Is he abusive to you? Is he playing games? If he's not giving you the runaround, is being legitimate, and you have a genuine desire to see where it goes, then quit being afraid, and do it.You don't need a chart to tell you to be brave. If, however, something is telling you that he's going to cause you pain (you'll know) and you have a tendency to go for the wrong men (you'll know) then you have your answer. A decade ago (about 12 years), he secretly admired me for quite sometime before he had the courage to get my phone number and started messaging me. I was not easily approached by man, and at that time, I was in a relationship too. I told him I wanted to be his friend instead. We constantly communicated through text messaging for about a year before he went overseas to work. By the time he went back home, I was the one who went overseas and I'm still now. Long story short, we haven't actually dated or talked to each other (in person) yet. He keeps asking me to go back home so we could start dating. I told him I wasn't ready yet, if he could wait for me for about two years. I know two years is long and lots of emotional investment will be needed. Nothing is sure yet. So, do you think it will be worth it? BTW, I'm not sure if he's capable of being abusive, my gut feeling says he's not. quote:
