Topic: What do you make of this relationship?

A friend of mine has been into this girl for almost 8 years. Apparently they were friends for a year or so, dated off and on for 3, we're estranged for two-ish, and have been friends for the last 2 years lol. I've only known him for about 2 1/2 years and have heard a bit about her but have never seen them together until over the weekend. The way they interacted was very interesting to see because you could clearly tell there was something between them and they were just in their own little universe even though they were interacting with everyone else, it was weird. He's told me that she's been the cornerstone of his life since they met and every good thing he's accomplished (he had a rough childhood and did some bad things) was because she was there for him, supported him through all of it & because he wanted to do good by her. I'm not sure why they aren't together now but, from what I gather, she's holding back for some reason. It made me sad because you can tell he cares so much about her so I thought I'd try to look at their charts to see if it would explain anything. I'm not too good at analyzing/reading synastry charts & I didn't know which asteroids to choose, so I just picked some off a list I found. I decided to put their charts on here to see if anyone could help? The only thing I could see that might explain their attachment & unwillingness to let each other go was that they both have their Saturn's conjunct the other's NN, but I'm still very new at this. if you have their TOBs correct then they have house overlays in their favor, the kind that would lead to fascination w/one another for quite some time, with years of fascination being quite reasonable. the moons, in particular, fall into the 7th/8th for each partner and she is impacting his 7th and 8th houses - that is a very powerful overlay for him to feel because all of her major personal planets and AC are involved. he also has his DSC as her sun sign, which is a strong placement. at the same time she has 3 of her major planets in the 12th house, and that might be where the difficulty is - lots of 12th house natal planets can lead to some relationship difficulties - trust issues, needing lots of space, etc. i don't think she is unaffected by him - especially given the moon overlay - but she's probably not as affected. it's good synastry though and they might have a good composite chart too if they've known each other so longIP: Logged |

Hi there, lightbones. Welcome to LL.I think their core relating energies might be at odds. He's a tight EROS conjunct PSYCHE in latter Taurus; she's got VENUS conjunct MARS in late Leo. They're square, by my eye. His being an EROS-PSYCHE conjunction natally is an indicator that he'll have a powerful soulmate relationship this lifetime. I doubt she's it, though. I'd expect a conjunction to his EROS/PSYCHE for that. But who knows? Maybe it's in Draco. I'd have to look more deeply. But at first brush? That seems a basic incompatibility. IP: Logged |

Oh sorry.. I missed the part where you mentioned who was who. OK, well I guessed right then. She is on the outside. The reason I guessed this is because you said she was the one holding back on being more than friends and the first thing I noticed was how his Sun & Merc lights up the outside person's 11th house while her Sun & Moon lights up his 7th. This is an indicator that he sees her as his ideal mate while she sees him more like an ideal friend. 11th is the house of friendships. Also: His saturn falls into her 5th house. This usually isn't good for romance. Saturn is the planet of discipline, structure, delay and obstacles.... we can see how these things don't do well in the house of Romance & Fun. I don't know about "soulmate astrology" but I think they have nice aspects!her Valentine on his NN/Destinn
his Angel/Aphrodite on her Venus/ASC
his Amor on her sun plus all that NN/SN activity
his Sun/Jupiter on her SN
her Moon on his SN
plus the Saturn/NN double whammy
^I would definitely think karmic, at least, with those. Sun conjunct Sun
Moon trine Moon
ASC trine ASC

I know, I thought it was interesting how she aspected his Angel when that's pretty much what she is to him! But, yes, her Eros is opposite his Psyche & his Eros sextiles her Psyche by 2 degrees each.

Here's the draconic if it helps anything. I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking for lol but she doesn't have anything that conjuncts his natal Eros/Psyche, but his draconic Eros/Psyche is on her natal Sun/SN. Don't know what that means.  IP: Logged |
