Just wondering if anyone has any experience with Mars squares (ie. Mars square Mars) in a successful long-term relationship?I feel like this energy may be one of the more difficult ones to circumvent. IP: Logged |

Just Mars square Mars, or squares to Mars in general? Because squares to Mars are very common.------------------ I seem to have loved you in numberless forms... LeeLoo's Esotericorner IP: Logged |

Well, I guess any. But I guess some are easier to handle than others?Ok let's do Mars square Mars for example then. Actually, that's a good question, why are some Mars squares easier than others? Random thought trail... IP: Logged |

I've been in a relationship with the dreaded mars square pluto. And no, that did not work out very well. Not even close. IP: Logged |

Mars sq Mars is not very common, but not impossible. The right Mars/Mars aspect is very good for being in sync physically/instinctively and on the actional/drive level. IMO, people who have a hard aspect to Mars in their chart as their main Mars geometry, prefer hard aspects to Mars coming from the other. In my experience, in a long-term romantic synastry, there is a high percentage of yin/yang aspects (such as Mars to Venus or Moon) and several well-placed same planet aspects (or same gender aspects), if we look at it from this perspective. Yin/yangs are very important for creating that bride/groom vibe. Same planet aspects are very important for similarity, there has to be a degree of similarity, every couple has a degree of being "brother and sister" or a certain percentage of kinship, being "buddies", a shared energy. Long-term romance is not possible, IMO, without the proper balance between these. Same planet aspects are not just this, however, because of what they rule, a same planet aspect can actually "hide" a ruler conjunction: for example Mars rules one chart, the other Mars rules DSC. So they have this double meaning.------------------ I seem to have loved you in numberless forms... LeeLoo's Esotericorner IP: Logged |

I had mars square Mercury with my ex. Our arguments were explosive. Like, he ended up FUMING or I ended up crying lol.I only think that we managed to stay in eachother's lives because our Mercurys trine and therefore, no matter how hard it gets... We are always able to sit down and talk things out. It just takes a while. Our Mars are also conjunct, so we tend to understand eachother's energy. When I'm amped up or he is amped up about an issue (not involving the other), the energy is never uncomfortable because we understand the passionate energy. I think that squares or oppositions with Mars have the ability to work, but there have to be other mitigating aspects and time. He flat out told me that if he hadn't know me for as long as he has/did, we would not be on speaking terms. IP: Logged |

my parents have some Mars-squares in their synastryher Mars square his MC 0°15 his Mars square her ASC 2°38 his Mars square her Uranus 4°39 I realize though they are not numerous, and only with the angles in closer orb, and of course squares to the angles are always a special occurence (as the square position is actually the midpoint of the whole axis). So maybe they are not that good of an example However my best friend and her husband have her Mars square his Sun 1°36 her Mars square his ASC 2°01 his Mars square her Sun 1°48 seems to be okay for them, they have been together for 15 years this year. Though I donīt really consider their Mars-squares as tough squares either, temperamental yes, but basically Sun and Mars are both masculine planets, both personal planets so maybe that is simply easier than let`s say Mars square Saturn
