Can anyone please help me figure out why I cannot move on from this guy? We only dated for a few months, but I've never felt a connection to anyone else like I did with him. He of course said 'he's not ready to commit'. Help please!

Here is our synastry chart. I am on the inside ring.

Additionally, I am going through a Pluto square Venus transit, with Pluto in my 6th house. Not sure if that is why?

It's really hard to see the degrees from this chart but it could possibly be because of Pluto trine (?) Venus. Pluto opp. Mercury.

I hate to ask, but is this more of a "one-sided" feeling? As in, is his attraction to me not as strong as how I feel about him based on this chart? I'm trying to understand how synastry works.

I'm sorry to say but his personal planets are unaspected (sun, moon & mercury).

Since Pluto (obsession) isn't active in this chart, I think it's because of Venus sq Neptune DW. You are not seeing this relationship in a realistic way, in another words, you are seeing this relationship in fantasy. No wonder, everything looks potentially rosey.

I'm no expert at all but it's weird that you feel so connected to this guy with so many of your planets unaspected. Your Sun/Moon/Mercury/Jupiter aren't aspected at all and it looks like the only connections you have with him are with his outer planets. Plus his Sun/Moon/Mercury is unaspected.

You should read up on house overlays - maybe that's why you're feeling such a connection. Specifically, his Moon/Pluto in your 4th house and his Mars in your 8th house. You are very Neptunian/Piscean so maybe it's more of what you thought the two of you could be rather than what it actually was? I don't know, hopefully someone else can help you out because other than the overlays, I don't see too much of a connection.

Thank you all for you responses. I'm very new to astrology and I'm not sure really how to read synastry charts. I was originally thinking my pisces moon was attracted to his scorpio moon and maybe because I'm experiencing a Pluto Square Venus transit right now. But I realize synastry is much more than that!

possibly you`ve had rather strong progressions then.

Though with his luminaries not aspected I am not surprised he wouldn`t commit.

Purely from the aspect figure there, it seems to have been more or less a predominantly sexual/ romantic connection. And sometimes we do tend to mistake that for a deeper soul-connection, just because it feels so good, especially in the beginning. And with Venus-square-Neptune things do not seem to be really clear at all. Venus-Neptune in synastry can feel like magic and give that soulmate-feeling, but especially with the square and opposition I would look really thoroughly what is really there beyond that magic-dust. And here there is simply not all that much.

So that brings me back to the progressions. Maybe you have had Sun-Moon or Sun-Venus or Sun or venus to the angles in progressed-progressed or progressed-natal. Maybe even Moon-Venus or Moon-angles (though in the case of the pr Moon this would not have lasted longer than maybe 2-3 months)
