Sorry that you seem to feel very anxious about this relationship. Perhaps his Mars opposing your Mercury makes you feel like it's difficult to talk about your feelings.

I love his Jupiter on your ASC opp your Jupiter-DSC conjunction, and the fact that you both have sun conjunct moon. The quincunx between those sun-moon conjunctions may be to blame for the on-off nature of your relationship.

Look at all those pretty trines!

I'm not the most advanced astrologer but it's clear there is a lot of harmony in this composite. I wish you the best!

A few "glitches" that might explain some problems:

*His natal Mercury forms a cardinal t-square with composite Saturn and Pluto, which could feel stressful to him. And may be one reason he seems to communicate in a constrained way.

*With Neptune opposing sun-moon, there could be a problem of not being able to "nail down" the relationship or determine an absolute status. Neptune quincunx Saturn further complicates issues of "structure" in the relationship. Please just keep in mind, if there are challenges to the structure, there is still so much good here.

*Mercury-Venus on the South Node is cozy but could also make you both feel antsy.
