Topic: Retrograde Chiron...

I have a retrograde Chiron in Leo, in the 5h house. Recently I've met with a girl who had Sun and Mercury combustion right on my Chiron. It felt very painful to be around her for no reason, and I was annoyed by her for no visible reason. That made me verbally abuse her through some twisted jokes. Now finally, the question... My Chiron makes an Exact opposition to my female friends Mars and Venus in Aquarius, any idea how this might play out? She has those in 11th house. Thanks ahead!  IP: Logged |

Huh. I'm not really sure. But I'm wondering if my MARS opposite my ex-producing partner's CHIRON had anything to do with his abusive behaviour. I wasn't exactly singled out, but I got the brunt of it, by being close to him. 3° is a bit wide -- but I DO wonder. I'll have to investigate it. It's also 4° square my VENUS. IP: Logged |

Chiron is still a mystery to me... He brings pain, that is obvious, but... For some greater good such as development through it, or is he just wounding everything he touches because he can't fix himself? Pain is always a good thing if the endurance of it brings you some treasure. IP: Logged |

Yes, I'm not sure I ever really thought of how one's CHIRON might be affected by being opposite another's MARS -- and that it might be painful to CHIRON.That's an interesting direction. I'll have to explore it. IP: Logged |

Let me know then. I always want to hear both sides in synastry. Chiron is hurt by some aspects, it is not only that he is bringing pain, from my experience at least. But maybe even squares to Chiron are good, in that sense that they bring some progress after it, but the hard way. Much also depends on the houses. IP: Logged |

I don't think it's totally this aspect alone. I'm thinking there must be a square or opposition adding some intensity here. I don't personally believe the combust is that bad...I have Merc/Sun exact combust and I've never felt the negative side I hear about in some astrology circles around here. If anything I think my brain works better, im not particularly sensitive. If someone disagrees with my thinking, it doesn't destroy my ego. I kind of like hearing differing opinions...because sometimes I'm wrong. Maybe that because me Sun/Merc is in Saggy? My sons(he's 16) Chiron(not RX)sits exact on my combust. He's never been verbally abusive, he's very sensitive.
This aspect is part of the reason I feel very sensitive and understanding of his pain. He comes to me when he's hurting and I literally can feel his pain, and intellectually I'm able to help him see different ways to think to help him deal with emotions.
But we are able to talk very easily about the things he goes through and how to help him feel better. Because I feel his pain it's not something I take lightly, it means a lot to me that he actually feels better. His Sun squares his Chiron and my Sun/Mercury...so in everyday life we don't always get each other(I'm scratching my head often at his thoughts, lol) but when he's hurting it's like we are living in the same head.
You must realize my son has grown up with this energy between us...he's being forced in this life to deal with his Chiron wound from day 1 because he chose to be born to mom who's Sun is always activated it and because of that its forced to the surface...so he can heal! If your not used to this energy and it just suddenly comes out if nowhere it would have a painful effect...sadness I can see, but the anger I would think came from another something aspecting this also. Is the girl you met with Sun/Merc on your Chiron the same friend with Mars/ Venus opposed your Chiron? If so I'm sure the Mars opposition to your Chiron has much more to do with verbal abuse.
Her Sun/Merc conjunction would bring your Chiron wound closer to the surface as it makes you more aware of how your hurting just by touching this place in your chart and the opposition to Mars would activate stress and potentially anger leading to attacking her ego verbally since it's her that's triggering you to feel your pain more acutely.
