critical, whereas Sagittarius isn't one for details, they're broad minded, are interested in the big picture, and are more interested in fun, laughter, travel, and foreign cultures. The evolved ones are interested in truth, spirituality, and philosophy while Mars in Virgo is more practical. I don't see the Moon-Mars aspects as being so problematic. IP: Logged |

Hi Rie, quote: Originally posted by meissieri: His Mars in Libra (11th house) squares my Moon in Capricorn (4th house).
His social needs may override or interfere with your desire to stay home and build the relationship; you may see him as a little bit superficial with respect to his friendships (?) and he may see you as a bit overserious when you're alone. (?) But his sun is trine your moon...he likes seriousness. quote: Originally posted by meissieri: Then my Mars in Virgo (11th house as well) squares his Moon in Sagittarius (2nd house).
You may be particular and careful about friendships while he is more outgoing, just putting his energy into whatever feels right. Again, though...his moon is in the house of Taurus, smoothing things over with your Virgo energy. quote: Originally posted by meissieri: Mars rules his 5th and 6th house, the Moon his 9th. This seems to re-emphasize his interest in fun & partying, but his Mars ruling the 6H mirrors your Virgo Mars, so that's nice. Mars ruling your DSC could make you more sensitive to disturbances that affect your Mars, and with the moon ruling your MC, you have a difficult time hiding anything. (Which I actually admire-- that you say what you feel-- and your Mercury trine moon enables this to happen.) Plus Jupiter in Cancer gives you a finer sense of what's really going on with people. You may have to consciously give his Sag moon more free reign than you feel comfortable with, just to keep the peace. And be aware of how your Cap moon triggers his Mars, for better or worse (I know Mars square moon CAN be good sometimes...it's a matter of figuring out how to work it, I think.) For myself I know that Sag Venus needs air to thrive, and when men have given me space, I gave them more of my heart...it's odd that way. IP: Logged |

Connection by modality instead of elements. What connects you on the Moon/Mars pair is your cardinal/mutable nature. Conflicts are possible especially on the cardinal square because one boss needs to be "elected" out of these two, so that they can work together. His Mars is strongly on his duplicated 5th/11th, while your Moon is a very "housewife" one. So you can see two tendencies here that can cause conflict, but the fact that the planets are in aspect rather than just in those signs shows with you two, the compromise, the resolution is possible. Mutable squares are more adaptable and with give-and-take. Cardinal squares usually bring about "the election of a president" lol...or you could take turns when it comes to "who's the boss". The composite result is a sextile or quintile, right??? This shows that living together leads to an harmonious blending of these two aspects. ------------------
